RE: Beyblade Burst worldwide release topic (Hasbro) North America-2016! - Kai-V - May. 13, 2016

It will probably not be Hasbro, but TAKARA-TOMY is planning to develop Beyblade Burst in the rest of Asia in mid-2016.

Good news to hear. Wonder if it will be around Q4, or earlier?

Guess I'm gonna have to brush up and learn what I've been missing out on. I've tried a couple times but just stopped.

Anyways, I'm pretty excited!

Considering I just picked up some Japanese sets, this really gets me pumped!

RE: Beyblade Burst worldwide release topic (Hasbro) North America-2016! - ForZ - Jun. 01, 2016

Yeah, this is going to be cool. And cheaper.

I really hope they release the pre-dual layer burst beys. I'm missing like, every single one of them. Not to mention that 3 beys is about $80 to my apartment...

More or less interesting, but Sunrights has announced this month which company will broadcast the Beyblade Burst anime in central and eastern Europe and Russia (INK ALC) as well as adding Televix for the Latin America broadcast. Apparently this is really going to launch mostly everywhere at once.

RE: Beyblade Burst worldwide release topic (Hasbro) North America-2016! - PidgeotWiz - Jun. 01, 2016

Kinda reminds me of the whole Pokemon XY release haha, hopefully this can go as smooth as that so more world rankings can be done and connected and we can actually get a World Release with tourneys and the like.

Do we know when yet then? Knowing the anime release date would give an very good idea of when we'll see the beys in europe because, due to certain laws surrounding the distinction between tv shows and adverts, the show will always start airing first but never by much because they still want the merchandise out there.

Ooh, the logo for Hasbro looks quite nice! Aside from that, I can't wait to see the growth of Burst throughout the US. I really hope it reignites Beyblade again. ;-;

So wait, if Beyloggers will be available, wouldn't that mean official tournaments will happen in the US just like Japan? I will cry of happiness in a corner if that happens. There's lack of official Beyblade tournaments possibly hosted by Hasbro or whatnot and it'll be great to see development and such.

We'll likely see a few Toys R Us tournaments again once Burst launches, but I honestly doubt that they'll do large-scale events to the extent that Japan does, or that they'll be ranked on the site. The size of the US & the fact that serious players are more spread out definitely presents some challenges. I do think they'll keep the Beylogger software & website, but it will be interesting to see how much they change the interface to fit Western audiences.

You're right. Toy R Us tournaments might be a possibility. Well, the last time when they did annouce a large scale tournament was the 2012 Beyblade World Championship if I'm not wrong. And very true. I would like to see what they will plan to do, with so many competitive Bladers out there.
I agree. I just hope they'll release a English version of the Beyblade Burst app.

We don't know anything at this point, about BeyLoggers or official tournaments.

That's true. There just might be a possibility.

All press releases keep mentioning that the new toys will have a digital feature to fully immerse the player into the game. It is very vague, but for certain we are not just getting the usual non-digital package for Beyblades like before.

As long as they officially annouce it, we then can be sure of it. And of course, I agree.

RE: Beyblade Burst worldwide release topic (Hasbro) North America-2016! - ForZ - Jun. 03, 2016

The real question is: will my Beylogger work with the English site if it does come over here? I'm okay with buying a new one, but I don't want to lose my 8600 beypoints ;_;

I would guess not a chance, but we'll see. I do feel like TT pushed a sort of worldwide angle when initially discussing these features.

I'm glad they've mentioned that at least. It would be a poor move not to include a digital component, especially one that provides an incentive for players to continue making purchases to wrack up Beypoints and grow their collection on the site. My guess is that if they keep the beypoint feature, they'll nix the "rare bey get battle" and replace it with some form of exclusive digital content out of practicality.

I agree with what Brad said. Since TT made the feature worldwide, it could work with the English site. After all, it's not impossible.

Not only did TAKARA-TOMY not block the BeyCloud to worldwide users, but their initial press release for Beyblade Burst definitely mentioned that players would get identified by country in the rankings and they showed examples such as the United States, China, etc.

Well, that actually offers a little bit of hope for me...

I remember this too. Plus, Burst is the second product series released under the supervision of HG Meij (after Pokemon) whose whole deal at Takara Tomy is "digital integration" and simultaneous world-wide product releases. Figures it will all be linked online.

I hope they don't do what some companies do and change the molds slightly so they're not compatible with the Japanese products.

Hasbro has never done this so I don't see why they'd start now. There's no real benefit.

Then I hope they change the teeth and maybe alter colors of drivers and stuff.... Although in my case... Importing them from America would be a nightmare... Actually, I hope they change nothing...
