RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - Mc Frown - Dec. 21, 2010 Wasting our time and effort towards the development of the real metagame by fuddling around with some carp hasbro only one that will benefit a few insignificant members. It will completely fuddle the beypoint system, and it will be using the WBO as a hub for it's non WBO sanctioned events. It can't require a blader passport if it doesn't give beypoints, so the WBO will not profit from it, it would just be a detriment. It will be a parasite sub-forum and an uneeded drain on the more experienced members. Why don't you just get a figurehead, make your own site and become like a partner site or something? Though you wouldn't recieve any WBO funds :V RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - |Joe| - Dec. 21, 2010 Because that portion of the site would be adding new members and such. While this portion would still have to pay for the server fees and such. RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - Mc Frown - Dec. 21, 2010 We aren't going to develop a new metagame just for these people, they can have fun with the facets of the game they can access. EDIT: I'm not speaking on behalf of the WBO either, so don't take it as such. These are just my musings and thoughts, and do not necessarily reflect others opinions. RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - |Joe| - Dec. 21, 2010 I think what he means by that is little kids who will just consistently SPAM the forum, or people who will just post combos that are only good in Hasbro stadiums. RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - Mc Frown - Dec. 21, 2010 Sort of, most people that can't import are younger kids and aren't really going to be contributers anyways. RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - Gearfried97 - Dec. 21, 2010 edit: nevermind RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - |Joe| - Dec. 21, 2010 Mhm this place would be like the Beyblade Facebook page and that is just a nightmare (shudder) RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - Brooklyn-Z - Dec. 21, 2010 (Dec. 21, 2010 10:33 PM)|Joe| Wrote: I think what he means by that is little kids who will just consistently SPAM the forum, or people who will just post combos that are only good in Hasbro stadiums. or not good at all, though Mc Frown you could have said something a littlebetter/nicer then "insignificant members" ,just saying :T if this place becomes like FC i will kill myself RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - Temporal - Dec. 21, 2010 (Dec. 21, 2010 10:18 PM)Mc Frown Wrote: Rock is good in the Attack Stadium : \ We'll do the testing, we just need assurance that the thread involving the Hasbro Stadium metagame won't be looked down upon and closed. So now we're insignificant? Bad choice of words dude. RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - Mc Frown - Dec. 21, 2010 of course a thread won't get closed, but dont expect the wbo to support it, sanction it, or work for it. And I wouldn't expect a Hasbro sub-forum either. EDIT: And I stand by my word choice. The WBO wouldn't be any worse off with most of us missing. RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - |Joe| - Dec. 21, 2010 I think a better word like "non-contributing" would've been better, but I understand what you mean by it. The younger members might not though and find it offensive. No because a lot of people here are around that age range. I'm saying around 8 or so. Stop taking every little comment into offense against you. Its getting annoying. RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - Temporal - Dec. 21, 2010 Okay, then if that's not a problem, then what is the point of this thread? Just wait for Burning Firestrike, and hope that it's good. RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - |Joe| - Dec. 21, 2010 That's what we're all saying, but people like to try to take pointless arguments further than they should go. RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - Temporal - Dec. 21, 2010 Huh... I've been arguing for no reason for 2 days... That's a wonderful way to spend Winter Break. I mean really. I thought that the thread denied setting up a thread where it says which parts are more or less useful/dominant from a LF/MS/BS point of view. We all know that eventually Hasbro will release a decent stadium, and eventually it will be added to the metagame. So instead of whining, let's just set up combos that are useful in the large size of the Hasbro stadiums to prepare for that day. You do not seem to understand that the top tier combinations for an eventual good Hasbro Beystadium will be similar to what we have for TAKARA-TOMY's Beystadiums ... I am not too sure what the goal of testing parts to make a "Hasbro top tier list" is, since Hasbro has made no Beyblade Metal Fusion tournament yet, those at Toys 'R' Us are jokes and you cannot even choose your Beyblade or customize it, and we consider their Beystadiums horrible here ... Do it if you want, but if you are not primarily doing valid tests for more important matters, that is not really helping ... Couldn't agree more, the WBO has worked too hard against hasbro to rectify the metagame to just then let a minority of people who want to play the game the messed up Hasbro way, which is way to unfair to attack types to be the viable way to play. RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - Mc Frown - Dec. 22, 2010 Yeah, although I don't believe this site was created to cater to every kid and their specific situation, but to get to the peak of the metagame. There was never a Hasbro ruleset in the Plastic/HMS era, and most people weren't to concerned with aiding those without access to the necessary parts. I don't know, it's a competitive site at heart, and competitive in the real metagame, not some lower joke Hasbro one. RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - PRINCEcharming - Dec. 22, 2010 So with that lot settled... Shall we agree to carry on the way we were heading? (ie: keep discussions relevant to Hasbro stadiums in the threads dedicated to them, which would include combo discussion specific to those stadiums, and new Hasbro stadiums are tested and reviewed for eligibility to be sanctioned for WBO tournaments) RE: An arguement for metagame adjustment - |Joe| - Dec. 22, 2010 I agree. And I don't really think there is much purpose for this thread anymore. Have you even read any post in this topic ? kai v, i think i might have been quoting the wrong person, sorry!! can there be a "Hasbro Beyblade Customization" section as well? i am sort of seeing what you are saying now, but why does EVERYTHING the WBO does have to make profit, isn't beyblade supposed to be a fun hobby, not an extremely competitive, no fun, high profit hobby? and i have read all the posts in this topic, its a good'un |
