RE: Beyblade Burst Super Z Episode #25 (September 17, 2018) - Jinbee - Sep. 17, 2018
Oh boy... alright I better start reviewing this one then.
This episode starts by having the Bey Queen stop in Spain, the town where BC Sol is located so we're taking a small break from the Bey Queen stuff, thank goodness. Anyway, Aiga and Naru walk around in the streets which looks more like a Ghost Town with the lack of people. Eventually Aiga finds where BC Sol is and heads there going past the forest. On his way there, he runs into the deer Free befriended before. Free appears and the two fight like so much Dragon Ball Z. I was almost totally right about how Fafnir's gimmick actually worked with spin steal for lower spin and retracted rubber with high spin, as demonstrated here. Anyway, as expected, Free wins, 3 - 0 in fact, and also as predicted, Aiga is everyone's perfect little angel and gives Free a less boring battle right away. What I didn't expect was Free to be using his frame right from the get go. Well... I am sort of glad that we don't need to make another episode focusing on the frame itself but ehhh it really just almost confirms that TT really want you to buy that set, which is really no better than DLC if you care for stock beys from the show like I do. I got side tracked I apologise, but the episode really isn't that amazing either.
Moving on, after Aiga loses, Raul tells the story about how Geist Fafnir came to be and then Aiga wants to battle Free again. They do and Aiga not only breaks his launcher, but also unleashes his dark aura, which Free sense and has to use his full power for, and Aiga once again manages to give Free a slight challenge, even moreso here. As some people have confirmed, the teeth on the Absorb drivers ring and it's base were meant to keep it stationary for the sake of an aggressive movement which again is something that should only work with the show, not real life... sorry I got sidetracked again. Well anyway the move in the show works how you expected, push Fafnir down enough times and Free counters, which bursts Achilles. Aiga is unconscious until Naru wakes him up and Raul conveniently has and shows the new Xtend Plus chip, which Aiga puts on, CHA-CHING! The episode surprisingly ends with Aiga holding his dark glowing Achilles which he doesn't even notice.
I apologise if I don't sound to enthusiastic this time around, more so than usual. This episode, beside maybe seeing Fafnir in action and maybe Aiga's very brief moments of darkness, was just overall very underwhelming to me. Even though this does take a break from the Bey Queen arc for a bit, this certainly didn't offer anything better in my honest opinion. I was hoping we got to go to the BC Sol headquarters, maybe meet the old gang, but we never got to, it would be so funny if Ranjiro and Rantaro met again, with the same voices and personality and all. But we were relegated to the boring forest area which wasn't interesting after two minutes. Free vs Aiga was completely predictable, but that was expected. The whole dark Aiga thing, while still more prominent here than in other episodes, was underplayed. Yeah, Free did have to stop Aiga when he was dark, but the build up wasn't really there, and it was rather brief anyway, maybe it gets worse for Aiga, who knows. Oh yeah and I should point out Free has "new" special moves, Geist Spin (even though it's just Drain Spin renamed), Absorb Break (even though it's just a rename of Nothing Breaker) and Geist Claw, which is his most original new move so far.

My best guess with Dark Aiga/ Dark Phi. Valt and Fubuki have both brought up the concept of resonance, and how Aiga might be the most talented blader out there when it comes to this front. My guess is that when harmonizing with they beys, the feelings are captured by the beys, allowing more of the beys potential to be drawn out. However as they harmonize, bladers need to be very careful with their emotions as any dark emotions will also be sensed by the Bey and Augmented, creating mass havoc.
So far Phi seems to be consistently harmonizing and delving into the dark harmony, and in this episode it looks like Aiga's obsession with being the best has also caused him to delve there as well. Most likely someone "cough" Valt "cough" Cho-Z Valkyrie "cough"will need to help drag him out of it. Though not necessarily be the one to teach him to not rely on dark emotions and control harmonizing more.....
Now who has experience with harmonizing with their beys and spent most of last season bascially completely off the deep end mirring in the dark stuff.
......Oh Yeah You Know Who is Coming Back...

i like how the anime implying that free lost due to his body giving up vs valt. and the battle could've ended differently, like I always said free beat himself lol that aside it was great seeing free being a boss.

This episode is great.
But Free used all his three special moves and his full power mode in this episode... This gave me a feeling that he is going to be defeated soon.

Did you all notice how Free can control his full power state now? In the episode he did that two times in a row without struggling at all! Did you also notice the change from his brown shoes to his turquoise boots? They look pretty cool!
