I'm gonna have to cancel the contest, even after one day of its release. That, and I might see some similar OCs to what I've planned for later chapters. So uh, sorry people.. Not Jormungandr, but thanks for understanding. RE: Beyblade Burst: Sisu - SpeedySuomi - Jan. 14, 2022 Chapter 13: The World You've Entered Spoiler (Click to View) I can't see too clearly, but it looks like he's using a Defense-type. It also looks like that's not how it originally looks. Seems like it, maybe it's the opposite of Takeru's Bey. I see some potential in it, it's very interesting. That's an interesting Bey indeed but, where the hell did this guy come from? I know I'm fighting now, but I believe he snuck in here without a sound. That's strange, but I'm glad that we got a bit of support. Naizen frowned and clenched his fist. Naizen: You're as annoying as ever... Izayoi! Origami shook his head, smiling. Origami: I could say the same for you, you're just like how you were back then. Naizen scoffed at his remarks. Naizen: Well sadly, your Bey doesn't hold a candle to mine! Nemesis began spinning faster and was engulfed in a dark purple flame. Naizen: Nemesis! It then knocked both Beys away with great force, but Orichalcum was shielding Nemesis. Naizen: I didn't take you out, Origami. But that's one of you gone! Good riddance, Venni! Origami: You see, that's where you're wrong. As Vainamoinen hit the wall, its blades were pushed back resulting in it being shot towards Nemesis who was charging towards it. Naizen: Tch, get out of my way! Origami: Five... four... He's counting? They clashed for several seconds before Vainamoinen was brought to the floor, Origami: Three... two... This allowed Nemesis to hit it three times, with the final hit destabilizing Vainamoinen and allowing it to bounce off towards Orichalcum. Naizen: Begone! Origami: One. Orichalcum tilted at an angle, matching that of Nemesis' angle, parrying it and making a loud clanging noise. Kyouka: Agh! That's loud! Naizen: Oh, you gotta be sh*tting me! Origami: I'm not, sadly. Nemesis slipped against Orichalcum's ring, allowing Orichalcum to catch its blade. Origami: Phantasmal Hand. A mist-like aura surrounded Orichalcum as it slammed it into the wall. Naizen: You... Origami: Oh, are you angry? Origami smirked at Naizen, looking at him with his blind eyes. He's blind, but he's no joke. Orichalcum ran back towards the center, preparing itself for Nemesis' oncoming assault. Naizen (screaming): GET BACK HERE! Nemesis tilted, its free-spinning ring grinding against the floor and allowing it to dash towards Orichalcum. Venni: I'm not yet gone. Venni came in from behind Orichalcum, moving past its right side and destabilizing it. Naizen: I was looking forward to battling you earlier, but now you're just a big headache. Venni: Don't worry, because it's going to worsen. Orichalcum also appeared from behind, dealing a second blow to Nemesis which sent it flying towards the wall. Origami: Nice one. Origami smiled like he always did as Nemesis was then lifted into the air upon impact. Naizen: That's my line! Nemesis was sent airborne, but it only went down towards them. He's going for the drop! Venni: Vainamoinen, watch it! Origami: Oh dear. Vainamoinen and Orichalcum instinctively dashed in opposite directions. Naizen: Fade into oblivion! A purple flame engulfed Nemesis just like earlier, and it smashed into the floor. Naizen: Oblivion Hammer! Nemesis sent a large impact around it, blowing both Orichalcum and Vainamoinen out of the stadium. Takeru: Venni! Vainamoinen landed onto the ground and laid there spinning on its last legs before Bursting quietly, whereas Origami caught Orichalcum in his hand. Ack! Are you okay, Vainamoinen? What does it look like? My body's separated. I wouldn't want to imagine how that'd look like, especially to you. I don't need flattery. Now can you pick me up? Understood. Takeru approached Venni. Takeru: Are you fine, Venni? Venni: I'm alright, it's not much of a big deal really. Naizen: That was dismal, but you lasted longer than I had expected. Venni wasn't bothered, but Kyouka frowned. Venni: That's what you get from a person who's never fought for 5 years. Naizen: You haven't fought for 5 years? That's no excuse for losing to me. Naizen gazed at Origami and Venni's friends. Naizen: Especially when there are 4 of you. Origami yawned loudly after Naizen spoke. Origami: Right... are you going to leave, or are you going to continue gawking? Naizen: What? Origami: I'm used to how you act, but I'm still annoyed by the way you speak. Naizen: You're acting tough for a blind, washed-up leader. No wonder why Tozakura was weak in your hands. Origami's eyebrows furrowed a little. Naizen: With that said, I'll be taking my leave. Naizen looked backward. Naizen: Remember this, we'll never fall. His Bey circled around him and engulfed him in a purple flame, causing him to disappear along with Nemesis. Kyouka: He disappeared again. ... Venni: Can anyone explain what's happening here? Kyouka: Him disappearing or the whole Tozakura thing? Venni: Yeah, Tozakura. Kyouka was about to speak but Origami interrupted her. Origami: Tozakura is a private high school, they're also dominating the Blading scene now. Dominating the Blading scene... Takeru: They're dominating the Blading scene? I thought "The Center" and the S-Tiers are the ones at the top right now? Kyouka: You see, Miyazono-kun. High school Blading is a different class of Blading and is operated by a different sanctioning body. She patted and rubbed his head. Kyouka seemed to be satisfied with it. Kyouka: Your hair's very fluffy, you know? Takeru: W-would you stop doing that? Kyouka: I would, but I like it. Venni: Stop that, you're being creepy. Venni pushed her off a little with the back of his hand. Kyouka: Alright... Kyouka got off of Takeru, pouting. I can see why Beniko had problems with her, she's a creep. Origami: Can I leave now? Or do I have to explain? Venni: You can, but the latter would be much preferred. Origami scratched his head and sat down at the stadium. Origami: Right, as the girl said... HS Blading is controlled by the International Youth Blader Organization. Otherwise known as the IYBA. Kyouka: Mhm, they're loosely affiliated with the WBBA but are separate organizations themselves. Venni: So in a sense, they're like Indycar and Formula racing? Kyouka paused and nodded awkwardly. Kyouka: I'm not sure what those are, but yes. Probably. Origami: Now that's out of the way, I'll remind you of something. Origami paused after he walked away, looking towards the door. Origami: This isn't like normal Blading. ... Origami: Also, can you help me real quick? Origami walked to the door but hit the wall instead. Origami: Ow, now where was that again...? Venni: I'll help, how did you even get here anyway? Origami: I just felt that something was happening here, also I think I left my cane outside... Why would he leave his cane outside of an abandoned warehouse...? Canes make a fair amount of noise when you're walking with them. Venni led Origami to the door, but someone else kicked it open. Where the hell is that guy?! Beniko stormed through the warehouse. Kyouka: He just escaped. Beniko: Again?! Akio: How did he get away this time?! Venni: He just... disappeared Akio and Beniko looked to Venni. Akio: Hey, that's the guy that led us to him, isn't he? Origami: That voice is quite familiar, were you the people who asked me for directions earlier? Beniko: Yeah, how did you get here in the first place anyway? Origami: I walked here, simple as that. Akio groaned in disappointment, putting his hand to his face. Akio: So we went here for nothing then? He crouched and looked down. Akio: Did he give you a name or something? Venni: Yeah. Akio: Really?! Akio immediately looked at Origami. Origami: Yeah, he's Tozakura's current leader. Origami's face barely conveyed any emotion, but it seemed like he had some anger welling up in him. Origami: After I was forced to leave. Akio stared at Origami for a moment and realized something. Akio: You... you're "Zatoichi, the Blind" aren't you? Origami: Well, I was. Origami got off of Venni. Origami: I'm just a regular second-year in Kaiten now though. Kyouka: No wonder why Mikage knew you. The blind Blader has had a reputation in the past, figures. Beniko: Who's "Zatoichi, the Blind" anyways? Kyouka: The person with Venni, I think we'll have to elaborate later though. Knowing this, Akio gritted his teeth. Akio: It's not even afternoon already, and I'm already greeted with a boatload of problems! Takeru was concerned but stood still. Kyouka: Yeah, it's been a pain for everyone here. Especially when that Mikage guy mopped the floor with all of us. Once more, silence ensued across the warehouse. Akio: I pulled y'all into this goose chase, sorry. You guys wanna grab a bite? Takeru: I'll take up on that offer, but it wasn't your fault. Akio tried to say something, but couldn't. Instead, he just sighed in dismay. Akio: No point in crying about it, eh? Right then... He stood up with a wide smile on his face. Akio: This one's on me! ... Takeru smiled in relief, but both Venni and Kyouka remained the same. I think Kyouka noticed it too, he's not in the best shape right now. Origami: You can go on without me, I'll go home. Akio: Oh no, no, no. Not yet, you ain't. Akio put his hand on Origami's shoulder. Akio: You've got some explainin' to do. Origami: Really man? Akio: Yeah, you'll get free food though! Origami thought about it for a moment and eventually decided. Origami: Sure. ... The group headed for one of the donut cafes around the area they passed through earlier. Beniko: Donuts, seriously? Venni flicked Beniko's forehead. Beniko: Ow! Venni: Show some respect, will you? Beniko: I know, I just wasn't expecting him to bring us into a cafe of all things. Beniko held her forehead with her hand. ... The group ate in silence for a while. Venni: These matcha donuts taste surprisingly nice. Beniko: Eh... they look weird though. Chocolate is always the way to go! Beniko ate half of her donut. Origami: You're not asking me anything. Akio: Uh-huh, yeah. I kind of forgot, anyways... Akio turned on his chair. Akio: Why'd ya' leave Tozakura? Origami instantly answered. Origami: Mom enrolled me there since she wanted me to be with her, that's all. Kyouka: You answered quickly, for some reason. Kyouka looked at him suspiciously but shrugged it off, taking a sip from her cup. Venni: Does it bother you that much? Kyouka: Sort of, but it's not a big deal right now. Origami took a bite from his food. Origami: I know that Mom's the club facilitator for the Blader's Club there. Is she treating you well? Akio: Heh, she's a good teacher. Akio took a sip with a somewhat somber expression on his face. Akio: She still lifts our spirits up even when we're down, especially with Pres. Origami: Things have changed ever since your old President graduated. Akio: Yeah, things really have. He chuckled a little. Beniko: Both of you sound like old geezers right now, you know? Akio: Hey, anything wrong with reminiscin' old times? Beniko: Nothing, I'm just saying. Beniko gave a small smile. Venni: Mind if you explain to me all of this? I feel like what you said back at the warehouse wasn't just enough. Beniko: What were you talking about earlier? Venni looked at Beniko. Venni: High school Blading, basically. Beniko: Huh. Beniko folded her arms and leaned back. Kyouka: To the newcomers here, I'll explain. Turning on her chair, she looked at the group. Kyouka: HS Blading is usually thought of as a lower class of Blading since students aren't provided with too many materials for creation. Takeru raised his hand to answer. Takeru: Why are we stuck here instead of fighting in the WBBA though? Kyouka: Because we're students, kids usually get a free pass in the WBBA when they're skilled enough or are noticed by a Legend or something, but there are some instances where high school students pass. Kyouka looked at Takeru with a little smirk. Kyouka: However, the stakes are higher around here. And I'm not just saying that to scare you. Akio: I dunno about that, to be honest with ya'. Kyouka raised her brows. Akio: There's still some group dominating or somethin'. It's all just the same. Venni: That's always bound to happen, right? Akio scoffed and gave a little smirk. Akio: Prolly, looks like you've got some experience. Venni was silent for a moment, looking out into the window. Venni: If you've been Blading for 4 or 5 years, you're bound to have some. Lui Shirosagijo and Shu Kurenai... what's up with those two now? ... Akio: I wanna ask ya' another favor, Izayoi-san. Origami: Yes? Akio's expression turned into a serious one as he looked towards Origami. Akio: Would you fancy a little battle between men? Origami: What now? Akio: A battle. Origami was once again silent. Here we go again. You really hate battles, huh? Even when you're not a part of them. It's not that I hate the battles themselves, but what I don't like is how there's always a challenge every 30 seconds. I see then, would you like to go home? Yeah, I'd want that right now. Venni stood up from his seat. Beniko: Where are you going? Venni: Home. Beniko: Oh? Well then uh... take care! Beniko waved him goodbye as he left the store. [Akio's Perspective] Venni left again, huh? He's a real homebody. Akio: You can leave like him if you wanna. Akio relaxed a little on his chair. ... A small smile curled up on Origami's face. Origami: Let me guess, is this revenge for last year's semi-finals? Akio: Last year? Origami: The beginning of your downfall. That day, huh? I still remember what happened vividly. ... In my first year, and our old president's last. [One year ago...] Akio ran towards another person, who had his Bey at the ready. Akio: That was a good one, Watanabe-senpai! Watanabe: Yeah! That was one hell of a fight. A boy with ice-blue hair appeared on the TV screen being the main focus of the battle that had just finished. Referee: Origami Izayoi, Burst Finish! The two looked at the screen for a while, seeing the results of the battle that had just finished. Akio: Origami Izayoi... that dude seems like a tough guy! Watanabe: He absolutely is, and he's not just some random "genius Blader". Akio: What's special about him? Watanabe looked at him with a smirk on his face. Watanabe: He's blind. Akio: Blind?! How's he even Blading then? Watanabe: I don't know, but what I do know is that he's my next enemy. Watanabe walked past him, about to prepare. Akio: Alright then, go beat 'em up! Watanabe: Don't worry, I will! ... Later on, Watanabe headed for the stadium where Origami was waiting. Watanabe: So, you're Origami Izayoi, huh? The speakers around the stadium amplified his voice. Origami: Yeah, then you're going to say that you're going to beat me. Isn't that right? Watanabe: We've gotten that predictable, huh? Origami: Maybe, but let's get on with it shall we? Origami got into position. Watanabe: I'll agree with that decision of yours. In the stands, there Akio stood. Akio: Go tear him to shreds, aniki! I wanted him to win, but well... reality doesn't give you what you want all the time. ... In the final moments of the second round, their Beys clashed with one another. Watanabe: Go, you can do this! Origami: Keep going... Origami's Beyblade pushed even further, and eventually, Watanabe's Bey gave in and Bursted. Watanabe: What?! Its Layer flew in the air, and cracks began to appear. And the rest... I don't wanna consider that as history even. [Present Day] Akio: You could say that, but the only thing I wanna do right now is to... ... Akio: Clear my thoughts, after all the sh*t we gone through earlier. [To be continued...] Chapter 13 is out! And it's shorter than what I would've wanted it to be, not gonna lie. When it loses stamina, the ring loosens up and becomes free-spinning, giving it more LAD and great KO resistance. Avatar: Vainamoinen normally appears as a girl resembling Venni's mother when she talks to him. But in battle though, Vainamoinen appears as a large bird with white feathers that fade into purple in some areas and also has a large, flowing crown and tail that fade into purple. When it screams, its purple feathers light up in a blue and purple aura. GBn. Ap. Sw' Spoiler (Click to View)
Energy Layer - Gladius Brunhilde: Gladius Brunhilde is a Right-spinning Energy Layer that features an elliptical, diamond shape similar to a fusion between Prime Apocalypse and Buster Xcalibur. Much like every Energy Layer in the Formula System, they feature built-in Armors due to their lack of customization and this Layer also features two large teeth similar to Valkyrie II. Forge Disc - Apex: Apex is a DB Disc that's elliptical and has its weight focused on one side like Blitz, thus making it unbalanced. Performance Tip - Sword': Sword' is an Attack-type Driver that features a six-pointed flat tip made of metal which has a depression in the center of the same shape as well as two swords surrounding it, increasing its weight. This Driver is a Dash Driver, meaning it has a red Driver cap with a golden spring to increase Burst Resistance. Brunhilde produces a golden aura with blue accents when she pulls out her sword. STn. Vc. Qn-0T Spoiler (Click to View)
Formula Blade - Skyline: Skyline is a Right-spinning Formula Blade that features three blades that are connected to each other by three small wings, similar to Guardian Kerbeus. Inside of the main blades are wings that get dragged inwards when it's spinning quickly, giving it a Bound Defense effect (refer to Screw Trident) and increased IWD. And when it loses spin, its inside wings get pushed out and give it more OWD while stiffening the blades they're on. Formula Core - Tennin: Tennin is a Right-spinning Formula Core positioned horizontally, featuring a person's face (the mouth isn't shown) with long hair looking forward and is surrounded by a veil. This represents the Tennin, a species of divine beings in Japanese mythology that is commonly depicted as unnaturally beautiful people and wear ornate, colorful kimonos that allow them to fly. Tennin also features 4 teeth that are slightly shorter than average. Core Frame - T: T is a Right-spinning Formula Core with designs that look like flowing silk curtains on both sides. Its underside is the same as most DB Cores in High Mode, so not that much change is seen in its height in High Mode. It has metal dust as well, making it heavier than most Beys. Armor - 0: 0 is a circular Armor featuring four blades that converge into each other as its design. It is also one of the heaviest Armors as of now and paired with its heaviness, it is great for Stamina and Defense-type Beyblades. Forge Disc - Velocita: Velocita is a circular DB Disc featuring six wings encased in a circular wall similar to Air Knight's shape. The wings slope downwards and are somewhat curved, but are split into three similar to how F1 front wings are shaped. The wings paired with the wall allow turbulence to be trapped inside of it and provide downforce to whatever Bey it's on. Performance Tip - Quantum: Quantum is a Stamina-type Driver that features a free-spinning metal ball surrounded by a large base similar to Drift, with the wideness of Charge. Inside of the base is four metal balls that get pushed out when spinning fast, increasing its OWD. These balls also allow it to shift its weight to wherever it wants, much like Planet. Formula Blade - Wraith: Wraith is a Right-spinning Formula Blade that's elliptical and features two large blades, each of which has jagged rubber and smaller wings in front of them that are somewhat blunt, like a fusion between Judgement and Zwei/Guilty. It features three teeth, starting off with two strong teeth and ending off with one average-sized tooth for the final click. Core Frame - AR: AR is a Right-spinning Core Frame that features a rocky texture and long claw marks on them made out of metal, giving it more weight than most Core Frames. Its underside is sloped upwards, making it's High Mode form the lowest of all. Armor - 7: 7 is an Armor that has an unbalanced design, having four wave-like blades on one side and three on the other. This makes it work as intended, and at the cost of balance, it increases attack power. Forge Disc - Ballade: Ballade is a DB Disc an elliptical surrounded by a frame with a shape similar to Aero, having 6 jagged blades that are inverted. The frame can be detached, allowing it to increase speed or power depending on whether you place it in or not. If the frame is applied its attack power and weight is increased drastically similar to Nexus+S, but due to its flat underside, it reduces LAD and gives it a scraping risk. If the frame is detached, its real underside is exposed which increases its LAD and removes the weight dragging it down, making it faster. Performance Tip - High Jolt': High Jolt' is an Attack-type Driver that features a rubber flat tip with six spikes that goes clockwise, increasing its surface area and making it faster with more control similar to L2F/R2F. Since it's a High Driver, it features a bar that lifts it higher in between and since it's a Dash Driver, it has a reinforced spring that increases its Burst Resistance. Avatar: Amarok appears as a large wolf with spiky, golden-brown fur that has brown lines in some areas, including the tip of his tail as well as red eyes and white fur on his legs. When he awakens, his eyes glow and he produces a dark gold aura. When he's with Akio, his fur becomes smooth and his red eyes disappear, along with his brown lines. CKl. Tw. Due to the components of the bearing, it's dense but lightweight, making its stamina better while also having increased defensive properties. Formula Core - Kalliope: Kalliope is a Formula Core positioned vertically with a beam note that resembles a harp in the center. This represents its namesake, Kalliope, a deity in Greek mythology known for being the muse who presides over all eloquence and epic poetry due to the ecstatic harmony of her voice. It features 5 weak teeth all around. Core Frame - K: K is a Core Frame with five lines going around it on both sides, similar to a music sheet. It also slopes towards the center, allowing it to trap turbulence in the center and create a vortex for increased downforce. The size of its underside is of average height, so there's not much change in height when set to High Mode. Armor - 8: 8 is a circular Armor with eight protrusions that go clockwise, while also being sloped towards the center like the 9 Armor to produce downforce much like the K Core Frame. Forge Disc - Twist: Twist is a DB Disc with a circular shape and four spikes protruding outwards that are blunt. Much like the Caprice Ring, it is free-spinning, albeit supported by bearing balls instead of a bearing itself. This allows it to parry off attacks while also having increased LAD due to its free-spinning ring. Performance Tip - Bearing Metal: Bearing Metal is a Stamina-type Driver that features a free-spinning low-cone tip that's made of POM and is supported by a bearing, making it spin smoother. Due to it being a Metal Driver, it has to have increased metal on it, and this comes in the form of a secondary bearing located at the base of the Driver which supports the shaft. Avatar: Kalliope appears as a beautiful fair-skinned woman with a light-green veil covering her face and orange hair wavy hair. She plays a golden harp and wears a green gown that reveals her shoulders with golden glitter around it, dark-green gloves that reach to her elbows, and a pastel green see-through outer skirt. This creates a Barrage Attack effect, and due to the rubber blades, it gives it defensive properties to some degree. Formula Core - Ifrit: Ifrit is a Right-spinning Formula Core with the side profile of a monstrous figure engulfed in fire, similar to its predecessor. It represents this Core's namesake, Ifrit, a powerful type of demon in Islamic mythology that is commonly associated with the underworld. It is thicker than most Armors, making it denser than most Armors and thus making it heavier. Performance Tip - Metal Trans: Metal Trans is a Balance-type Driver that features a mode-changing gimmick by twisting a cross-like part that determines its performance. When twisted upwards, it exposes a sharp tip which sets it to Stamina Mode and when twisted downwards, it hides the sharp tip and replaces it with an HF tip, setting it to Attack Mode. Since it's a Metal Lock Driver, it features a metal spring cap and a reinforced spring, increasing its Burst Resistance. Avatar: Ifrit appears as a deer-like beast with flaming wings and red fur. It has blue, flaming antlers, dark red paws, and a magma-like body which smaller body in comparison to its predecessor. ONm. Ps. TDs-13NM Spoiler (Click to View)
Formula Blade - Oblivion: Oblivion is a Right-spinning Formula Blade with an elliptical shape and two large blades that can be shifted forward or backward to change its performance. Normally, it's set to Smash Mode, where skeletal hands cover up the blades behind it and deal Smash Attacks in order to hit harder at the cost of having an increased self-Burst risk. When the skeletal hands are pushed forward, they unveil serpentine blades that slope downwards, allowing them to send Upper Attacks to lift off opponents into the air. Formula Core - Nemesis: Nemesis is a Right-spinning Formula Core that features the side profile of a gladiator-like face with wing-like protrusions on the back of its head. This represents its namesake, Nemesis, the Greek goddess of revenge and retribution. It features four tall teeth, similar to Winning Valkyrie's teeth. The helmet is made entirely of metal, and so are the lines on the outside of the wings. Core Frame - NM: NM is a Right-spinning Core Frame, with the inner lining made out of metal. It features lightning designs around as well, and just like the AR Frame, it has a sloped underside making it shorter in High Mode. Armor - 13: 13 is a semi-elliptical Armor that features four blades and a rough design similar to 13 and 12 but balanced in its design. It is one of the heaviest armors as of now, weighing heavier than the likes of 0, 9, and 10. Forge Disc - Polestar: Polestar is a DB Disc that features a shape like a rounded octagon, with 8 spikes all around it, four of which are on gaps and the latter being larger and on plates. Polestar is wider than most DB Discs, giving it increased weight and OWD at the same time. Performance Tip - Titanium Destroy: Titanium Destroy is an Attack-type Driver that features an 8-pointed flat tip made of metal with a depression in the center of the same shape, while also having a free-spinning ring surrounding it with metal lines on the outer ring. Since it is a Titanium Driver, it also features a secondary spring (alongside metal on its tip) supporting the reinforced spring from Dash/Metal Lock Drivers, further reinforcing its Burst Resistance. Avatar: Nemesis appears as a demonic figure with a hulking body, dark purple reptilian skin, sharp teeth, and horns that are pointed out horizontally and have spikes pointing upwards, similar to Sin Devil Trigger in DMC5 which strays away from its original design. Its avatar wears jet black armor with a gladiator helmet of the same color, in its chest plate glows a purple light glowing in the center. It has four wings similar to bats, and whenever it's set to Upper Mode, jagged blades appear from its forearm and when it's set to Smash Mode, claws extend from its knuckles. Nemesis produces a midnight purple aura with black accents. POc. Ov. MMm Spoiler (Click to View)
Energy Layer - Phantasm Orichalcum: Phantasm Orichalcum (usually stylized with the O as an Ohm symbol) is a Right-spinning Energy Layer that's part of the Formula System, which means it has a built-in Armor. It features a round shape and thick walls, and a ring that can be pushed out when spinning quickly, while also having metal plating on them. When it gets pushed out, it splits into four different segments resulting in the metal plating being pushed out as well as bars coming from between the gaps. These bars feature metal balls on them that help parry attacks. And whenever it loses stamina, the ring and bars get retracted, along with the plating which makes it smoother and allows it to endure the battle more. Its teeth are instead slopes that are supported by a rubber shaft and two rubber Burst Stoppers similar to the Bahamut Core. Forge Disc - Over: Over is a DB Disc that features a heavily circular shape, similar to a fusion between Outer and the 0 Disc. It is one of the heaviest Discs in Beyblade as of now and features a smooth underside which gives it increased LAD but is relatively low-hanging. Performance Tip - Metal Moment: Metal Moment is a Defense-type Driver that features a wide free-spinning ball tip that is surrounded by a shield-like ring that's free-spinning. These two parts give the Bey increased KO resistance, good stamina, and a minimal chance of tipping over or being destabilized. Since it is a Metal Lock Driver, it features a spring cap made of metal and a reinforced spring, giving it increase Burst Resistance. Avatar: Orichalcum initially appears as a large crystal that cracks and takes shape as a Roman statue with a veil swirling around its body, sitting down, peeking at you, and covering its face with its arm while looking at you with its golden eyes. Orichalcum produces an aura that looks like mist. ANNOUNCEMENT: Once again, I'll be changing the release date once more. This time to Friday. RE: Beyblade Burst: Sisu - SpeedySuomi - Jan. 24, 2022 Chapter 14: Past Transgressions Spoiler (Click to View) Origami: So, you just want to let go of a burden you've had for a long time? Akio scoffed at himself. Akio: Prolly. But it's a really stupid reason, huh? Silence ensued between them, but Kyouka broke it immediately. Kyouka: Hmm, I'd say otherwise. Akio looked at Kyouka, who was smiling. Kyouka: You can let it out if you want, I don't think he has a problem with it. Akio: Yeah but... Origami interrupted him out of the blue. Origami: You still hold a grudge against me, right? Akio: No, I mean... sort of but... Origami: Just admit it, you don't need to hold it in. Origami's sounded like he was burdened by something as well. It was oddly somber. Origami: Don't worry. Because in the end, you're not hurting anybody. This frustrated Akio a little, so he slammed at Origami's table quickly in reflex. Akio: What?! Origami: You're not going to hurt anybody, except for me. Akio calmed down, his mouth being somewhat open before sitting back down. I jumped to conclusions, that was a dumb move. Akio: My bad. Origami: Don't say sorry for what you did, I'm the one who should be saying that. Taking a sip from her cup, Kyouka then spoke. Kyouka: Well... the SAGA girls aren't really part of this affair of yours. But can you accept Kanayama's request? Origami was silent for a moment. Origami: I accept. Alright then, let's get ready... Amarok. Akio: You comin' Takecchi? Takeru was a little startled while he ate. Takeru: Ah! S-sure... Akio: Right, off we go then. Everyone stood up and left when they finished, with Takeru helping up Origami. Beniko: I think I just got into some serious stuff in here, I'll leave as well. Akio: No biggie, it's fine! Beniko looked to the street and back to Akio. Beniko: Right then, Kanayama. I'll see you around! Beniko ran back to her home, waving them goodbye. Origami: The donuts were better than they were last year, I'll admit. Kyouka: What'd they taste like? Origami: Mediocre, that's what it tasted like. Akio scoffed and shook his head, smiling. That's what Watanabe-senpai said when we last went here. ... The crew walked to the park where Kyouka and Beniko fought. Kyouka: What a coincidence, Beniko and I went against each other here. Akio: Oh really? Kyouka: Yeah, she won on the last round since it rained. Akio: Rain? How did she leave without some form of fever? Kyouka looked at Akio with a little smile. Kyouka: We had a hot bath afterward, simple. Takeru and Origami then arrived. Origami: You can let me go now, thanks. Takeru: A-are you sure? Origami: Mhm, I'll try to get the feel of the place first. That's just what I do sometimes. Origami roamed about with his cane for a moment, before returning to the stadium. Origami: I think we have to begin now? He plucked out the handle of his cane, revealing it to be a ripcord launcher similar to the Sword Launcher. Ooh, well that's very convenient! Akio: Hoho, that's cool! Akio looked at it with his hand on his chin, impressed with his work. Origami: A friend of mine made this back then, so I don't fumble around trying to find it. Akio: Well, he must be a good friend. Especially considering how you've single-handedly destroyed our school. Origami's eyebrows furrowed but relaxed immediately after. Origami: So you still truly hate me. Akio looked at Origami without a word for a while. Akio: Yeah, I still do. Origami: If that's how you feel then, let's settle this. Origami spoke with the same voice he had earlier in the café as he got into position. Akio: Good, good! Akio gave a big smile, albeit nervously. His heart was racing, and he was sweating a little. I'm going up against Origami Izayoi... one of the strongest Bladers in the IYBO. ... But I couldn't care any less at this point, I'm gonna beat the living hell out of him! Kyouka: Do we start it now? Or... Akio's voice raised while he was focused on the stadium. Akio: Yeah! Kyouka nodded and raised her arm to count down. Kyouka: Three, two, one... Kyouka dropped her arm, and both of them began to launch their Beys. (In unison): Go shoot! Origami launched his Bey with blistering speed. As if he didn't pull out the ripcord in the first place. That's quick! I know, Amarok. But just try to think about the battle, will ya'? What do you think I'm doing right now? Drooling over a top? A'ight then! Let's do this! Both Beys rode on the ridge and picked up speed before eventually meeting in the center. Akio: Now, beat 'em to a pulp! Amarok and Orichalcum raced towards the center. Origami: You're surprisingly fast, I'll give you that. Orichalcum tilted at an angle, slipping past Amarok and turning sharply behind it. Origami: But that wasn't the smartest move I've seen. Orichalcum pushed Amarok to the wall. Jeez! What's up with this guy's weight? Man... So this is how it feels like to be hit by a car! Oi, don't give up on me now! The battle's literally just starting! I'm not, I'm just saying that this guy's strong. Great, now keep going! With its rubber blades, it bounced off of the wall and into Orichalcum, disorienting it and pushing it off where it was, before arcing back to knock it out. Akio (shouting): Rah! Orichalcum landed on its Driver inside the edge of the wall, causing it to gain a boost of speed before rejoining the stadium. Origami: Phantasm Boost. Orichalcum and Amarok collided in the center, pushing each other back. Akio: Damn! Seriously, this dude's Bey is heavier than a truck! What was I expecting from an Energy Layer in the Formula System...? The two Beys pushed even further, and it reached a point where one of Amarok's blades got stuck on one of Orichalcum's gaps. Akio: Guh! Origami: Out you go. Orichalcum threw Amarok into the wall once more, causing it to wobble around for a bit while Orichalcum comfortably took the center. Akio: Hey, hey, hey! Get back up! I'm trying to, but my back's hurtin'! What the? You know what, I'm just not gonna question that, just get back in it! Amarok tilted violently, bouncing on its disc twice and scraping before regaining its balance and speed. Akio: Attaboy! Now, show 'em hell! Amarok circled around the stadium and sent a barrage of attacks towards it, which progressively got faster and faster with each hit. Akio: Go, go, go! Akio angrily cried out as he sent each attack to Orichalcum, slightly unsettling Origami and Takeru. Origami: This guy... Takeru: A-are you okay? Akio: Damn right, I am! Orichalcum's ring began to retract, signifying that it was about to lose spin. Akio: Hit it outta the park, Amarok! Amarok sent its final hit, but as it did, Orichalcum's ring fully retracted and made a full circle. Origami: That rage isn't going to get you anywhere. Orichalcum barely dodged Amarok and advanced forward so as to get into its blind spot. Origami: But I'm not in any position to say that, aren't I? Akio: What do you think? Amarok kept on speeding up, then it hit the wall with its rubber wing to bounce off of it. Akio: Bullet Claw! It struck Orichalcum with two consecutive hits of great force, blasting out of the stadium without any resistance from Orichalcum. Origami: You're very strong, it seems like you take after your senior. Amarok circled around the stadium and leaped into Akio's hand, where he caught it. Akio: Thanks for the compliment, really appreciate it. Before you start going on about me being pissed though and do some sort of monologue, lemme tell ya' somethin'. Akio wiped his forehead with his hand. Akio: This is only for you, and you alone. And I'd be more than happy to break your Bey. Origami picked his Bey up from the ground. Origami: It looks like you don't understand... it's not me you're aiming for. Akio interrupted him with a strong voice. Akio: Oh, piss off! Tell that to Futaba's face, will you? Our team's been fallin' apart ever since you did that to Watanabe. Origami's eyes widened. Akio: And not only us, but this whole damn prefecture also fell off after you and your friends in Tozakura after that run last year. Akio got into position once more. Origami: As I said earlier... He then looked at Origami with a serious expression on his face, even though he wouldn't see it. Akio: Yeah, you'll make me understand, huh? Origami let off a sigh. Origami: Yes. We'll deal with this, and I'll try to make you understand. Origami got into a stance once more, and the two prepared for the next battle. Judgin' by what I just picked up earlier, Orichalcum's got an outer ring with reinforced metal plates that widens and splits into four when he's spinnin' quickly. And when the thing's beginning to lose it, it goes back in. Takeru: Akio-san...? Takeru weakly called out for Akio, catching his attention. Akio: What is it? Takeru: Are you sure we should go on? Because... Akio swiftly cut him off. Akio: Takeru, this is my problem. Not yours, just go sit back and watch. Takeru opened his mouth but was unable to say anything after taking it back. Instead, he just let Kyouka count down again. Kyouka: Three, two, one... (In unison): Go shoot! Both of them launched in unison and Orichalcum went straight for the center, Amarok however, circled around as it approached Orichalcum in order to gain momentum while closing the distance between them. Akio: Don't give him any room! Before Orichalcum reached the center, Amarok pushed it off and sent a chain of attacks towards it, like a buzzsaw cutting through something. Akio: Wraith Frenzy! Orichalcum was blasted to the wall, but tilted at an angle, allowing it to slide through it with the length of one of its segments and regain balance. Origami: Orichalcum, fight back! Orichalcum tilted at an angle, unveiling more of the ball tip's surface to increase its speed. Origami: Accel Moment! Orichalcum dashed towards Amarok with blindingly fast speed, knocking it back a fair distance. Akio: Tch, eat on this! Amarok's rubber spikes came into contact as soon as it regained balance, causing it to do the same to Orichalcum. Origami: Impressive. Orichalcum repeated its move from earlier, blowing both of them back. Akio: Come on! Square up! Both of them did it again and again, sending a barrage of attacks towards each other. This is good prey, I'll admit! Yeah, good to hear that. But I'm concerned about ya' kiddo. Ugh, what now? You've been actin' weirdly since you've met with that Origami guy. What happened between the two of ya'? I explained it earlier, didn't I? Now shut up and get going! This isn't going to end well, I just know it. It won't if you keep yapping to no end! Akio: Crush him! Amarok and Orichalcum went at it and became faster than earlier. Origami: I'm not going to be. They hit each other several more times, until Orichalcum caught Amarok in one of its gaps, hooking it and throwing it a fair distance away to make it vulnerable. Akio: Stand up! Orichalcum turned sharply and collided with Amarok, where it pushed it off with one of its wings while stationary. Origami: Hm? Amarok regained balance and turned a little to gain more momentum as it charged towards Orichalcum, who was slightly mid-air and flipped over on its side. Akio: It's over! Amarok lifted Orichalcum into the air with great force, blasting it a couple of feet away. Origami: That was... what he said before he lost. Akio's eyes widened in anger and didn't even realize that Orichalcum was about to drop onto it. Akio: You piece of sh*t... Origami: Phantasmal Crash. Amarok tilted and reached out upwards, where it clashed with Orichalcum. Akio: Gah! Come on, push harder! The two clashed against each other, with Amarok struggling due to the gravitational force paired with Orichalcum's heaviness. Origami: Sorry for this. Orichalcum landed a final hit, which blew it out of the stadium with immense force. Akio: Amarok! Akio looked at Origami, gritting his teeth in anger. But all he saw was Orichalcum all alone in the stadium. Akio: You won, no surprise. But I'll get ya' on the next one! Origami remained silent, as he let Orichalcum spin in the center until it run out of stamina. Origami: I apologize. You cheeky mole, what's he thinkin' now? Akio: Damned show-off, you tryna piss me off more? Origami: No, this... this is for compensation. Akio's eyebrows frowned. Akio: Compensation? So your win ain't enough? You tryna screw with me? Akio was about to try and hit Origami but thought otherwise when he looked at him. Izayoi-san... he's... Tears rolled down his face, but his expression remained the same. He's crying? Origami: I apologize, for what I've done. Everyone stared at him in shock, but Akio gained composure immediately. No, no. He's just acting to throw me off. Akio backed off. Akio: Good one, you'll probably land an Oscar nomination if ya' go to Hollywood. That don't matter though, quit wasting my time and let's get on with it! Origami stood still for a moment before wiping off his tears and getting into position. Origami: Yeah, this isn't time to cry. Before starting her countdown, she gave Akio one last look. Kyouka: Th-three, two, one... (In unison): Go shoot! Both Beys landed in sync and Orichalcum instantly took towards Amarok's line. Going on the offensive right off the bat? That's not for you, dimwit! Amarok veered left and went to the other side of the stadium, evading Orichalcum. Akio: Idiot! The spikes on Amarok's Driver made contact with the floor and caused it to dash towards Orichalcum. Origami: ...Orichalcum. Orichalcum responded in kind with a counter by dashing towards Amarok, clashing in the center. Akio: Come on, push it! Orichalcum pushed further, but instead, it turned left to escape Amarok. Akio: What are you doing?! Amarok slipped through, causing it to lose balance for a bit before immediately regaining its balance. This little prick... Instead of moving away, Amarok wobbled in place violently. Akio: Pick it up, Amarok! It reached the point where it was fast enough to get back up, and when it did, it had thrice the speed it had from earlier. Akio: Jolt Drive! Amarok pushed Orichalcum into the wall, destabilizing it. This allowed Amarok to bounce off towards the other wall. Origami: Endure it... Orichalcum! Akio: Amarok! Bullet Claw! Amarok reached Orichalcum, slamming into it. Akio: Cave his skull in! The two clashed against each other for several seconds before Orichalcum somehow gained a boost in strength, blasting off Amarok to the other side. Akio: How'd that happen? Akio looked at Orichalcum and saw that the disc had reached the mid-point. Disc synergy? No, the Disc didn't have anything to note aside from being a circle. Unless it's... Akio quietly muttered to himself. Akio: Clever guy. That isn't enough to stop me though! Akio: Amarok, pay 'em back! Amarok was about to attack but Orichalcum was already close to where he was without even realizing it, resulting in Amarok being dragged on the wall by Orichaclum. He's super fast! Where'd this guy come from? Origami: I'll have to end this quickly. Akio gritted his teeth and talked to Origami with a deep voice. Akio: So much for 'trying' to make me understand. Orichalcum was knocked away by Amarok once more towards the center, where it immediately turned sharply towards Orichalcum, lifting it towards the air. Akio: Get out of here! Amarok followed up by dragging one of its blades along the wall as it leaped upwards, utilizing the heat produced by the friction from the wall. It engulfed that blade in a bright flame as it went over Origami. Akio: And never, appear in front of me, again! Amarok slammed Orichalcum from mid-air, producing a large surge of energy as it did. Akio: Incinerate Claw! Orichalcum was sent flying towards the stadium, but it landed just fine due to its Driver. Huh? What kind of bullsh*t is this?! Akio stared in shock, and Origami talked to him as he did so. Origami: We'll talk after this. As it landed, it released large waves of energy due to how heavy Orichalcum was and the impact Amarok's hit had. Origami: For now, please bear with me. Amarok landed at an angle, making it drop down running. Akio: Why should I then? You're really confusing me man. Amarok and Orichalcum collided in the center, for what seemed to be the umpteenth time. Origami: I want to clear up any misunderstandings you have about me. Akio: Misunderstandings, my foot. Amarok pushed against Orichalcum with great strength, forcing in its ring inside. This should be easier, now that his ring's pushed in. Akio: Burst him, now! Amarok sent a strong hit towards Orichalcum but endured it. Not enough kick, let's try again! Amarok followed up by dashing towards it, but Orichalcum evaded it with blindingly-fast speed. Origami: Let's end this right here, right now. Akio: Hm? Orichalcum tilted and lifted Amarok into the air. Origami: Hup! Orichalcum jumped off of the wall, going up vertically while being surrounded by a strong wind that resembled a drill. Origami: Phantasmal Lance! Orichalcum rose upwards along with Amarok, putting pressure on it as it did. Akio: Holy hell! It rose up 7 feet into the air, and eventually Bursted Amarok in the air. Akio: Amarok! Amarok's parts and Orichalcum descended at the same time. ... I lost... Origami: You're really strong, Kanayama-san. Akio: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Akio answered looking up to the sky, shaking his head with each word he said. Origami: Look, I know how you feel. Akio: Uh-huh. Akio lowered his head, looking at Origami. Akio: I'm still mad with ya'. You didn't drive your point home as well. Akio picked up Amarok's parts and rebuilt it. He then turned back and left them. Akio: I hope I don't see you soon. Quietly, he walked away. Why'd I even call for a match between him anyways? ... He walked through the streets without a word. Akio: What if he was actually being genuine though...? Out of nowhere, Amarok spoke to him. I didn't expect ya' to be that dense, kiddo. Dense? What do you mean by that, eh? I'm just saying, it's in yer' nature to understand people. You don't normally jump the gun and immediately beat them up for no reason. I just lose my cool sometimes, I'm not some sort of big brother figure y'all see me as. But still, this isn't like you. Try listening to him, he might have something to tell to you. Akio stopped in a spot without people and muttered to himself. Akio: I'll think about it. Akio continued walking, when all of a sudden someone called out to him. Akio! Come back here for a second! Akio turned back and saw Takeru. Akio: Takecchi? What happened? Takeru panted as he spoke. Takeru: I-Izayoi-san, he wants a word with you. Akio: Huh? Nah, I don't wanna see his dumb face again. Akio turned back but Takeru held him. Takeru: No, seriously! He wants to say something to you. Letting off a sigh, he looked at Takeru. Akio: What now? Takeru: Just... I-I think he wants to get rid of something that he's been with for a while. Akio gazed at Takeru for a moment, before gritting his teeth, looking away. Akio: Fine. Takeru: R-really? Akio: Yeah, just leave us alone though. Takeru nodded and led him back to Origami. ... The pair arrived at where Kyouka and Origami were. Takeru: Izayoi-san, A-Akio's here now. Origami sat with Kyouka under a tree. Kyouka: Well then, there's my cue. I'll see you later, boys. Kyouka left the group and headed home. Takeru: I-if you excuse me, I'll leave too. Akio: Sure, no problem. Takeru waved goodbye to Akio before leaving. As both Origami and Akio were left alone, silence ensued for a moment, until Akio broke that silence. Akio: Why'd ya' call me here? Origami let off a small sigh. Origami: Look, even though you still hate me. I just wanna say that I'm... He paused for a bit then gulped. Origami: I'm really sorry, but I don't think this would amount to anything. Akio: Sort of. Origami: Good to see you've calmed down. Akio: A small walk does wonders to your mood sometimes. Origami stood up. Origami: I'll also say that... I want to put this all behind us. He walked towards Akio, getting closer to him. Origami: I want to try and help rebuild your club. Akio's eyes shifted to Origami. Akio: What? Origami: Alright, I just want to pay my debts to you. Akio stepped back a little. Origami: I just realized the extent of my actions... And though I don't expect to get along well, I'll try my best to help you all. Akio was silent for a moment, before laughing hysterically. Akio: So that's all you wanted to say to me? Origami was confused, while Akio continued laughing. Akio: Well then, try your best to get along with everyone. He stopped laughing and gave Origami a serious look. Akio: Because I think our relationship ain't gonna be smooth. Akio gave one last grin before Origami replied. Origami: Heh, you're right about that. EXTRA NOTES: Spoiler (Click to View) If Sisu had an opening (Wolpis Karter - Believe in Bravery): RE: Beyblade Burst: Sisu - SpeedySuomi - Jan. 26, 2022 No chapter for this week by the way, since I'm gonna be on hiatus for like a week or two. Maybe three, depending on the circumstances. This is primarily because of the schoolwork I've got for now, so sorry again. RE: Beyblade Burst: Sisu - SpeedySuomi - May. 13, 2022 Chapter 12R: You're Mine (Rewritten) Spoiler (Click to View) The masked thief mysteriously disappeared into thin air as he fell off the roof, confusing the two Bladers chasing after him. This wouldn't have been possible under normal circumstances, not even a magician would be able to do that. "What on earth did that guy do this time?" Beniko said with frustration as she crouched down, looking down at the situation. "Smoke n' mirrors, Beniko. Looks like D.B Cooper's back at it again." A chuckle came out of Akio in spite of his confusion. In a hurry, Beniko picked herself up and dialed her phone for Venni's group. The man shouldn't have been far away judging by how it might've taken him a while to recover from the fall. "We should pick up the pace. He's really getting into my skin." "The guy already has, hasn't he?" Akio replied, smiling. Beniko paced around, waiting for a response from her childhood friend. With Akio being himself, he calmly observed the surrounding area. "Do your thing, I'm in the middle of something as well too." His eyebrows furrowed. "Something?" Beniko held the phone slightly away from her ear, her attention was instantly caught by what Akio just said. "Ah... I got it now." Akio turned to Beniko, a wide and vicious smirk plastered on his face. "Yeah, yeah. That is him." [Venni's Perspective, 2 minutes ago] We've passed the overpass and no signs of a thief have appeared yet. Yet I have this hunch that he might go back to this route. "Why are we still on the overpass? Shouldn't we be heading forward and intercepting that guy? Kyouka spoke with a calm expression on her face, but it was clear that she was getting sick of this. "We'll wait for Beniko to call us, we might get some info on what happened." "I-I know you're trying to play it safe but um... I think Chikamoto-san has a point. We have to move further west." Takeru replied with his usual timidness, a bit of a defining quirk for him. Looks like Kyouka loosened up a bit because of my cousin here. She has some weird... 'interests', for lack of better word. A hunch won't help us at all, so I might as well go with the more logical decision. "No, it's just that I had a feeling that he'd come right here." "It's okay, but a robber of that caliber won't be too predictable." We trekked on forward, but my phone vibrated in my pocket for a bit, Beniko was calling. I pick up the phone and put it on loudspeaker for everyone to hear, I'm just hoping she has good news for those around here. "Hey." Beniko was panting on the phone, shaky from chasing after the thief; "Ven-san! Watch out over there!" "What happened now?" Kyouka responded from the side. "Look, the guy just jumped off a building and went 'poof' like it was nothing!" I flinched as Akio shouted at the phone, mind your voice the next time you talk. Please. "Slow down, Akio. Where do you think he'd be at right now?" "Prolly close to the overpass, seems like he's going back so y'all have good luck on yer' hands right now Venni!" "What makes you think that?" "Dunno, but I'm gonna warn you about him. He's dangerous, don't mess with him." Akio spoke with a deep tone in his voice as if he had a past experience with our assailant. Takeru tapped my shoulder from behind, getting my attention and pointed towards something on his right. Seems like Lady Luck's smiled on us. "Venni, over there!" To everyone's surprise, that thief doubled back to our location and is now walking across the overpass. Guy's not too clever at all, isn't he? "MOVE! Go cut him off, Venni!" Kyouka made a mad dash to the overpass and brought Takeru with her. "It's good you found the person you were looking for, but I suggest we take extra care this time." Vainamoinen's voice spoke to me as I ran. And that's already a given, isn't it? You didn't need to state the obvious. "Ouch, that hurt. But in all seriousness, this person might have plotted out something for you lot." I'll keep that in mind, but right now I have something else to do. I run towards the exit of the overpass to my left, where I was greeted by him on the top step of the stairs. Running towards me, he does the same as well. I try to intercept his movements by running on the wall taking two or three steps on it before jumping onto him, and delivering a lunge. "Guh!" The thief narrowly dodged my attack and slid past me as I recovered from my landing. Smooth wanker. He didn't just run off though, he gestured to run after him. He's going to do something, like what Vainamoinen said. I'm not certain whether I should follow him though, those warnings from Akio and Vainamoinen... I'll just stay wary, no point in chickening out. "Come back here, you!" Kyouka screamed out from behind as we ran for him. He passed through the district ahead of the exit we passed through and blended in with the crowd. "W-why did he go to this place again?" Takeru asked, panting as he ran. Now that I think about it, I gained a lot of buzz in the Blading world because of my victory against that girl back then. Forgot her name, but whatever it is, it's not important to me right now. "This is just a possibility, but he may be looking for a challenge. Specifically from me." Kyouka scoffed, and replied by saying; "So you effectively have a target on your back right now?" Even if I don't like it, that might be the case. We were led to a crossing, where he took a right into a construction site. This guy right here... what was I expecting from him though? "Hey, you're not allowed in here-" A construction worker warned him but the thief jumped on top of his face like a springboard and vaulted over the unfinished wall, knocking the guy out. This didn't hinder me as I climbed over the wall as well, training for my eventual military conscription did help with this. "How did you even get there?!" Takeru looked on, astonished. "No time Takeru, go to the other side. See if you can cut him off." "Aye!" He responded as I jumped off the wall to catch up with him. In a matter of seconds, I was behind him but he dropped a bag of dry cement on me. Luckily, I managed to evade it and only had a bit of dust on my clothes. Normally I'd lose sight of him, but this is a construction site. Everything's open here, and there he was on the stairs going up the second floor. "Move it!" This guy's either crazy or just desperate because he just pushed a worker off the stairs. Didn't catch him but he was okay it seems, and that only hindered him because he was within arm's reach again, allowing me to reach for him. "Nice try, Venni Lehtinen. But now's not the time!" I reached out for him but he grabbed my arm, throwing me down to the ground and then running away. "Ack!" That hurt. "Kusipää..." I muttered under my breath as I regained balance, and then I see him gone from my vision. There's only one way he could've gone; I run straight and jump off the building. I appear to have hit the jackpot because there was a wall next to an alley several meters ahead, allowing me to land on it and catch sight of him, who was just getting off of the dumpster he land on. "Heh, you're even more athletic than I thought." The thief scoffed at me. "I guess this is the part where you ask why I stole from Akio Kanayama's store? Well-" I cut his little monologue off by kneeing him in the gut. "No, this is the part where I get this done with. You've been a headache for me and my friends." Standing up from the pain I inflicted, he laughed a little. "Hehe, you're an interesting guy! This is one of the reasons why I also came here!" Takeru and Kyouka came running for us in an attempt to apprehend him, Takeru was ahead of Kyouka which meant he'd be prone to get hit by the thief, which is exactly what happened. "OW!" He was slapped by the thief, stunning him and letting him pass. That slap would've normally let me loose, but nothing good will come out of me going wild. Not now, not again. Kyouka was clearly angered by this and sent a dropkick to him, following up on what happened. "Eat this!" He, for the umpteenth time, dodged her kick and ran away. I helped Takeru back to his feet and Kyouka got up from the ground, gritting her teeth. We all ran for him leaving the alleyway, and out into the light. Running faster, the thief kept on going until we headed to an abandoned warehouse. He quickly went inside and left the door open, so as to invite us. The three of us stopped at the open door, and contemplated on what to do next; "What's he up to now...?" Kyouka muttered. "Same old, nothing good." "We might be at our final destination though, l-let's end this now." Takeru nervously spoke, and we all nodded our heads. Just in case though, I contact Akio with a little message. "construction site" It's a small message, but I hope it gets through to him. We all go inside and were greeted by empty shelves and him standing in front of a stadium. It was dark inside but there were rays of light that peered inside, gracing his figure. He stood there, something in his hand. Presumably his Beyblade. "Nice of you to come in here, even though I've done a little damage to your friends and other people here." I curled my arms, preparing for a battle. I'm sure the other two behind me are well aware of what this guy is about to do. "I apologize for my actions earlier. Now, where are my manners?" He cleared his throat before speaking slightly louder. "My name is Naizen Mikage, pleasure to meet you." Naizen bowed down and acted elegantly, a stark contrast to his actions earlier. "Quit the act, I'd probably forgive you if you actually paid for the damages you caused earlier." Kyouka put her hands on her hips, greatly irritated by Naizen. "I could if I wanted to, but that's not the case here. I couldn't care less about some random construction site nearby. Let alone you two." Kyouka's eyes flared up and she walked up to him, I stopped her by putting my hand out and blocking her path. She understood the message but Kyouka is of course, still pissed. "The only thing I came for here was to pay an old 'friend' of mine a visit. And you too." Naizen pointed at me, holding his mask. He's an annoyance, but he's got this... presence to him. Akio was right to stay clear of him. "The fame you've garnered recently has brought me to you, Venni Lehtinen. It also looks like you will enroll in Kaiten Highschool, am I right?" He adjusted his tie as he spoke. How does he know about this? I just recently came to Japan. "You're right, looks like you're interested in peeking through people's history," I say as I walked up to the stadium. "Well, I have to know my opponents, don't I?" He turned his hand, revealing his Beyblade. It was a purple Bey that had two blades and was elliptical, so it's presumably a Balance-type or an Attack-type. The latter option seems more likely though. "Ugh, I can see where this is going already." I responded by putting my hand into my pocket. "Good to see that you can read the mood." He set his Bey onto his launcher. The other two behind me took out their Beys and their launchers too, preparing for battle. "We're not letting you slip by like that, Mikage-san." Takeru's tone of voice was a little different than his usual one. There was an awkward silence after he said that though, which was ended by Naizen's loud laugh. "SERIOUSLY MAN?! You literally got stomped by the weakest member of The Center! ILYA MAO! What makes you think you'd be able to hold a candle to me?" He chuckled, bending down. "H-huh?" Takeru gritted his teeth and stepped forward. I stopped him in his path though, nothing's gonna come out of this if we just punch him. I'm not gonna act like we didn't do that earlier though. "Right then, I'll let the extras in the back fight me. So give me e-very-thing you got against me." I let off an exasperated sigh in front of the masked menace, getting into position and loading my Bey onto my launcher. "Mmm-hm! That's what I like." The three other people in this warehouse did the same, gathering around the stadium before the battle started. "Three..." I grip my launcher's string, "Two..." Stand up straight, "One..." Ease my body for a moment... And let it all out. "Go shoot!" Everyone shouted out in unison except for me. Our Beyblades land on the stadium all at the same time, and I can see his Bey in full view. Its blades resemble the head of a snake and slope downward so it's going to be important to try and avoid his attacks. The Driver on it doesn't seem too clear but it seems to be another variation of the Destroy Driver, so I'm expecting it to be really quick going around the banking area while also having some substantial stamina and precession. "Showtime, Nemesis!" His Bey ran across the banking, giving it a huge boost of speed. I cut him off by intercepting his path and blocking him, breaking his speed. We bounced off of each other and that was when Kyouka started her assault, riding the wall with her Bey's ring and kicking it off of the wall to propel itself towards Nemesis. "Not bad for someone from SAGA. So tell me, how was the school after Junko fell off?" He shrugged his shoulders in a taunting manner. "For somebody who's covering his face, you've got one hell of a mouth, eh?" Since Kalliope stuck to Nemesis, it grabbed it with one of its gaps and threw the Bey away to the wall. Tennin also came in and doubled down by trying to press Nemesis against the wall. "This is for earlier!" Tennin hit Nemesis against the wall and Nemesis wobbled as it went back to the stadium. The three other Beys that attacked spread out across the stadium including Vainamoinen, which was on the left from where I was standing. Naizen did come back in a way I didn't expect would happen, he slammed his Bey on the wall three times, turning back with each slam and gradually gaining speed every time it hit the wall. It shot off with a decent amount of speed and ran for Tennin. "Knocking me out? Not on my watch, Quantum Drift!" Tennin altered its trajectory by having its Driver's surface make full contact with the floor, countering Nemesis' attack and leading it back to Kalliope. "Nice pass, Miyazono-kun." Nemesis careened towards Kalliope, and Kalliope responded by tilting and hooking her Bey onto the opposing one, throwing it away to the wall again. "Hah!" Kyouka cried out. "Good move, 6 out of 10." Carrying the momentum from Kalliope throwing him, Nemesis bounced off the wall and scooped up Kalliope's underside, lifting it up into the air and back into Naizen's hand. "Good teamwork from all of you." He clapped his hands, false amusement clear in his tone of voice. He's going to have some sort of trick on his Bey and reveal it, everyone has one these days, for Pete's sake. It's just a matter of what it will be and how he will fight back against us. Following that battle as well, his presence appeared to have intensified tenfold from what it was earlier. Vainamoinen, are you willing to go ahead? "I've faced worse, Venni. Whether you win or lose is a matter of what you do in the fight." Good news to my ears then. I do wonder though, am I just playing along to his tune? Or am I walking my own pace? "You might be, so try your best to break free from that." ... He's probably just led us here to play games with us, so I might just go ahead and leave. "That's your final verdict, huh Venni?" Vainamoinen scoffed at me, I could already visualize her smirking with her eyes closed. But with that said, that all depends on how Jim Carrey right there responds. "Forget this," The other challengers were predictably confused, pissed maybe. Not that I care much. "I'll leave you two to deal with this guy here, I don't care about him at this point." I said, letting out a sigh while everyone was still confused by my sudden departure. "Good luck chaps." Kyouka was seething behind me, and grabbed my shoulder, screaming at me; "Didn't Takeru say we wouldn't let him slip by? What happened to the efforts of Kanayama and Beniko back there, huh?!" Oh, Kyouka, I thought she'd be a bit more clever. Takeru on the other hand understood what I was trying to do. It may be a bit controversial and sudden for my friends over here. But in this scenario, I'd rather be the fisherman with the fishing rod than be the large fish that'd eat up the fisherman. "Hold on, where the HELL do you think you're going?!" Just as I thought, Naizen was even more furious than the mint-haired girl currently getting mad at me, much to her shock. A cheeky reply should work, push some more buttons maybe. "Home, where else?" "Oh no, you're not going anywhere! I had to go through the effort of breaking the hell out of your friend's shop and leaving them in the dust, and I'm greeted by something like this? WHY?!" His eyes were visible from his mask and were bloodshot, I hit the jackpot and struck a nerve. By the way, did he really say all of that out loud? "Mikage, if you were a villain you'd probably be incarcerated 3 minutes after this." A slight chuckle could be heard from Kyouka, her cheeks puffing up quite a bit. "Like I said earlier, quit the act, and let's get this over with. There's no time to be meandering about when you've got a debt to pay." I turned to him, staring at Naizen with a cold stare. "What debt?" He looked genuinely dumbfounded by that question. Either he's insane or very privileged, both of which I don't like. "I only did that to grab your attention, I've got nothing to pay for." He's both then, he's also a twat in every sense of the word. "You might as well pay for that attention you garnered from me. Debts..." I walk up to him and close up on his face, finishing my sentence with the last step I took. "Are never left unpaid." His eyebrows furrowed, and he let off some steam, breathing out. Until he didn't. "DAMN IT!" Much to my surprise, he slammed his face against an empty metal shelf, shattering the left half of his mask. That should've scarred his face under normal circumstances but it was somehow fine. "You okay? I mean, not that you were fine earlier but..." "No, no, NO! This wasn't supposed to happen, what was supposed to happen was for you to fight ME!" He looked at me with the same wide, bloodshot eyes he had earlier. Now it was on full display, at least on his left side only. He got up after doing that to himself and dusted off his clothes. "Fine then, if that's what you want." His expression became more relaxed, yet, sinister. "Just so you know... I'll enjoy the look on your faces I've destroyed you three." His eyes squinted, presumably due to him smiling like a maniac. Now that was settled, I got back into position and loaded Vainamoinen onto my launcher. "I'll be the one who will enjoy something here." I got into my usual stance and prepared. "Peace and quiet, that is." RE: Sisu (A Burst Story) - SpeedySuomi - Jun. 11, 2022 Chapter 13R (Rewritten): I'm Not. Spoiler (Click to View) Beniko's POV, around 9 minutes ago Good god! This mouse-and-cat stuff is really taking its toll on my head, I think I feel what Ven-san would be feeling right now. No matter what though, we'll need to get payback for that guy - he's the one who started this all anyway. Akio and little old me went to where Venni was at earlier, looking for his group. "He isn't- of course, he ain't." Akio clicked his tongue when he interrupted himself. "I ain't waitin' for a message too. Let's get a move on, Haruna-san." Shaking his head, he walked to the left and passed the taxi agency. When he did though, he noticed something right in his pocket. We've got ourselves an update. I was quick to pick up on it, so I looked at his phone when he pulled it out. "Nice! So what'd Ven-san say?" I said. "Hold on, let me just... huh?" Akio had a puzzled expression on his face as he saw what Venni said. "Construction... site? It's just these two words, you know anything about this site thingy?" Tch, hell if I know. But what I do though, is that Venni would do this if he was in a hurry... That time when we rode to the batting center... oh! Venni's POV That last round felt like he was holding back a lot of his strength, he didn't do anything too notable against us. He's still playing games even now, not too optimal if we give him what he wants. "Well? Are you going to go now, are you going to bail out?" Naizen stretched out his arms outward, his only visible eye from the mask displaying malicious intent. I'll have someone drag him out into the spotlight then, though it may seem selfish. "3..." I started counting down, giving everyone a signal to start. "2... 1..." The others followed after, as I tightened my grip. "Go shoot!" We all launched our Beys into the stadium once more, everyone bouncing around upon landing. I recovered from the fall immediately, and let Vainamoinen go full speed for a moment. "I see what you're doing Venni!" His Bey also recovered immediately after around 2 tenths of a second of me dashing toward the outer banking, trying to catch me. I veered right soon after as my opponent was on my tail, letting him crash into Tennin who was trying to take the center. Luckily, Takeru took note of this and did his best to speed up in that range, allowing Nemesis to be knocked back a considerable distance. "Watch where you're going, you insect!" Naizen growled, irritated at his opponent. And Takeru was startled to some extent but was largely left focused on the task. "Watch YOUR mouth, cretin," Kyouka replied by charging into him at full force, but unlike earlier he didn't eat the hit and instead let the plate on his Driver scrape the floor and change his trajectory into Kalliope, knocking it into the wall with almost the same amount of force Kalliope did by charging into him. "Gah! I take that back." The anger she had for him worsened, but Naizen paid it no mind, aiming for me. "You're mine now!" Reaching Vainamoinen, he hit me with great strength and knocked me away a good distance, "What?!" I let that out loud, didn't I? The rubber came into contact with the floor just as I landed and made me crash into the wall at full force. I wasn't expecting my Driver to suddenly make me dash into the wall, damn it. For added measure, Naizen also pushed me against it, forcing me to grind the wall for a while. "You two are next as well!" His metal plate made contact with the floor and let him reach Takeru in the blink of an eye, using Tennin's wings on purpose to kick him off of there and into Kalliope. This destabilized her and broke her balance, wobbling around all over the place. I could hear Kyouka shout out a frustrated "Huh?!" after that hit. "That was quick... wasn't it? I was expecting more from you! Don't give me a sh*tshow here!" This guy's gone mad. And to add on to that he sped up immediately and went bonkers all across the stadium, moving around in a random pattern and bouncing off the wall at times. He made contact with the others from time to time but it was mainly just him going rampant all across. ["That was already a given though..."] I could hear Vainamoinen groaning in pain, but unfortunately now's not the time to take a seat. Still stuck to the wall I was spinning on, I waited for the right time the blade would hook onto the wall at full force, and once it did, that blade was pushed back and revealed the inner layer of the Avalanche Blade. I pushed myself off of the wall, unfortunately, I was greeted by a right hook coming from Nemesis' blade. "MOVE IT!" I was flung across the stadium again but I landed on the ridge of the stadium's walls, luckily my rubber ring landed on it and gave me a boost in speed as I rode along. "What about the other two?! Do something you extras!" Naizen growled out in a fit of rage and meanwhile, Kyouka replied with her own version of that rage by slamming into his underside, tilting down. "Zip it!" Kalliope wasn't doing much in terms of damage, but what she did was hook onto him and extra weight on Nemesis, drastically restricting its movement because Kalliope was fighting against its movement. "Why are you bottomfeeders from SAGA always trying to fight when you know damn well you'd lose?! It's like what you're doing right now! Latching onto me in hopes you'll be able to beat me." SAGA? What's this all about now? I looked to see Kyouka's face if she knew anything about this, and judging by her expression, it must be a very personal thing. "I don't wanna hear your voice again, if I do then I might crush you like you did with Junko." Her tone of voice got considerably deeper saying those words, Naizen knows how to pull people's strings. "So you've all accepted the fact that your group was worthless? You're wiser than I thought, I'll give you that." Naizen said, stroking his chin. "No," Kalliope spun faster under Nemesis, the ring that latching on to his underside staying in place. "I'm just assessing the issue." In a sudden and swift motion, Kalliope pulled Nemesis down and the free-spinning ring holding on to him flung him up a fair distance off of the ground. "Now!" Good work now's the time-! "Hold it together Venni!" Takeru noticed and exclaimed as I went wide for a bit off the edge, inches away from being out of the stadium's walls and onto the floor below. I managed to regain my balance in time and dashed straight for the center with the speed I gained from riding on the ridge, colliding with Nemesis as it closed in on the floor. AVALANCHE BOUND My blades were fully compressed and blasted Nemesis into the wall with a loud sound. I could hear his Bey clicking at least once, a good sign but also a bad one because it might mean his Bey is even more capable of tanking hits such as those. My worries appear to be unwarranted though, the prongs on the disc show that it's two clicks away from Bursting. It has three clicks, but another thing worries me more... Nemesis now has four blades. Four blades? Hold on... the Beyblade's name is Nemesis right? As far as I can recall, when God Beys were the norm there was one Bey that was called Nemesis which bears a striking resemblance to this. "This is our chance, Miyazono-kun!" "Got that, Tennin!" Hold on, this guy has something else in store for us! "Don't attack!" I shouted out to the two as we all were nearing our destination, I won't be able to save both of them so I might as well just take Takeru! Shifting my direction to the left almost immediately, I collided with Tennin and pushed him off while Nemesis crashed against the wall and created a large wave of vibrations on impact, pushing us all off and making a large gust. Since Kalliope was the closest to Nemesis, it pushed it into the wall with the sheer force of the crash alone, killing her Bey's stamina this time "Kalliope!", Kyouka shouted out with her eyes wide open. What on earth does Naizen have up his sleeve now...? "Heh, you were quick to catch on. Venni Lehtinen." As the gust stopped and the dust settled, the wall appeared to be shattered and Naizen remained still on the inner ring of the stadium. "All of you might've shown your tricks; wings that increase focus on the center, a Bey riddled with bearings, and a Defense-type with the capabilities of a Balance-type... so I might as well show mine." His mask fell off, showing the crazed expression that he concealed from the first moment we met. "Go on, wreak havoc!" Naizen circled around the center and picked up speed, reaching the ridge and riding its banking afterward. He then kicked Kalliope out of the stadium to add insult to injury before coming after us. "Split up, Takeru!" I told my cousin, but unfortunately, he already reached us. "I'll save you from the pain of having to do that!" Naizen split us up himself, hooking on to me and throwing me to the side while he pushed Takeru against the wall. "Argh! Tennin, push him away!" The wings on Tennin were released and pushed him away with considerable force, this pushed him close to the center and pushed Tennin off of the wall a couple of centimeters off for good measure. This gave me & Takeru breathing room and allowed us to counter against Nemesis, of course, this wouldn't end all that well. Nemesis circled around the center at a small angle and built up momentum from there, widening his line immediately when he gained enough and pushed me away. "Oblivion Smash!" The attack wasn't directed to me but towards Takeru, the menacing purple aura surrounding his Bey as he smote his opponent. So now I'm up on the chopping block. "It's just you and me now, let's dance... one last time!" Hopefully that 'dance' ends immediately. I prepared my attack and turned to run for Nemesis, and he followed suit. We both met up at the center, but I evaded him to do another turn. We both met at the center again and I evaded, I could clearly see his expression slowly getting more annoyed. Nemesis and Vainamoinen did this movement several more times, circulating in a full flower pattern which gave me more than enough momentum. The way he turned wasn't a problem too because his Driver was made of reinforced metal, so there was less traction than that of my rubber ring. But of course, we had to end it at some point, and that'd be when he loses it. "When I said dance, I didn't mean it like this. I meant it like THIS!" He did one more turn at full speed and we both collided. As I expected, his blades in this mode pack a serious punch, but Vainamoinen wasn't made to be flimsy, it was made to eat hits such as this. I don't care whether I won't be able to Burst him or not, no. It's a prelude to the main event. We exchanged punches two more times and slipped past him and hit back again, pushing his Bey near the wall where he was vulnerable. He'd counter by latching on to my Bey and throwing me away, so I veer off the left a few millimeters and picked a nice angle to ricochet and strike him. A cue ball and an 8. "You..." He grinned widely as I blasted his Bey back to the center by bouncing off of the wall. I arrived in the center just as he landed, perfect timing because by that time he hadn't regained his balance yet. I let out a barrage of attacks in the form of a rapid flower pattern, pinning him there. I ended my barrage by turning slightly left behind him and doing a flick to go back to his Beyblade. I sent out one last attack with a smaller version of Avalanche Bound. I've done what I could... now to wait. "Even with a small bag of tricks, you sure as hell use them to their fullest! I commend you!" Here it comes... he grinded to a halt and flicked back to me, firing an incredibly strong strike with just one hit. "Oblivion Destroy!" One issue was that I was a small distance away from the ground, so another hit was incoming. "ONE!" Vainamoinen was slammed towards the wall, and Nemesis came for me again. He sent an extra hit to me, leaving me there for dead. Get ready for this, Vainamoinen. ["Not like I haven't suffered constant abuse like this..."] Her voice was surprisingly calm, for someone who was about to be assaulted. Nemesis sent his second hit, and a third one, and a fourth, and fifth, and a sixth... He's pinned me to this wall and attacking with a portion of that strike he hit us with earlier. This... this is concerning. But he'll come, I know. Any minute now... he should arrive... don't give up on me now, Vainamoinen! ... The sound of Naizen laughing filled the room combined with the metallic noises of our weapons. While I wait anxiously for one person who may be able to end this all. ... It continued on for what seemed like an eternity, until... "There ya' are!" The sound of a door slamming open overlapped with the noises that dominated the room and a string being pulled from that door, it was the face of a man who was filled with anger. But his large smile contrasted with those emotions of his. "I'll beat the livin' hell out of that guy!" I'm relieved Akio is here, but I can't comprehend how this man can smile in the face of adversity.
