RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada, international launch 2017 - Bey Brad - Sep. 15, 2016 (Sep. 15, 2016 3:11 PM)UGottaCetus Wrote: So I heard these Beys have no teeth? How will that even work? Do they burst easily? How is their burstability compared to TT ones? We are working on tests as a team, but I would say that they generally burst about as often, with some very easy to burst parts from Japan getting much stronger resistance (Roktavor, Roktavor R2, Spryzen S2). There has been lots of info posted, check here: https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Hasbro-s-Beyblade-Burst-Energy-Layers-have-no-teeth-bursting-is-rare-UPDATED The "bursting is rare" seems to be due to the fact that the launchers are worse than the Japanese Proto Launcher. RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada, international launch 2017 - TL14 - Sep. 15, 2016 I think I know why Valkyrie and Spriggan were renamed Valtryek and Spryzen. "tryek" and "spryzen" sound extremely similar to the German words "Dreieck" (which means "triangle" in English) and "spreizen" (which means "to spread" in English). That would make sense because Valtryek has a triangle-like shape and Spryzen was the first Burst Bey with a Spread Forge Disk. It's possible, but it seems more likely to me that they just used robotic/digital-sounding syllables for all the names. RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada, international launch 2017 - UGottaCetus - Sep. 15, 2016 Ok. My next question is, are any of these Hasbro parts illegal? Are they going to be? RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada, international launch 2017 - TL14 - Sep. 15, 2016 I have another theory. Odin was maybe renamed Odax because of the German word "Axt". Odin was the main god of the vikings and the main weapon of the vikings was the axe which translates to "Axt" in German. Maybe they renamed Wyvern Wyvron because it´s a Wyvern and it´s defense is as solid as iron. It´s possible that they renamed Neptune Nepstrius because of Neptune's trident and Neptune was a roman god and the language of the romans was latin and one latin ending for a word is -us. RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada, international launch 2017 - Dracomageat - Sep. 15, 2016 Why bring in german? "Ax" is the american for axe and, by using that, you don't have to work out where the T went. RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada, international launch 2017 - Dracomageat - Sep. 16, 2016 Depends on your region. It's "axe" in english english and "ax" in american. RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada, international launch 2017 - Jimmyjazz39 - Sep. 16, 2016 tha guy has no idea what he's talking about. it's axe in english RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada, international launch 2017 - Cake - Sep. 16, 2016 (Sep. 16, 2016 1:53 AM)Jimmyjazz39 Wrote: tha guy has no idea what he's talking about. it's axe in english It is either "ax" or "axe". Both are perfectly acceptable. http://www.dictionary.com/browse/axe?s=t RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada, international launch 2017 - boltoms - Sep. 16, 2016 The Beyblades are up on the Toys R Us Canada website. I tried to ship them internationally and they won't allow it ![]() Plus, is that white Amaterios real on Enderbladers profile? It obviously looks Photoshopped. (you can see the difference) RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada, international launch 2017 - Kai-V - Sep. 16, 2016 (Sep. 16, 2016 4:22 AM)boltoms Wrote: The Beyblades are up on the Toys R Us Canada website. I tried to ship them internationally and they won't allow it The news about the stock on toysrus.ca has already been posted and we know that they only ship in Canada. And yes, it is called Amaterios Platina Ver. You can see more about it either in the amaterios topic or in the Beyblade Burst Nintendo 3DS video game topic located in the Video Games forum. Are they going to be? They are currently illegal, as is outlined here: https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Provisional-Ruling-Clarification-Legality-of-Hasbro-Beyblade-Burst-Parts They won't remain that way for long, however. Like Brad said, as a team we are working on tests to determine how to best fit them in to WBO Organized Play. Expect an update clarifying the extent of their legality very soon. There are now two more photos for the Epic Rivals Battle Set. Also I just noticed that they renamed Kaiser Kerbeus to King Kerbeus additionally to Rising Ragnaruk becoming Raging Roktavor. RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada, international launch 2017 - Kai-V - Sep. 17, 2016 Just two weeks later... So weird. RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada, international launch 2017 - Kai-V - Sep. 17, 2016 Perhaps they were too afraid to face the feedback on those name changes... There is seriously no worse way to treat customization than by making nonsense names. If we had started with that and had never known TAKARA-TOMY's names for Discs and Drivers, we would have had to post photographs of the combinations everytime we wanted to refer to them, which is entirely impractical even outside message boards. |
