Diet drinks cause much less fat gain than full sugar drinks. I did one bulking cycle whilst having loads of full sugar drinks and a current bulk cycle with diet drinks. The theory behind diet drinks making people fatter is that they cause cravings for sugary things and affect the brain cells that are responsible for making you 'full'. That's what I read on a news site, but from experience I can safely say diet drinks have definitely helped me stave off fat gain.

They do stave off fat gain - consumed in identical amount to the regular one and with no compensation. But, Aspartame is just not safe for human consumption. It really does have long-term effects on the body that I find a bit of heft in my gullet preferable to.

I just took the SAT today. It was part of the Duke University Talent Search program, and a couple of my friends from school took it today as well. Wasn't as unimaginably hard as I thought it would be, but it is quite the way to waste spend five hours of my day.

Oh hey, you know what else I always think about with my food: Who has the soul to watch the animal they're eating, die? I don't, so wait, why would I eat meat?
I also think about this: Humans are such smart creatures. How many other animals that are dumber than us, nastier than us, and weirder than us, eat other organism's bodily fluids (in the wild of course, not what humans feed them)? I can't think of any that humans eat. So are the animals gross or humans? We drink cows fluids, goats fluids, chicken's dead children, and each of those animals are herbivores.

@Shab: Plenty of carnivores and omnivores drink the most abundant bodily fluid of all: blood. Plus, lots of them eat all of the viscera - intestines included. My money is on animals being way, way grosser than humans.

Food chain isn't based on karma dude. That's like saying "well grass doesn't hunt other plants and eat them so cows shouldn't eat it."
I eat meat because I like it, it tastes nice, and it's good for my diet.

The math section was the only ridiculous part. I understand that for 7th graders like myself, they want us to come in there with what we already know, but dayum.
@Aru: I actually did do some parctice tests. It wouldn't make much sense to come into the testing room completely unprepared

Being allergic to all protein substitutes, I have absolutely no remorse in eating meat, and as such I do not see why anybody else would have any.

Today, I walked a mile to a Walgreens, then a block to a Rite Aid, and then walked about 2 miles more to a Fred Myers, where I bought a Rockstar. After that, I got a bus ticket, and rode a few miles to a Target, then hopped back on the bus to go to the Walgreens again, where my mom picked my friend and I up.
We were searching for those MLP: FiM Blind Bags... We failed to find them at every shop we looked at...

I would think it'd actually be the other way: people who have the choice should feel bad that they ate a once living animal for their own pleasure. But hmm, interesting.
For me, first of all my conscience just makes me feel bad when I eat an animal product, and secondly, I just feel so much better when I'm animal product free.
Edit: PETF (People for the Eating of Tasty Fruits). Fruits are my favourite food in the whole world. I absolutely love farmers markets.

I was at the DC Auto Show today and went to the "Engineering of the future" section. I regret to inform you that in the future we will all drive electric cars that look like terrible dumpy versions of the same electric vehicles we see today (Tesla excepted)...

I work at one in the summer. Have been doing so for a while now.
It's nice eating all the fresh grown NW veggies in the summer.
A lot tastier than the store stuff. The corn is amazing, too.

I've pretty much been sticking to the GOOD cereal bars for a few months. Quaker bars. Get them. Super-effective.
Banana Bread tastes like a regular quality slice, albeit just faintly distant.
Cinnamon Roll tastes lightly like one, but definitely a Cinnamon Roll noticeable sensation.
The Protein is very potent in this basically.

Like hell I will. I will continue driving gas-powered volkswagens until they become illegal, if ever a sorry day such as that should come.
Affordability and electric car are still not synonymous things, iirc, and I don't really see that changing. They're also high-maintenance and terribly built, from an engineering point of view - I believe we have discussed something like this before, Arupaeo! Cramming too much technology in cars: how to make maintenance even more stressful.

Could absolutely anything be more pointless than trying to imagine what the universe would be like if we didn't exist? It would be the same as if we did - completely uncaring. The moon might be slightly upset that it lost a dance partner.

It does not taste disgusting, it just tastes sweet. Is you isolate the sensory to just 'taste'. You're only able to taste sweet, salty, bitter, sour, savory. Unless your brain perceives all manner of 'sweetness' and translates it as 'disgusting', then it's incorrect. Only the level of sweetness is different.
What you perceive as disgusting is the combination of those 5 tastes, and your olfactory reaction to its aroma. So just to get the facts straight, aspartame by itself is not disgusting. Diet Coke is.
