DEAR LORD, I'LL NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT BURST LACKING TENSION EVER AGAIN!!! IS THIS SUPPOSE TO BE THE LIGHTHEARTED BEYBLADE BURST GOD?!!! xD
This episode... was fantastic. It's probably the one of, if not the best episode of the whole Beyblade Burst franchise. The battle between Lui and Red Eye was good and so was the battle between Lui and Valt. The reveal was lame but that's not the selling point of the episode.
The selling point is definitely Shu's flashback and his current psyche. He's become determined and ultimately insane now because he's no longer the mature, friendly, understanding and intelligent guy that he used to be. He's now this angry, hate-filled semi-villain and I absolutely love it. Whatever Lui, Free and Snake Pit did to him was pretty scary but in a good way and the trippy animations and imagery, whilst odd was a really nice touch. I liked seeing Shu evolve from a child prodigy that inspired a lot of bladers to this...
This is also the darkest Beyblade Burst has ever gone, but luckily it's done right.
One thing though... that Longinus getting cut in half is terrifying xD
Fantastic episode, a must watch for Burst fans. Shu is just one of the best characters in the series.

Uh... wow... um... let s begin the review
Holy jeezus... this is now at a point where everything just stopped giving a damn, to the point where we just have to shut up, sit back and just enjoy the insanity that was this episode.
Dear god this episode was so trippy! It is INSANE! Let's get the normal stuff out the way first.
So the Lui vs Red Eye battle was pretty cool, it was fun and epic and feels a lot like the manga battle, minus Spriggan breaking. Then Red Eye was revealed to be Shu (No duh... honestly, if you were surprised, how?), and Valt has a rather understandable reaction, I did expect Valt to react badly to it, but you can see he was confused and probably tried to ignore Shu lying to his friends and tried to friend him, which She seems to reject. Valt vs Lui fight and Lui wins of course in a spectacular finish, leaving Valt really bummed out.
Now... at this point, all we see left is She and his flashbacks, which are nothing short of just complete craziness. If the final part of the episode was a person, they'd need to be restrained in a straightjacket. Well, first of, Shu reminiscent about the times he lost, which included Free (and TBH I expected She to actually beat him, maybe with sR who knows). Then She has really angry fantasies in a similar fashion to Tsubusa, where the opponent is big and is taunting him and She screams and gets pissed off. The colors are so bright and vibrant and all over your face, and that red reflected water he's in is really colourful and almost lava like. Shu meets the masked leader and throws his lS out of anger, bursting it, though I expected it to break lol, considering he smashed it against some rocks.
When the masked leader invites Shu back to this really unrealistic lab (Yeah don't question it, Burst has already switched the direction so radically as it is) with lights and generators which look like they belong in HD Academy or BioVolt,. Shu is in some glass tube attached with some wires and then I guess imagines his perfect beyblade, something which can conquer Longinus and Fafnir in some weird typical fighting monster anime sort of way where he uses a giant axe to slay both the beasts. Then... they show him this giant mirror thing, which shows an even more insane Shu and a Spriggan beast that um... talks... (BSB ep 51 flashbacks anyone). They both metaphorically merge and Shu screams loudly with this weird and kinda creepy squiggly silhouette, it's like Tala's special move pose in G-Rev, only really creepy.
Now that is all and said and done, I thought this episode was HIGHLY entertaining, it is pure insanity and it's just a joy ride, this is also the darkest I've seen a Burst episode so far and I think it's done quite well. It's one of my favorite episodes in the entire Burst franchise, possibly even topping the previous episode... however I don't know if I can recommend this to all Burst fans, the reason being is that Burst was primarily known for being a down to earth and more realistic series, which for the most part this is FAR FAR from. However, if you're willing to ignore that and shut your brain off to enjoy the craziness of this episode, or love the God series regardless, then yeah this episode will be awesome for you! I know it was for me, and I didn't even like the Red Eye arc before.
As for the trailer, HELL YES FREE VS LUI THIS WILL BE AWESOME! Free looks a bit shocked and concerned so hopefully it'll be close! I can see either Lui wins or there is no winner.

I've watched mine on miomio and since I know that no one really likes the website, I've just left it out.
The animation was so trippy, yet amazing and interesting to watch. I think this episode should've been called "Shu's Psyche" because that right there was the selling point haha.

I feel like with all the set-up Spriggan Requiem is getting, there's like no way Valt doesn't beat him somewhere along the line.

Loved this episode, I also thought it was funny that I called a certain match up/battle on my channel before Shu became Red eye, I won't spoil it though, animation was top notch, the battles were pretty sweet and I like how the ending had a sort of freaky tone.

This was so metal (pun intended). Seriously I'm speechless. I loved Shu's mind going crazy, though I wanted Valt and Valkyrie to be the third one Shu crushes with the axe, as a symbol that their friendship is over. Seriously I have no idea what are they going to do with Shu in the third series if he's acting like this :P

Valt: How could you tease Shu like that?
Lui: Tease? Well, Shu worked so hard that even hide himself with that mask. What a lovely boy.
Valt: What do you mean?
Lui: You would never understand his feeling.
Valt: I am the one who understand Shu the most!
Me: Are you guys really battling beyblade instead of vying for the love of Shu?????
