And I just meant that those particular ones weren't for womens. I've wanted a womens jacket like that for a while......with a zip to the side. But now Effy (girl on popular teens UK show) has one. She seems to wear everything I've wanted for a while and now people think I'm trying to copy her. It's rather irritating. Actually, it happens a lot. VINTAGE VINTAGE, VINTAGE, VINTAGE http://clothes.shop.ebay.co.uk/items/_W0QQItemQ2520TypeZCoatsQ2520Q2526Q2520JacketsQQ_dmptZUKQ5fWomenQ5fsQ5fVintageQ5fClothing?_nkw=leather&_sacat=91244&_trksid=p3286.m270.l1313&_odkw=&_osacat=91244 go nuts Also, a lot of the j-style stuff sold in Camden is really terrible quality at absolutely retarded prices. You'd get much better value for money (and overall more affordable items) if you bought second hand Japanese brand items from Closet Child or Tokyo Alice . RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Rocky - Apr. 11, 2009 Hmm......I think I had those sites saved somewhere on my computer but I never explored them. I think I know what I will be doing over the holidays, thanks. XD It's all so pretty.......@w@ And UK ebay! If you meant to do that, then I applaud your consideration. ![]() RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Blue - Apr. 11, 2009 (Apr. 09, 2009 11:18 PM)Khel Wrote: uhhh waxing hurts a helluva lot less than these things seconded. wait... khel i don't think that was your intended meaning RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Khel - Apr. 11, 2009 Wait damn! XD RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Rocky - Apr. 11, 2009 Surely waxing would be all over in one swoop? Where as clippers.....would prolong the pain. ![]() RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Khel - Apr. 11, 2009 (Apr. 11, 2009 9:14 PM)Rocky Wrote: Surely waxing would be all over in one swoop? Never again. ![]() RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Rocky - Apr. 11, 2009 Hmm, I think I am confused about what hair cilppers are. I assumed you meant like plucking each hair out idividually though I guess you mean just trimming the hair right? I wonder how I came to such a conclusion......either way, you can see why I though it might hurt more. Also: (Apr. 11, 2009 9:15 PM)Khel Wrote: No, dear god no. Never again. AHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHA. I think I have enough pain tolerance RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Rocky - Apr. 11, 2009 I guess it depends how fine your hair is. :\ I don't think it hurts but some of my classmates think it's the most painful thhing ever. RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Bey Brad - Apr. 11, 2009 Clipping doesn't hurt at all though. Waxing is pretty rough. Only have someone who knows what they're doing do it. RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Narusuke - Apr. 12, 2009 By far my favorite store is a place called Buckle, I buy not only my clothes but most of my jewelry too, mainly my necklaces and belt buckles. I need a good place for earrings tho that's something I haven't found yet. http://www.buckle.com/product/product_detail.jsp?bmUID=1239492648959&prd=58030LMLS080&sku=4386710500&Nao=96&Ns=P_ProductPrice|1&N=42+26+381&NUM=24 http://www.buckle.com/product/product_detail.jsp?bmUID=1239492738294&prd=715554036TH827&sku=4986750200&Nao=60&N=42+26+386&Ns=P_ProductPrice|1&NUM=12 http://www.buckle.com/product/product_detail.jsp?bmUID=1239492772809&prd=48421DNMFL02&sku=2996443832&Ns=P_ProductPrice|1&N=23+42&NUM=12 http://www.buckle.com/product/product_detail.jsp?bmUID=1239492974604&prd=16840NB7239&sku=3270490000&Nao=72&Ns=P_ProductPrice|1&N=42+17+267&NUM=12 http://www.buckle.com/product/product_detail.jsp?bmUID=1239493027269&prd=881909653&sku=2151370000&Nao=12&N=42+18+280 http://www.buckle.com/product/product_detail.jsp?bmUID=1239493068011&prd=5284513141201&sku=1551354950&N=27+42+255 That's some of the stuff I have bought from them...yea I don't have a thing for crosses at all ![]() RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Sega - Apr. 12, 2009 Blah man ditch the Affliction looking stuff, really generic where you're at. RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - AnnieDuck - Apr. 12, 2009 And who are you to give fashion advice...? It's better than what you've posted in here. RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Sega - Apr. 12, 2009 Could say the same for you... everyone has different tastes and opinions. And who is Anne to give fashion advice? Well, considering that she spends most of her spare time researching fashion and there is a goddamn archive of Vogue and Harper's in our closet, I'd say she has at least some qualifications. RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Sega - Apr. 12, 2009 That was 6 months ago, i've changed styles since then. RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Bey Brad - Apr. 12, 2009 (Apr. 12, 2009 9:50 AM)Sega Wrote: That was 6 months ago, i've changed styles since then. So what are you wearing now? RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - AnnieDuck - Apr. 12, 2009 Frequently changing the style-tribe you pigeonhole yourself into is, in my mind, a sign that you still don't have a strong enough sense of your own style identity that exists outside of trends and passing fads to be able to give really solid style (not just fashion, but real style) advice to others. Are there a few key pieces or silhouettes that have transferred over in all of your experimentation? For me, it's been things like narrow and slightly masculine tailoring, military inspired details, and an over-all sense of gothic drama. As bizarre as it sounds, I find a lot of inspiration in looking at the shapes found in old cathedrals and furniture from the 1920s. RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Sega - Apr. 12, 2009 6 Months is a pretty long time... I still sometimes wear my Old stuff, but prefer the Vintage stuff. Also quite funny that you say that Annie, and yet you read Magazines which shove trends down peoples throats, am i seeing the irony here? I've been keen on the Vintage look for quite some time but never really went out to find Stores until i stumbled across a really awesome store during another random walk in the City. As i said before, Fashion should be your own choice... what makes you happy in the end. Sure, people are allowed to voice their opinions on a persons style ( This is a forum isnt it? ), but if this is going to turn into some Know it all thread then im out. RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - mdhvdukshsj - Apr. 12, 2009 i get what you're saying sega, but what you did ("wow your style is generic and sucks stop using it") is a bit different than what annie has been doing in this thread bud as for me, i dunno i'm not too huge into the whole 'fashion' thing. im boring RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Bey Brad - Apr. 12, 2009 (Apr. 12, 2009 11:03 AM)Sega Wrote: Also quite funny that you say that Annie, and yet you read Magazines which shove trends down peoples throats, am i seeing the irony here? i agree that vogue and to a lesser extent harper's are often guilty of trend pushing but 1. annie is analytical enough to realize this and doesn't take stuff at face value 2. the point is to pick and choose what you like from what's presented, not take it as is 3. how many issues of vogue have you read exactly RE: Fashion Thread: This is for all you awkward nerds out there - Narusuke - Apr. 12, 2009 (Apr. 12, 2009 8:50 AM)Sega Wrote: Blah man ditch the Affliction looking stuff, really generic where you're at. I was just posting some stuff I like, don't really care if its generic or not, if I cared what people thought about the way I dressed I wouldn't have made it through high school. Though at the same time that being said I have to agree somewhat, compared to what I have seen of some of the Manchester and Affliction gear we get pretty much the same designs recycled over and over just in different colors, you really have to wade through it, I mainly like the stores button ups and sweaters though, plus they have some really nice coats for winters in Michigan. By the way where was most of that stuff you posted from? It looked like stuff from Old Navy. |
