Probably it just doesn't make sense for them to ship to America when there's a US Toys R Us site.

TAKARA-TOMY Disk/Driver names haven't been mentioned anywhere until now, I think? It's the same for all of the product pages. Also, "Acceleration" is probably an auto-correct mistake, I would bet.

Well the packaging was slightly changed during Beyblade: Metal Fusion too, between Canada and the United States, but there is still no sensible reason to introduce parts as super generic names at first only to reintroduce them with their proper names months later.

Only as an opinion; I stated that I'm seeing this "soft launch" as a test bench for these part renames to see whether they actually work out. Especially given that the anime outright states different names for every part as well; no codes, proper dual layer names etc.
But it really is just an opinion, haha.

I was thinking why in the packages the layers have a symbol on the center, where should be transparent in order to see the driver, and the actual energy layers there's no symbol? It's just a blank space... o.õ

^@[BeyGa] Yeah, I wondered about that too. Shame since the emblems look pretty cool, I wonder what happened there.
Just realized the actual reason why Hasbro likely didn't use the part names: localization. Having to translate that name on every package would be a huge mess (each Hasbro Beyblade box has like four or five languages on it). This was a huge factor in why we used similar names for Battle Strikers.

Except that they keep the English names in the French version of Toys "R" Us.ca :

Different laws for printing on packaging. Would be cool if they could sort it out though.
At least we can still use the real part names in some capacity ...

I'm honestly relieved to know that the original names are present, in a way, in Hasbro products.
Also about the translation, I really liked that they included Portuguese in everything! And it's well translated as well. I think the parts names wouldn't be a problem in English, since they're easy and simple. Also Portuguese accept many English words.

Many countries have laws about translating languages on packages, and they can be pretty labyrinthian especially if you are releasing a product with the same package in many different countries.

Codes instead of names felt like a poor choice in Strikers as it made the parts difficult to remember. It feels just as bad here.

Ah, that's interesting. But if that's the case, if they are going to use them now on the Toys R Us website, why weren't they at least written (in different languages if that's what's needed) on the instructions that come with each Beyblade? ... I guess so that they could use the same generic instructions for every release lol.

Ahh, this is such an interesting perspective! I was perplexed about their choice, but never really considered this difficulty since I've never worked in toy distribution.

Maybe a World Championship might happen next year and I don't have plastics so I just stick to MFB, Zero G and burst.
