They can't sue, it's not called Beyblade or Top Blade.
It's a completely different series and toy. It's like having them sue over Battle Strikers, or Actvision suing over Disney Infinity.

SonoKong is also TAKARA-TOMY's partner. They probably even talked to TAKARA-TOMY about Top Plate before launching it.

The fact that there is a mechanism for interacting with your top mid-battle (the "boost" or whatever it's called) is fantastic; it adds an entirely new, skill-intensive dimension to a battle on top of customization and launch technique, which is awesome
That said, I'm not sure I'm sold on these yet, but color me intrigued.
