Thanks very much for the response. Maybe there is an article on Zombies, I just didn't see it.

Those are some pretty awesome paint jobs!

There isn't an article on Zombies yet, I really need to write that.

What is a Zombie type blade?
What is a left spin type blade?
What is a spin stealer/how is it done/what are the pros and cons?
What is the point of a wobbler? (I think I understand this one)

I could have sworn that there WAS a zombie article. Hmmmm. Anyway, you can say that zombies are endurance type Beyblades that are spin stealers. There's two ways to have good endurance; either the brute force method of having a high spin rate and so on, or by smooth bearings and spin stealing. Zombies MUST have a bearing base and circular parts. The purpose of it is to keep stealing spin from the opponent, and by doing so, both Beyblades will "die" at around the same time. However, after it topples, it'll continue to spin on the ground for a while even though the sides are in contact with the stadium. This is due to the bearing base, and the circular parts, to decrease the effect of friction on it. Thus, it'll outlast just by that little bit.

you forgot to mention that in order to steal spin your beyblade must be spinning in the opposite direction as your opponents beyblade, thats kind of important (no offense)

Heh, anticlockwise... aka counterclockwise in the US. Me, I prefer the term Widdershins.

I just can't get used to saying "counterclockwise", it feels such an unwieldy term to use.

I can't believe I left that out! Thanks!

I play a few times per week with my roommate.

I try for once a week. Even if I don't, I'm still on Beywiki everyday.

No. DD: I would definitely be playing more if I had people to play with though.

There isn't a lot you can do that you wouldn't already be doing if you were playing with someone. Just try various combinations, techniques, etc and discuss your results on Beywiki. This way you are at least communicating with people that are interested.

I'm doing a program at the cottage I work at, once a week, Saturday afternoons, teaching them how to blade with my collection. I'm alternating Saturdays between HMS and Plastics.

RE: Ask a question, get an answer! - jasonresno - Jun. 14, 2008

That's really cool Spin. How is it working out? Are they maintaining an interest?

RE: Ask a question, get an answer! - Bey Brad - Jun. 14, 2008

RE: Ask a question, get an answer! - Crimson Hero - Jun. 16, 2008

what kind of parts are good for spin stealers.

round ones

To be more specific:

Wing Cross
Tiger Defenser
War Lion
Bearing Gyros AR (the BEST AR for spin stealing/zombies)
Wide Defense
Wide Survivor
10-Wide
Customize Bearing Base
Bearing Base
SG Bearing Base
Defense Grip Base 2

Those are probably the best for plastics.

RE: Ask a question, get an answer! - Bey Brad - Jun. 16, 2008

Are we forgetting Twin Horn? Turtle Survivor?

Haha, yeah. Those were just off the top of my head quickly.

jasonresno Wrote:That's really cool Spin. How is it working out? Are they maintaining an interest?

To an extent... though they just keep asking me "which one's the best one, Mr. Fox?"

Time and time again, I tell them that's an unanswerable question, as it doesn't apply to actual gameplay. They're having a lot of difficulty grasping that, though moreso with plastics than HMS. Today, they just seemed obsessed with my RC ones.

And yeah, Brad, I just might do that, thanks for the offer!

Mentioning that Wing Cross can only be used in right spin seems important.

Also for good spin stealing support parts:

Defense Ring (V. Ape)
Cross Survivor (Dranzer V2)
Survivor Ring (Dark series blades)
Twin Guard (Blizzard Ortros - Takara)

Usually, it's round parts that have small spikes like the Bearing Gyros or Twin Horn ARs or parts with protrusions like you see all around Defense Ring SP, that help in spin stealing. If they were perfectly round, there would be very little friction upon contact with other bey and their spin stealing potential would be really low.

There were also some Wide Survivors that came with like, sand paper or something, that you'd put all around it and could be used to increase friction and help in spin stealing.

RE: Ask a question, get an answer! - Crimson Hero - Jun. 18, 2008

my next question is what parts are on cyber dragoon Battle specs, and
has anyone tried a double Screw Zeus before?

RE: Ask a question, get an answer! - FFX - Jun. 18, 2008

Cyber Dragoon Battle Spec.
AR: Cybernetic Dragon
WD: 8-Wide
SG: Neo Right SG (Metal Weight Version)
BB: SG Wing Base

This is from the parts list in the forum,

RE: Ask a question, get an answer! - Spinster - Jun. 18, 2008

That can't be right... Cyberdragoon had Jumping Base 2 for it's BB...

RE: Ask a question, get an answer! - FFX - Jun. 18, 2008

I thought that was Cyber Dragoon...and not Cyber Dragoon battle specs, which was a green limited release bey..?

It had that weird ring that had 2 large spikes coming out of it..

RE: Ask a question, get an answer! - AnnieDuck - Jun. 18, 2008

Elliot's probably got them confused?
