I never really realized how crappy the graphics were in Halo 3 until recently.
Not that it really matters I guess, the game looks decent enough and it's fun as hell so whatevs.

I think it's cause the game has a somewhat 'clean' feel to it that exploits some of the bland graphics. most games are gritty and dirty nowadays and usually look better.
I've been playing Fallout 3 and just beat it. Sorta disappointed with ending..actually it was pretty lame.
I didn't even know I was about to beat the game until the credits rolled.
Good thing it has a lot to offer outside of the main story.

Fallout I can agree on (that game was ugly as hell), but Mirror's Edge looks amazing in full HD, as does GTA IV.
Halo 3's graphics aren't bad per se, they just don't really hold up as well as I thought they would. It's been almost two years now since the game came out and it's starting to show its age graphically.

I always thought the facial textures in Halo 3 were horrendous, especially in the cut scenes. The rest of the game looked fine, albeit bland but fine.

Is it me or do 3D games age terribly while 2D games have the ability to stay looking good for a long time to come? Especially when ported to a portable console that has a smaller screen.
