What were the results? It was in this link, but unfortunately the results are no longer visible but IIRC (and they didn't actually rank anything, I'm just basing this on the amount of votes they got), Shu predictably won by a landslide with the only one stacking over 2k votes. Free was almost there with a close 2nd, whilst Valt was 3rd but the amount of votes he got were dead close to Free's. The rest will be in this spoiler, as it's a bit long and I'm worried about annoying people by constantly talking about wanting Wyvern and Deathscyther to make a return. Spoiler (Click to View) Shu was the only character to surpass 2k votes, whilst Free, Valt, Wakiya, Aiga and Daina were the only ones to surpass 1k votes! I think Arthur had the lowest amount of votes, with Lodin and Ranjiro having the 2nd and 3rd lowest respectively. RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - JavariTheChamp - Apr. 17, 2020 So I read the manga chapter for myself, and it seems as I’m the series, Hikaru is the dominant twin in Super King. I hope Hyuga gets time to shine too (Apr. 17, 2020 5:27 PM)JavariTheChamp Wrote: So I read the manga chapter for myself, and it seems as I’m the series, Hikaru is the stronger one by far. But it seems to me Hyuga is more of a main character imo. I just hope hyuga gets time to shine, because he is being outshadowed in strength to Hikaru RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - Zeutron - Apr. 17, 2020 (Apr. 17, 2020 5:27 PM)JavariTheChamp Wrote: So I read the manga chapter for myself, and it seems as I’m the series, Hikaru is the dominant twin in Super King. The elder brother is initially stronger but towards the end of the series the younger one surpasses them. RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - BlackHazard - Apr. 17, 2020 Yeah I'm guessing once Hyuga learns the Sparking Shoot they'll basically be neck and neck. Only reason Hikaru is stronger for the time being is that he is a LOT more strategic as a blader while Hyuge is more like "IKE IKE IKE" all the time lol. Hyuga is just likes winning with brute strength and not strategy (Apr. 17, 2020 9:04 PM)BlackHazard Wrote: Yeah I'm guessing once Hyuga learns the Sparking Shoot they'll basically be neck and neck. Hyuga is just likes winning with brute strength and not strategy Point is that I'm guessing once they both have the Sparking Shoot then I'm guessing they'll write it kind of like they have what eachother is missing. Hikaru has the strategy but not the strength while Hyuga has the strength but not the strategy. RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - JavariTheChamp - Apr. 18, 2020 To fix that, hyuga could possibly seek a master student relationship with a legend blader. Just how I think Hikaru might. I’m guessing possibly free would seek a student master relationship with Hikaru, as they both have left spin blades, and free could teach hikaru the way of to use the left spin to the advantage.(maybe Lui but I don’t think Lui would find anybody worthy enough to be his understudy) and I feel like hyuga will possibly have a student teacher relationship with valt and train under him. Imagine valt teaches hyuga the jet shoot. Plus, they are already training under rantaro and ranjiro. And rantaro is a legend blader. RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - Needforspeed - Apr. 20, 2020 I think time and time beyblade has turn into jjba every season new main character RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - JavariTheChamp - Apr. 20, 2020 (Apr. 20, 2020 2:47 AM)Needforspeed Wrote: I think time and time beyblade has turn into jjba every season new main character Would’ve been way better if they had given valt a third season or Aiga a second season. I wouldn’t mind if Aiga from GT was the protagonist. RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - BlackHazard - Apr. 20, 2020 Yeah, to me it kind of feels like a slap in the face to see Valt struggle for 2 seasons in his battle for the top of the world. Then Aiga and Drum get there in half a season. And it seems the same will be true for Hikaru and Hyuga RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - LOL-y Rancher - Apr. 20, 2020 (Apr. 20, 2020 6:29 PM)Isaiah.burley Wrote:(Apr. 20, 2020 5:27 PM)JavariTheChamp Wrote: Would’ve been way better if they had given valt a third season or Aiga a second season. Aiga is just an annoying little kid with a little bit of anger issues. I disagree personally, but that's just my opinion. Whilst Drum is okay, I feel like he lacks so much compared to Aiga who had more struggles and development whilst Drum never stood out for me. Aiga was the first protagonist who wasn't pure good and was able to be corrupted by the dark side, the interesting part is to see which side Aiga leans towards and how he copes with it. Don't get me wrong, Drum is likeable enough as he is and does develop his skills, but he kind of blends in for me. Yeah, there is that criticism that some people find Aiga annoying, bratty and unlikeable (especially coming after the friendliest Beyblade protagonist, Valt) but I like the set up of him being a brat at first, as it gives him room to develop. And unlike Tyson from V-Force, who honestly really sucked in that season for me, Aiga's bratty attitude felt more natural and it grows more and more as his darkness overtakes him but once his Z Achilles gets destroyed, it actually hit Aiga hard and since then, Aiga (whilst still cocky) became a much more humble and nicer blader as he realised his carelessness and mistakes lead to consequences. At least it's not like Tyson from V-Force where he keeps getting reminded to stop being a bratty jerk to his friends and he goes "okay, I've learnt my lesson" but then just repeats that same problem over and over again (it also led to the worst Beyblade episode ever, so I hate it more). RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - Valtryek Aoi - Apr. 21, 2020 Aiga should have gotten a second season after he loses to Valt at the end of Cho Z. If that happened Drum could have become an important side character. RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - KnightPro - Apr. 21, 2020 Drum didn't feel like a main character at all RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - Limetka - Apr. 21, 2020 Aiga is unironically the best protagonist Beyblade as a franchise ever had. RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - Needforspeed - Apr. 21, 2020 Valt fell the most main character because he has a character traits defining Aiga and drum and the most character development I think what they should have done for drum or aiga is to make the character to not follow the same path as valt did or defining the main character just like in jjba like giorno and josuke them both has different goals and characteristics but a same attention like being good. i just hope SK give us something new unlike gt an Cho z where the first ark is the same just to note here i am not being salty cuz it all already finished anyway except for SK RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - JavariTheChamp - Apr. 21, 2020 Yeah, they never had to go through the struggles valt did. Training day and night to master a launch. I remember around episode 5 of season 1, my guy valt was trying to do 1000 launches to perfect the rush launch. And then also losing to his rival in the district tournament. Then having a team tournament, losing to the best blader in Japan. Then having to bounce back having character development. Does so well, but let’s it get the best of him, where he loses to lui by a stadium crack. Personally I don’t mind valt aoi lost, as its setting him up for room to grow as a blader. And In the god series he has to learn how to master his reboot, and bring back his best friend who is having eternal conflict with Spriggan, and goes to the path of vengeance. Trying to fight to get shu back before it’s too late. And ultimately In the end, saving his best friend and becoming champion. Doesn’t that whole character plot seem more heroic and has more value. Than a story with some kid who lives on a farm, almost beating valt aoi, the old main character we seen grow up and mature a bit, and then start going in a massacre beating everybody. And beating lui, which then means Aiga surpassed valt when valt fought lui. Then turning to the dark side because he had a bad Beyblade rennosaunce. Destroys Valkyrie, and gets karmad by phi. Then beats valt aoi in the final battle. He seems like a goodie too shoes. Too broken, too op, too fast. He didn’t have the struggles like valt did. Did he have some struggles? Yes, not to the level of valt. You don’t see Aiga training day in day out to master a launch he can’t get right, or having a devastating loss rather than a broken blade. And drum has no heroic qualities at all as a main character. He doesn’t even have a struggle rather than beating the HELL organization. And learning new layer bases and the electric driver. No major conflict for drum rather than that. That’s why I completely despise and new main characters for Beyblade. Aiga and Drum has some respect from me because they aren’t bad people. Just bad for the mc role. And hyuga and Asahi feel good so far, but my only complaint is them beating rantaro so fast. As these guys are rookies, and rantaro is supposed to be TOP 3 In the WBBA! RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - HakaishinLDrago - Apr. 21, 2020 they’re showing that beyblade is for everyone that’s why we get new main characters RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - BlackHazard - Apr. 23, 2020 I mean for Valt had to constantly loose to Lui over and over and over again then to meet him in the national finale and loose because of a tiny error made Aiga beating him after only 2 failed team battles just felt bad idk. It took Valt 2 seasons to become world champion and only took Aiga half a season(basically going to school and riding a boat) to become champion. Then loosing to Hearts only to take the other half of the same season to become champion again. RE: Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga - GrepherDK - Apr. 23, 2020 (Apr. 23, 2020 5:00 PM)BlackHazard Wrote: I mean for Valt had to constantly loose to Lui over and over and over again then to meet him in the national finale and loose because of a tiny error made Aiga beating him after only 2 failed team battles just felt bad idk. I mean, I feel context matters in that explanation: Valt: was extremely reliant on other people for the sake of his personal growth and had very little motivation to improve for his own sake. Almost all of his personal development was spurred by lagging behind his friends, so it makes sense that he would lose to Lui for longer, someone who was self motivated to an excessive degree (though I'd also couple that with my sneaking suspicion that Lui acheived resonance much sooner than most of the blading cast, outside of Free and Shu/Valt towards the end of Burst god, really no other examples that early on in the series). Aiger: from the very beginning was pushing himself as hard as he could to feel worthy of Achilles, he pretty much battled the strongest competition nonstop (Valt however was content for a long time simply battling his friends, so the prospect of growth was much more limited). Also, if you notice throughout the series, balance type users seem to progress much quicker than other blading styles, however, they're also prone to stopgaps on their quest for improvement [Aiger/Hyde corrupted resonance, and Shu becoming Red-Eye). This is kind of similar to how nen users in HunterxHunter have proclivities based on nen type, the same could be said with bladers in the series. Most of the beyblade cast go through personal roadblock they have to overcome, flaws in their play from the jump that they're almost always contending with. Valts flaw early on in the series is that he couldn't separate having fun with his friends and showing the opponent the best possible you. Aigers personal roadblock is overcoming his lack of confidence that he's worthy of Achilies, coupled with his proclivity to go for the fastest rout to power (a habit something a lot of balance users have). Valts story isn't the story of the underdog that finally made it, it's the story of teaching someone to appreciate competition and value bonds at the same time. Aigers story is teaching someone who's naturally gifted that talent only gets you so far and that bonds get you through hardship.
