Its to distinguish between normal and Pro Beyblade. Normal Hasbro are just 4 fun, Pro is competitive with all working gimmicks and stuff. Also if you didn't know the pro Achilles is called Cho-Z Achilles too.

Not confirmed but from the shots we've seen on it, the metal areas actually shine like metal, like the TT ones did in their shots.

I wonder would that leave such a gap where slope and teeth Hasbro beys can't fairly fight together. I mean Pro beys retain all gimmicks, but also have teeth with usually gives it more resistance than just slopes which slide around.
