It's great if you've gotten sick of that red Valkyrie Layer (as I have).

Great update! Only one question, why isn't XGX on the list. I heard it was the same or better than XHX.

Forgot about that. It's been added to the list. Smile

YOOOOO, do you plan on coming back for Burst? Gasp

And no problem, of course! This thread was definitely a team effort!

Just Wondering why Xeno Xcalibur isn't on the list? It's a great way and only way to get to get the sword launcher which seems to be more powerful than the Light Launcher with The Long Winder.

RE: What to buy to be successful in Beyblade Burst (Updated 6/27/16) - Bey Brad - Aug. 28, 2016

Sword Launcher is fragile and may have higher potential power but also has a lot of resistance. None of the parts from Xeno Xcalibur itself seem particularly good.

RE: What to buy to be successful in Beyblade Burst (Updated 6/27/16) - Mitsu - Aug. 29, 2016

Updated the OP's graphics earlier today. I have a few suggestions to go along with them.
  • REMOVE B-41 Starter Wild Wyvern Vertical Orbit from Individual Tops.
Orbit is still, by all means, a good Driver, but really doesn't seem super necessary with Defense recently becoming the go-to on Dark Deathscyther. It has the edge in stamina and you obviously run less risks when using it.
  • REMOVE B-08 Beyblade Start Dash Set from Sets.
The set has become pretty scarce and is also quite expensive, especially for those who are having it shipped directly from Japan. All of its useful components are included elsewhere on the list.
  • ADD Dark Deathscyther Heavy/Spread/Gravity Defense to Combos to be Built.
Let me know what you guys think if you have the chance!

EDIT: Forgot about one more important thing:
  • REMOVE B-28 Booster Neptune Armed Zephyr from Individual Tops.
Dark Deathscyther seems to make Neptune unworthy of purchasing. It's better in all areas that Neptune is. Zephyr is still kind of a reason to make it worth purchasing, but not a good enough one with Accel still in the game.

RE: What to buy to be successful in Beyblade Burst (Updated 6/27/16) - Hato - Aug. 29, 2016

I am all up for adding the D2 combo! Not sure how I feel about removing Orbit, as its use on DoomScizor is pretty good. While there is DHD, Orbit is still a good part, and is almost just as usable. The Start Dash Set is good, but with the ability to buy most of it's items for what should be cheaper (albeit different colours), I would say take it off the list. Finally, about Neptune; I find D2 to have better Defense, but I am not sure if Neptrius has better stamina, but I am thinking it does by a small amount. Either way, D2 has the upper hand in most areas, but Neptune is still used in some areas IIRC, which is note worthy. I am stuck on the fence on this one.

Great job maintaining the list, Mitsu Smile

RE: What to buy to be successful in Beyblade Burst (Updated 6/27/16) - SUGOI-KONICHEWA - Aug. 29, 2016

Since you want to remove W2 why not replace it with B-05 it's a good way for getting heavy and defense. As @[Hato] said for B-08 I'd remove it because you can get all of its items for cheaper price and for the D2 combos add them because D2 is really good after I saw many bladers from Toronto use it.

Since Hasbro is releasing the basic layers in two packs only should we put the product code for those as well?

Given the substantial changes Hasbro made to the Burst mechanism, the performance of Hasbro's parts is still mostly unknown. At the very least, the Hasbro Layers and Drivers are not cross compatible with Takara ones, so the list would need to be much more complicated in order to work them in.

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for making this list, Mitsu. This oughta make it easy for me to transition over to Burst after I went on a break near the end of Zero-G. Really appreciate the easy to read and comprehensive list.

Has Kaiser Kerbeus ever placed in a tournament? I get that it has hypothetical strong defense power but it seems to not fit in compared to everything else on this list.

RE: What to buy to be successful in Beyblade Burst (Updated 6/27/16) - Kai-V - Sep. 09, 2016

It did place in the latest Maryland tournament and was used previously in London to win but against a Variable combination. There is nothing hypothetical about its defense...

I'd keep it on as not only does it include Neptune which is still decent, but it also is the cheapest way to get Zephyr, which is a pretty good driver as well. It really depends on what's valued more: two decent parts or one great part?

As for the other suggestions (removed for brevity), I have no objections.

I've heard a lot of people talk about how it is supposedly good, but in my limited testing I've found it to fare pretty poorly against pretty much everything I put up against it (Victory Valkyrie, Xeno Xcalibur, Xcalibur, etc).

Of course, my testing was by no means comprehensive so I could be wrong!

I have tried this(K2.K.D.) outside the last burst tournament in MTL because we had no battle with attack type(may be only 2 battles) during the tournament so that's why I hasn't used it.

but I tried it against one of the brothers of MissingNo. and I have destroyed D2.H.D. with something like 3 burst, 5 OS. we have made a ten round test. and I think K2 have bursted one time because of double burst.
but in terms of stamina its missing a little bit to be good against a real deal stamina type.

Would this thread apply to some Hasbro releases?

This list doesn't currently consider Hasbro releases.

I think you should drop the b-22 set as it is getting relative expensive and add the b-05 and b-18 instead as there the only useful parts in the set
