RE: METAL FIGHT BEYBLADE: It's here! - Guardian Odin - Sep. 01, 2008 As for the combination count, you guys should count the 090 Track and the Wide Flat Bottom. Beginning the last performance test. When the tests are complete, I will provide a data report. Say you have 4 different wheels, 3 different tracks, and 4 different bottoms. Total number of combinations is 4x3x4 = 48. Duh, that makes sense. I forgot! xD RE: METAL FIGHT BEYBLADE: It's here! - Bey Brad - Sep. 02, 2008 More information on Wolf: The tip is a plastic Ball shape. The track, S125, is a 125 track with a large ring around it. The official description reads, "The big wheel that's positioned on the exterior produces a centrifugal force, and causes endurance to increase." RE: METAL FIGHT BEYBLADE: It's here! - May The Pirate - Sep. 02, 2008 I'm still debating on order. Since judging by people's testing, they don't sem as good or better than HMS's like Wolborg MS, and I think it was Brad or Anubis that tested out one of them with an MSUV and the MFBs failed. RE: METAL FIGHT BEYBLADE: It's here! - Spinster - Sep. 02, 2008 It's not terrifically surprising that current model MFB lost to a DGMSUV... Grip Flat Ultimate Mode is a brutal piece (still need to get my hands on one). Personally, I don't like setting the performance bar at WBMS, as that one was so obscenely overpowered straight out of the box. As it stands right now, yes, HMS as a set are superior. Far more customization capabilities, a very diverse range of parts, many of which are very advanced in design. However, I feel it is unfair to judge the entire set of MFB as a failure based upon the initial releases. Remember, this is an entirely new design, put out by a company that's gone through a lot of changes since Beyblades were last made. Hell, the Tomy name is FAR more prominent on these parts than the Takara name. Give 'em more time. We're already seeing a part with a unique gimmick in Wolf, coming out later this month. I strongly suspect we'll be seeing a lot of variations on the Track and Bottom in later releases. RE: METAL FIGHT BEYBLADE: It's here! - May The Pirate - Sep. 02, 2008 Wolf and Pegasis sound the most fun. Quetzlcoatl (sp?) looks really nice, but boy is it expensive. And I know MFB is a different division, but it just doesn't impress me that HMS still seems a bit superior, taking into consideration that MSUV is utter carp uncustomized because of the AR being a pain in the neck RE: METAL FIGHT BEYBLADE: It's here! - Sasch - Sep. 02, 2008 (Sep. 02, 2008 7:23 AM)Bey Brad Wrote: More information on Wolf: Did you just read this or are there any pictures? This makes me mad. This implies that Wolf will be an endurance type, which I really hope it isn't. Since when are wolves the symbol of endurance? Although it could still be a balance type, since it has the plastic Ball Bottom. RE: METAL FIGHT BEYBLADE: It's here! - Bey Brad - Sep. 02, 2008 I dunno, wolves always seemed pretty enduring to me. I don't know anything about D125, Kai-V. If Wolf is a Stamina type, it'll be a total rehash of a past Beyblade. Partial rehashes are okay, but total rehashes of a Beyblade is annoying...unless it was an intentional rehash like an MFB-style Dragoon. In this case, it feels like they're trying to mimic Wolborg's (MS) success. Although the ball tip implies it to not be a total stamina type... Either way, I look forward to Wolf (especially the S125 Track), despite me not liking the concept it has. RE: METAL FIGHT BEYBLADE: It's here! - Nic - Sep. 03, 2008 I'm guessing Wolf is actually a defence type. It smells like a new Draciel to me, with a ball type tip and a momentum system. They couldn't possibly put in metal balls into such a small core and have the same effect, so it's replaced by a ring. RE: METAL FIGHT BEYBLADE: It's here! - Rögnvaldur - Sep. 03, 2008 Considering the name of Wolf i would think it would be an attack type ![]() ![]() RE: METAL FIGHT BEYBLADE: It's here! - Train - Sep. 03, 2008 (Sep. 03, 2008 1:58 PM)Nic Wrote: I'm guessing Wolf is actually a defence type. To me it sounds like they blended Rock Bison with Draciel. THAT or they're attempting to re-do what they did with Wolborg 4 with a ring instead of virutally the entire BB spinning. I am sure this will be done. They could easily just put a weight on the inside of the track, or even make the track metal. RE: METAL FIGHT BEYBLADE: It's here! - Spinster - Sep. 05, 2008 A fully metal track might actually weaken the overall structure of the thing, considering how the parts lock together... I could see it stripping the thread on the Face. RE: METAL FIGHT BEYBLADE: It's here! - Elmo - Sep. 05, 2008 Metal face then? I'm not sure how the MFB is constructed so I don't know if this would work.. |
