Kyouka: A couple of people, you say?

Beniko: ...Yeah, I don't really know. Maybe.

Beniko looked up to the sky and got a little bit panicked.

Beniko: Can we just take this to another place? It's really pouring down here!

Beniko covered her head as she ran away, while Kyouka followed suit.

Beniko, you better find some shade quickly and wipe me off clean. The Bey's gonna corrode if you don't.

Well... I'm trying, alright?! We're going home right now.

Later on, the pair arrive at Beniko's house, immediately stepping in to dry themselves.

Yuka: My goodness, where were you? I was looking for you!

Beniko: Just settled a score with a friend of mine.

Yuka carried two towels in her hands and gave them to the two, allowing them to clean themselves.

Yuka: Take a bath too, you'll get a cold if you don't.

Kyouka: You don't need to remind me, Mrs. Haruna.

Beniko lifted her fist into the air with a smile on her face.

Beniko: Mhm! We're on it!

She then ran for the bath as quickly, so as to not get a cold. Kyouka walked behind calmly, stretching her body as she walked.

Beniko: Right!

Beniko took off her clothes and jumped in the bath, splashing some water out of the tub.

Ah... the water feels really nice! I could get used to this all day!

Kyouka walked in ready to take a bath as well, then stepped into the tub.

Kyouka: It feels nice here...

Beniko: Yeah!

Kyouka's body relaxed, and then looked at Beniko's smiling face.

Kyouka: Hey, you know what?

Beniko: Hm?

Kyouka: I guess you weren't that mediocre at all.

Beniko stared at her, her eyebrows furrowing.

The audacity of this girl... I guess that's how she is.

Beniko: Maybe you shouldn't have underestimated me in the first place!

Kyouka: I'm sorry then, that was just in the heat of battle.

Raindrops pattered on the roof but were slightly muffled, and the fact that they were in a hot tub made it more relaxing.

Kyouka: However, my loss just gives me more reason to defeat you. 

Kyouka looked at her with a smile, this smile didn't have any malicious intent, unlike her old self.

Kyouka: My rival.

...

Rival, huh? Sounds interesting.

Beniko: Well then, you're my first rival now, Kyouka! Nice to meet you!

They smiled at each other.

[Venni's Perspective]

Earlier, a little while after leaving Beniko.

Make me love Blading once more... you've got to have some crazy schemes to make that happen, Beniko.

Hey, Venni!

Who's that?

Who's that? It's me! 

Ah, hey there Vainamoinen. I thought you were bound to your Bey?

Not necessarily, I can go wherever I want. However...

As Venni walked he looked up into the sky, the clouds were about to darken on the horizon.

It appears that the rain is approaching, let's move.

You don't need to remind me.

Venni moved faster to go back home.

Venni: Beniko called out a person's name when she ran away, didn't she?

Mhm, are you jealous?

No, it sounded like a girl's name. She's just a friend though.

Ah, I see.

It seems like you're the type to talk about lovey-dovey stuff, huh? Fitting for someone old.

Old?

Vainamoinen wasn't really present, but Venni could feel a sense of anger following him.

Looks like a struck a nerve once more. Sorry about that again.

Well, that explains it.

Venni came back home just as the rain poured down from the sky.

Venni: Perfect timing.

Venni opened the door and entered.

Venni: I'm home.

Takeru was there helping his mother bring in the clothes she hung outside.

Aina: You're here Venni! Come help us real quick, will you?

Takeru was struggling with the pile of clothes he lifted.

Takeru (struggling): Y-yeah, I could use a little help here...

Venni: Don't worry.

Aina: They're in the back, bring them upstairs, okay?

Venni: I hear you, loud and clear.

Venni ran for the back to pick up the remaining clothes and immediately ran back in to bring them upstairs.

Alright, that was surprisingly convenient.

Venni hung them on the line quickly along with Takeru.

Takeru (weakly): Finally, it's done.

Venni: What'd you say?

Takeru: I-I just said I was finished.

Venni: Oh, I see.

Thunder sounded across the sky and the rain intensified.

Venni: Man, it's really pouring down.

It's not as intense as the rain back home, but it's pretty strong though.

Takeru: Y-yeah...

Venni rolled his arms and tilted his head.

Venni: You wanna get some coffee?

Takeru: C-coffee? I... don't really drink that.

Venni: I see, hot coco then?

Takeru: O-okay, I guess.

Venni went downstairs and prepared drinks for the two of them.

Life here doesn't really feel different, but I guess it's because I'm fresh here. 

Venni set the other mug on the table as he drank his cup. Takeru came to the kitchen afterward.

Venni: Here it is.

Takeru: T-thanks.

Takeru picked up his mug and took a sip.

Takeru: I didn't want to bother you a-about this but...

He took another sip before looking at Venni.

Takeru: Are you still alright? Why did you run away from Haruna-san?

Venni placed his mug on the nook.

Venni: For the most part, I am. The reason why I ran away... was because I couldn't bring myself to face her.

Takeru: I-I see. I won't delve in any further.

Venni: Thanks for understanding.

Venni took another sip of coffee.

Venni: We've made up with each other though, and it looks like she's still the same as ever.

He scoffed as he drank from his mug once more.

Venni: That girl...

Takeru: She's a determined person from the looks of it, when she made her new Bey she went up against Akio-san over 50 times and lost all the time. She still went on and fought through though.

Over 50 losses? That sounds way too much to be true.

Venni: Are you exaggerating that, or are you being for real?

Venni looked at him with some anger on his face and his tone of voice turned serious, startling Takeru.

Takeru: N-no! I'm being honest, she lost that many times. She... w-was close to winning at the last moment though, that I will say.

Venni: I see.

Takeru: Sorry for making you mad...

Venni: I was?

Takeru: Y-yeah.

Takeru slowly looked down in shame.

Venni: No, I apologize for scaring you like that. She's a very determined person, and even if I broke that promise we made as kids, she just made a new one and didn't care anyway.

A small smile curled up on his face.

So I care for her that much, eh?

Venni: I didn't see her when I went back here.

I wonder, what's she doing right now?

Takeru: I wouldn't know, but she's probably gone home.

Venni: Hopefully.

He took one last sip, emptying his cup.

Venni: Let me ask you this time.

Takeru: Hm?

Venni looked at Takeru.

Venni: Why did you make this new system?

Takeru was silent for a moment as he sipped from his cup.

Takeru: I'm not exactly the best in Blading, which is why...

Takeru: I want to make a splash in the Blading world, even if I'm not the best in that field.

So, he wants to make history, I believe.

Venni: You wanna make history? Why didn't you publicize the Formula System yet?

Takeru: Ah, you see... I feel like it's not exactly ready yet

Venni: Is that so?

Takeru: Yes.

Venni: Well then...

Venni got off the wall and went through Takeru, patting his shoulder.

Venni: I'll help you with that.

Takeru: Okay...

Venni went upstairs and Takeru remained silent until he realized what he said.

Takeru: Wait, w-what?

Venni: Hm?

Takeru: I-I thought you said you hated Blading?

Venni looked to the ground for a moment before looking back at him.

Venni: Not necessarily.

Going upstairs, he was silent.

I think I'm beginning to like it again, huh? Well, maybe not.

Venni: But who knows?

[Several days later...]

It's been a couple of days since that conversation happened, and I feel like I did a good job making an ARG about it.

Takeru went out of his room, as he finished dressing up. He checked his phone and called out for Venni.

Takeru: H-hey!

Venni looked back as he was in the corridor about to head downstairs, wearing his jacket along the way.

Venni: What is it?

Takeru: Do you want to come to the shop again?

Venni looked in front of him as walked away.

Venni: Sure, my plan was to head there anyway.

Takeru nodded and followed him.

The pair arrived in Akio's shop and it was somewhat filled with people.

It's surprisingly crowded in comparison to my last visit.

Go! 

I'm not giving up!

Two boys were juking it out on the stadium the shop had, while a small crowd of kids was watching as well.

Takeru: Those two are really going at it huh?

As the two cousins were looking at the battle going in there, Akio called out to them.

Akio: Hey there, you two!

He looked at them with a wide smile.

Takeru: Hey...

Venni: Hello there.

Takeru: What'd you call me for anyways?

Takeru approached the counter and Venni followed suit.

Akio: Nothin'! I just wanted to hang out with ya'! You've also brought Venni too, so the more the merrier then!

Venni and Takeru looked at Akio with a blank stare.

That's why he called him here?

(In unison, monotone): Is that so?

Akio: Why do you two sound so damn uninterested...?

Meanwhile, someone else entered the shop.

Hey there! Kanayama-san!

The girl spoke with a loud voice.

Beniko's here too?

Akio: Oh, Haruna-san! You're here too, eh?

Beniko: Don't be surprised! You're the one who hit me up about this, you know?

Akio: Hehe, fair enough.

Akio grinned.

Akio: So, whaddya wanna do today?

Venni: Looks like you have work right now though, are you sure that you can just leave without saying anything?

Akio: Never said I'd leave this shop.

Beniko: Then that would be a bit boring, wouldn't it?

Akio: Nah, trust me, it'll be fun here!

Takeru: Fun doing what? Deal with the people here as cashiers?

Akio: What?

Akio raised his eyebrow, while Beniko tried holding in her laugh and Venni let out a little smug face.

Akio: Nah, I have to deal with the shop, or dad's gonna kill me.

Beniko: Takeru's right though! It's gonna be boring here if we just sit down. Did you just call us here for help?

Akio: You... yeah.

He gritted his teeth before looking down weakly in defeat.

Akio: Alright, alright. We might go outside for a little walk 'round town, or some snacks.

Beniko: Alright!

Venni shook his head with a smile and responded to the others.

Venni: I suppose that's a good idea for all of us, but maybe not for Akio. I'll just get something instead.

Beniko: I wanna go to a fast food joint and eat some food though!

Beniko raised her hand as if she volunteered for something.

Takeru: I wanted to go to an arcade, but I see your point.

Didn't expect Takeru to like that stuff.


Venni: I'll just pick up the stuff you want, so Akio can deal with his job.

Akio: You didn't save me from my job, but you did save me from getting my butt kicked.

Akio scratched his head and Beniko nudged Venni.

Beniko: Man, Venni. Since when did you become a waiter? These 8 years really did something to you, huh?

Venni: Probably.

Takeru: Sorry for bothering you then, Akio.

Akio: It's not much anyway, it's just a little chit-chat, isn't it?

Venni nodded in agreement. 

It's been a couple of days since I've lived in Japan, but I've found myself a group of friends already.

He looked at the people around him and smiled a little in satisfaction.

It feels... nice.

As the group bickered around, another person went into the store, a blue-haired girl with a cat-themed motorcycle helmet. [i]This caused the crowd that was battling earlier to drop what they were doing.[/i]

So this is the place, huh? I was expecting it to be bigger.

She made a bubble from her bubblegum, popping it as it grew bigger.

Hey, is that...?

Ilya Mao?!

The group, save for Venni, took notice and looked at the entrance.

What's happening?

Ilya: Hello there!

The crowd roared with joy, surprising Venni.

What the? Who's this anyway? A celebrity?

Some people approached her, wanting to take a picture or talk with her.

It's Ilya Mao! Will you take a picture with me?

Ilya: Right, sure.

The two took a selfie and Beniko joined in as well, photobombing them.

Beniko: Cheese!

Ilya: What?

Ilya got surprised by Beniko's surprise jump but shrugged it off nonetheless.

Ilya: You scared me a bit, you know?

Beniko: Ah, my bad!

Beniko scratched her head, smiling nervously.

Ilya: It's fine though! You just wanted a pic anyways.

Ilya then moved to the counter and leaned on it, getting up close to Akio.

Akio: How may I help ya'?

Ilya: I've heard something about this shop. Mind if you show your Bey?

Akio raised a brow, but grabbed his Bey and put it on the counter.

Ilya: Oh~! So this is a new system, eh? Someone told me about it, but I won't tell you.

Ilya put her finger on her lips, doing a 'quiet' gesture.

Akio: Kind of suspicious, but you're here to get one, right?

Ilya: Mhm, you're pretty quick on the uptake. Though you don't look like it.

Akio: Well, if you want one, you could ask Takecchi for permission.

Ilya: Takecchi?

She looked at Takeru, causing him to be alerted.

Takeru: E-eh?

Ilya closed up on Takeru's face, making him nervous and flustered.

Takeru: Y-yes?

Ilya: So... will you make me Formula Bey?

Ilya got even closer to his face, making him blush like a tomato.

Takeru: A-alright! Y-you're way too close for comfort!

Ilya backed off from him, and Takeru sighed in relief.

Ilya: Okay, let's start then.

She looked at Akio with a smug face, before Akio left the counter and gestured to Ilya to come with him.

The group followed Akio and Ilya, while Venni tapped Beniko's shoulder.

Venni: Who's that?

Beniko immediately looked at Venni in shock.

Beniko: Eh? You don't know?

Venni: Of course, I think I've said this before but I haven't been active in the Blading community for 5 years.

Beniko: Oh, okay! So let me explain, Ilya Mao is one of the strongest female Bladers in the WBBA as of now, alright?

Venni: Mhm, anything else?

Beniko: In her first real battle, she beat both Bell Daikokuten and Rashad Goodman with one hit in a 5-player battle royale. And she's also part of WBBA's new generation of young Bladers which consists of Rashad Goodman and Basara Suiryu among a couple of others.

Who are those guys as well...? You know what, I'm just not gonna ask.

Venni: I see.

While Beniko explained to Venni, the rest began work on Ilya's new Bey.

Takeru: I-it's not really much of a new system, but more of an improvement. I-I would say.

Akio: Yeah, I suggest making the blueprint first. You're lucky Takecchi is here because he might help you with building that.

Akio patted his back twice with a smile on his face.

Ilya: I see.

She went on to grab a piece of paper and a pencil. 

Ilya: Now... what do I make?

Akio walked upstairs through Beniko and Venni.

Akio: Mind if you help them too? I don't have all day to make Beys.

Akio did a 'thumbs up' gesture before leaving them.

Ilya: Hey, are these drawings yours?

Ilya looked at the blueprints for Amarok, Tennin, and Brunhilde.

Ilya: Pfft. What's up with this yellow Bey? It's drawn badly!

Takeru: T-that's Akio's Bey.

Ilya looked towards Takeru.

Ilya: Is that so, eh? These blueprints look pretty cool.

Takeru nodded as Ilya went back to business.

Ilya: And also, who's the foreign guy?

She asked while she was drawing.

Venni: You're asking about me, I believe?

Ilya: Mhm, your name?

Venni: My name's Ven-

Beniko interrupted him immediately.

Beniko: That guy right there is Venni Lehtinen, and I'm his best friend!

Beniko put her arm around Venni, as he looked on with a blank stare.

Ilya: Man, you really like interrupting people, eh?

Beniko: That's probably just my style, hehe!

Beniko grinned cheekily.

Ilya: Anyways, I think we should get going with this. 

Takeru nodded and Ilya took off her helmet and placed it on the desk.

Venni: Alright then.

Beniko: Yep!

The group set up the equipment necessary for the creation of Beys and Beniko helped with the design of Ifrit.

Beniko continued helping with the design.

Ilya: No, this won't cut it.

Beniko: Eh? Attack power would be good though!

Ilya turned on her chair.

Ilya: No, not exactly. I'm not the type to use Attack-types, and I prefer doing extending battles longer.

Beniko: Is that so? Eh.

Beniko crumpled the paper she drew on for the umpteenth time.

Ilya: Hey, you're surprisingly good at drawing, you know?

Beniko: I'm only good at sketches and stuff, Venni's better than me in art.

Ilya scoffed at her remark.

Ilya: Looks like it, he seems like the rich kid trope.

Ilya went back to work as Venni listened to their conversation for a bit.

From what I see, they're having a bit of trouble in the design department. 

Venni: Must be difficult catering to someone else's tastes, huh?

Venni noticed a couple of large cans as well as boxes with Akio's handwriting on them.

Venni: What are these...?

He then crouched to read the text on the cans and it read 'LATEX SAP'.

Materials for rubber, I suppose. He keeps these around here, eh?

Next, he read the boxes and was surprised by what they contained according to the label.

Venni: What the? Nylon and... polyester?

Aren't these what make F1 tires? How'd he get his hands on these anyways?

There was a note on the side, saying; "Use sparingly, this was pretty damn hard to get."

I'm not gonna waste whatever he has.

He picked up a can of latex sap.

Venni: Hey you guys, you might need this.

I hope Akio doesn't mind us using this.

The group looked at Venni.

Beniko: What's that?

Venni: Latex sap, probably for rubber.

He went to the desk and laid it down.

Ilya: Rubber... wait, your name was Beniko was it?

Beniko: Yeah?

Ilya: Don't scrap that yet, I know just what to do.

Beniko: Uh... okay?

Ilya began drawing her Bey.

Ilya: Hee hee! Thanks for the idea, Venni!

Venni: I just found a can of rubber though.

Well, she's found out what to do then. Good for her.

Takeru: A-and if you're done, you can just use the computer.

Ilya: You don't need to tell me!

Takeru: Okay...

The blueprint was finished, but Venni couldn't see it clearly.

I can't see what she made.

Ilya: Alright, I'm done! Well, not really but, you get the point!

She slid on her chair towards the computer in order to convert her blueprint into a 3D model. Venni saw a glimpse of it.

Her drawing is really rushed, it's kinda bad.

Venni: Did you rush your drawing?

Ilya: Yeah... haha.

She laughed nervously.

Jackpot. I guessed right.

Ilya: But what's the problem with it? Let's just get into it.

The full 3D model was shown on screen, displaying a six-bladed Balance type on the screen. Three blades appeared to be encased in a jagged, blue lining and three others sloped upwards, having an angular and more pronounced shape.

Ilya: So, how'd you like me now?

Beniko: We haven't seen it in action yet though, so we'll let the battles do the talking!

Ilya grinned.

Ilya: True, alright then. Let's get this show on the road.

To think Takeru's system finally was noticed, I'm kind of proud of him.

With the help of everyone, the process took two hours, unlike the other Formula Beys which took longer. The conversion of the sap to rubber did prove to be difficult though, as it had an awful stench and was quite sticky.

Ilya: Well, looks like we're done! 

Takeru: Y-yeah... that latex smelled bad!

I'm not even gonna ask what happened to Akio's nose after making Amarok.

Ilya: However, thanks to the little guy over there, I've made my new Bey... Molten Ifrit.

Beniko: Molten Ifrit? Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

Ilya: Of course it does!

Ilya looked at her Bey, a smile curled up on her face.

Ilya: Well then, who's my first target?

Molten Ifrit Nexus Metal Trans-4MF:
Molten Ifrit is a Right-spinning Balance-type that features six blades that are patterned differently. Three blades slope downwards, and are angular similar to the Abyss Ring's blades, these provide Upper Attack to destabilize opponents. Behind these three blades that slope downwards is three other blades that slope upwards and are jagged, and also encased in rubber in order to provide defensive capabilities as well as Smash Attack and overall, the combination of these blades provides a double attack effect. The Nexus Disc is a DB disc with 8 blades on it and is able to fit in a certain attachment and the Driver is a Metal (Lock) variant of Trans.

Wraith Amarok redesign because I feel like I made it too similar to Lindwyrm:
The Wraith Blade features four blades that are aggressive, two of which are larger than the other two and are jagged. The blades are spaced similarly to Zwei Longinus' blades, but retain the characteristics of Judgement Joker's rubber blades.

This may be the debut of the Formula System.

Venni: Good job, Takeru.

Ilya looked around and chose between the three.

Beniko: I'll go first!

Beniko showed her Bey to Ilya.

Ilya: That's nice, but I'll get to decide who I'm fighting.

Beniko: Then that'll be me!

Venni held Beniko by the shoulder, shaking his head.

Venni: I'm not entirely sure who she is, but we should let her decide.

Beniko: Come on! Let her go against me!

Ilya: She's a stubborn one, eh?

That's just how she is, I'm not surprised.

Ilya: Maybe... I'll pick you, Takeru!

Takeru: E-eh? Me? Th-there's no way...

Ilya: Tatatata. Quit meandering about and just do it!

Ilya interrupted Takeru by imitating his stutters. Dismayed, Takeru let off a weak sigh.

Takeru: Alright then...

Ilya grabbed a ball out of her pocket, which was one of the camera drones Bell had.

A drone, what's she planning to do?

Ilya: Right... is this thing working?

A small, red light flashed underneath and the drone began to speak.

Drone: Recording started.

Takeru: Huh?

Ilya looked at the camera and waved.

Ilya: Hello everyone! Ilya Mao here, and it appears a new system has emerged from the ground.

She's live streaming this... I'm not entirely sure whether Takeru's going to be fine or not.

Takeru: W-wait! Don't record this!

Ilya: What's the problem?

Takeru: I'm...

Ilya laughed him off and just waved her hand.

Ilya: Forget about your doubts! There's nothing wrong with a little live stream.

Takeru's hands were shaking and he was biting his lip, greatly nervous. Meanwhile, Ilya got into her stance.

Ilya: Let's start!

The camera drone began the countdown.

Drone: Three, two, one...

The two of them launched, Takeru did it lousily whereas Ilya launched with great strength.

Beniko: Good luck, Miyazono-san!

Takeru: Uh... Tennin! The center!

Ilya: I can see where you're going, Takeru.

Weakly, Tennin went for the center while Ifrit was circling around before going for an attack.

Ilya: Ifrit! 

Ifrit charged towards Tennin with great speed, knocking it off the center.

Takeru: Ah! Tennin!

Ilya: Is that all you got?

Takeru: R-recover!

The Quantum driver scraped against the stadium floor, allowing it to recover. However, Ifrit was already in a position to attack.

Ilya: Would be nice if you could actually do so.

Ifrit slammed it into the ground, causing it to scrape with more force than intended, killing Tennin's stamina after a few moments.

Takeru: No!

Beniko: Ah, what a bummer!

Takeru stared at the fallen Tennin, as the drone spoke with its robotic voice.

Drone: Molten Ifrit, Spin Finish! Ilya Mao gains one point.

Takeru weakly reached out to Tennin as Ilya regained her Bey and grabbed it mid-air.

Ilya: Haha! This system is really good! I like it, so...

She looked at Takeru with a little smile.

Ilya: Are you up for another round?

Takeru opened his mouth a little, then nodded nervously.

Takeru: Y-yes.

The two got into their respective positions.

I don't see this battle going so well for Takeru.

The drone then began counting down once more.

Drone: Second battle! 

(In unison): Three, two, one... go shoot!

Takeru opened up the battle with a more powerful launch, though it was off the mark.

Takeru: Ah, no!

Accidentally, Takeru shot towards the wrong side of the stadium causing it to be in front of Ifrit.

Ilya: Ooh, looks like you're open for attacks!

Ifrit lined up with Tennin who was racing around the banking and thus trapping him.

Ilya: What are you going to do?

Ifrit slightly moved around, as if it was taunting Tennin and teasing it.

Takeru: Ah! Uh... Tennin!

Tennin became faster than before, much to Ilya's surprise.

Ilya: Oh?

Takeru: To the wall!

Tennin rode the wall with its Driver, allowing it to get away from Ifrit while being faster too.

Ilya: Nice move, but you overlooked one aspect.

Ifrit turned inside and performed an undercut, blocking off Tennin as soon as he reached the mid-point of the stadium.

Takeru: Wait, what?!

Ilya: Out you go.

Ilya did a 'shoo' gesture as Ifrit knocked Tennin out of the stadium.

Drone: Molten Ifrit! Over Finish!

While still being a bit of a nervous wreck, Takeru issued another match.

Takeru: O-one more!

Ilya raised her eyebrow, curious as to why he still wanted another one but went along with it.

Ilya: Alright then.

Once more, the pair got into position. 

Drone: Third battle!

(In unison): Three, two, one... Go shoot!

Their Beys landed on the stadium nicely and Takeru did a better launch than his earlier two.

Takeru: Good, keep it up!

Tennin then took to the center, but instead of staying stationary, it circled around it.

Ilya: Very interesting strategy, but will it be enough to defeat me?

Takeru: I-I'm not entirely sure...

Ifrit charged straight for Tennin once more, and Tennin managed to dodge the barrage of attacks it sent.

Ilya: Oh? Not bad.

Takeru smiled widely.

Takeru: G-good, Tennin! Keep on dodging!

Ilya: You're using my own tricks against me though.

As soon as Ifrit reached the center, it took a sharp turn and crashed into Tennin from behind, pushing it into the wall.

Takeru: Hang in there, Tennin!

Ilya: You won't escape, sadly!

Ifrit was forcing it into the wall with a great amount of power.

I can't watch this...

Then don't.

But Venni, you have to do something, quickly.

Calm down, I know he'll pull through.

He's younger than you, and in a sense, he's like your brother.

Takeru's still battling, it's painful to watch. Please stop it.

As much as I want to stop it, it was his own decision in the first place. I believe he should settle it himself.

Takeru: Come on, Tennin... do something!

Ilya: Quit pleading, and do it yourself!

Takeru gritted his teeth and clenched his fists.

Takeru: Tennin!

Tennin gleamed in red light, as its wings were being pushed out.

Takeru: Skyline Counter!

Ifrit and Tennin were both pushed off the wall, and back into the center. Tennin recovered immediately and circled around the center then into the banking, gaining a great deal of momentum.

Takeru: Come on, come on!

Beniko: Alright, Takeru! Let's go!

Ifrit prepared itself as both the wings and metal balls on Tennin were pushed out, increasing its power.

Ilya: You've regained some of your form, not bad. Now to switch positions!

It was revealed that mid-air, it switched modes, thus showing a sharp tip in the center.

Ilya: Molten Barrier!

Ifrit was engulfed in an orange flame, with its blue rubber blades glowing in their respective colors.

The two Beys collided against each other, with Ifrit parrying against its opponent and Tennin pushing back with just as much force.

Takeru: The other side!

Tennin rolled towards the right, intercepting its movement and pushing it off in its vulnerable space.

Ilya: Ifrit! 

The Trans Driver scraped against the floor, changing its trajectory, allowing it to crash back into Tennin.

Takeru: Oh no, you don't!

Tennin tilted at an angle, allowing it to barely dodge Ifrit.

Ilya: Brace for impact!

The rubber blades on the Molten Blade compressed upon contact with the wall, allowing it to bounce back towards Tennin. Ilya then hissed before attacking Tennin.

Ilya: Molten Sweep!

One of Ifrit's rubber blades slammed Tennin into the ground before one of its upper wings lifted into the air before it even touched the ground, Bursting it instantly.

Takeru: Tennin...

Tennin's parts fell before the drone began to speak.

Drone: Molten Ifrit, Burst Finish! Ilya Mao wins!

Ilya looked at Takeru, disappointed.

Ilya: Man, it appears that the owner doesn't appear to be on the same level of quality as his Beys... 

Takeru gritted his teeth and clenched his fist, but let it go with a sigh. Ilya skated towards him, so as to intimidate him.

Ilya: Why are you even here to begin with?

Ilya whispered in his ear.

Ilya: Takeru?

Takeru was taken aback, but he didn't have the over-the-top reaction he had from earlier.

The audacity she's got... are you trying to break his spirit?

Ilya: You have a nice Bey indeed, and you made mine. But what's the point of having a strong Bey if you can't even match up to its quality?

Ilya circled around Takeru, taunting him as he stood silent.

Beniko: Hey, you! Quit saying that to Takeru!

Ilya: What's the problem? Are you mad that I'm just lecturing your boyfriend?

Beniko: He's not my boyfriend!

Beniko got up close to Ilya's face.

Beniko: But he's one of my friends!

Beniko stared at Ilya with a serious expression.

Ilya: And? I'm only talking to him about reality, you don't succeed when you're as weak as this.

Ilya passed through Beniko.

Ilya: So you're better off abandoning your dream and your Bey, Takeru.

Just as Ilya said this, Venni's eyes widened.

Beniko: What?! You can't just go off telling people to abandon Blading! 

Ilya: He's just a waste of space though!

Beniko: I don't give a damn! You don't say that to any person just because they lost to you!

Beniko held Ilya by her collar, ready to punch her. But out of nowhere, Venni stopped her.

Venni: Cut it off.

Beniko: But Venni!

Venni looked at Beniko as a strong, and powerful aura surrounded Venni, causing everyone to stop.

Beniko: Is that so, huh?

Beniko stepped back and stared at him.

Ilya: Oh?

Venni had a calm expression on his face, in contrast to the presence surrounding him right now.

Venni: Ilya Mao, was your name, right?

Venni said as he approached him.

Ilya: Yeah, did you forget?

Venni: Maybe, but I don't really care.

Venni faced her in a menacing manner.

Venni: Prove to me, that you're correct. 

Venni's aura intensified even further, causing Ilya to break out in a cold sweat.

Ilya: Oh? It seems like we have another challenger.

Takeru looked at Venni with concern.

Takeru: Venni...

Venni patted his head with a smile, like an older brother.

Venni: Stay back, I'll deal with her. 

Takeru was reassured and stepped back accordingly just as Venni took his place in the stadium.

Venni: I'll let her know where she belongs.

Before the battle began, Venni's consciousness was accelerated, slowing down everything around him.

Vainamoinen: Venni, you appear to be enraged.

Venni sighed.

Venni: I'm fine.

Vainamoinen: That doesn't seem to be the case.

Venni: As I said, I'm alright.

Silence ensued for a moment before Vainamoinen gave him a hug.

Vainamoinen: Don't be afraid to tell me, what's happening with you now?

This calmed Venni a little, as her hug reminded him of his mother.

Venni: She's crossed the line.

Vainamoinen steadily got off of him and held his shoulders.

Vainamoinen: Well then, how about we teach her a little lesson? I've been itching to do so as well.

She smiled, like her mother. It was like seeing Kaarina again in person.

Venni: What are we waiting for then?

Vainamoinen nodded, and Venni went back to reality.

Let's begin.

With a smile, Ilya rolled back into position.

Ilya: So, are you mad because I bullied your friend?

Venni didn't respond with anything and steadied his breath.

Venni: How about you just get on with it? Us Finns don't like small talk.

Ilya chuckled.

Ilya: Straight to the point! I like it!

Ilya also prepared to launch, as the drone began to count down.

Drone: Registering... first battle!

(In unison): Three... two... one...

You've gone quite overboard, Miss Ilya.

Ilya: Go shoot!

Without a word, Venni launched along with Ilya. It was a powerful launch, even more so than that of Takeru's.

Ilya: Looks like your Bey's a Defense-type, this should be fun!

Which is what you thought.

Ifrit took the center as it was set to Stamina Mode while Vainamoinen was circling around the stadium, steadily picking up momentum for an attack.

I'll make sure you know your place in this battle.

Ilya: Come on then, attack me with that trashy Bey of yours!

Venni: If that's what you want.

Without warning, Vainamoinen took a sharp turn towards Ifrit while also retaining its current speed, much to her surprise.

Ilya: Oho! It's fast!

Vainamoinen crashed into Ifrit with immense force, sending it into the wall and making it lose a good amount of stamina.

Ilya: He's quite powerful as well.

Ilya muttered to herself, putting her hand on a chin with a bit of satisfaction on her face.

Venni: You know, I can still hear you.

Ilya: So you do huh? Doesn't matter though. Ifrit, another one!

Ifrit tilted a little while it gained speed, allowing it to increase its impact upon contact with Vainamoinen.

Venni: My turn to take the center.

Vainamoinen circled around the center similar to Tennin earlier.

This should suffice.

With barely any emotion in his voice, he spoke.

Venni: Glacier Wall.

An ice blue and purple ring surrounded the center as if there was a cyclone.

Ilya: Whatever tricks you're pulling, I'll see through them.

Go on and taunt me if you like, words aren't going to beat out actions here.

Ifrit crashed into the barrier Vainamoinen had produced but to no avail. It kept on pushing against the wall nonetheless.

Ilya: Keep pushing, Ifrit!

Ifrit kept on pushing until there was a depression in the cyclone.

Ilya: Yes!

Little did she know...

Venni remained unfazed, and as soon as Ifrit reached the mid-point of the cyclone, it was immediately met with Vainamoinen to its side.

Ilya: Wait, you were there?

Venni: Hmph.

Vainamoinen blasted Ifrit towards the wall with a great wind following it, killing all its stamina as soon as it did.

Ilya: No way...

Drone: Avalanche Vainamoinen, Spin Finish! Venni Lehtinen gains a point.

Ilya looked at her fallen Bey with her mouth open. But just shrugged it off with a smile.

Beniko: Nice one, Venni!

Beniko cheered on for Venni.

Ilya: Heh, not bad, that really caught me off guard. 

Smiling, Ilya looked at him with a serious expression.

Ilya: You're stronger than I thought.

She has a big mouth.

Are you bothered?

Not really, I'm just saying it as it is.

Venni rolled his left arm.

Venni: Save the chatter for later.

The two got into position as Ilya set her Bey to Attack Mode, showing her Driver while also setting her Bey to High Mode.

Ilya: I'll go into High Attack Mode.

He sighed because of Ilya.

Venni: Quit showing off.

This is what I hate about some Bladers, they show whatever mode their Bey's in.


Ilya: Intimidated?

Venni: No, I find it stupid.

Ilya only scoffed before preparing to launch.

Ilya: Sheesh, how cold!

The drone began counting down once more.

Drone: Second battle!

(In unison): Three, two, one... go shoot!

Both of them launched in perfect sync and Vainamoinen immediately rushed for the center.

Venni: Now, what will you do?

Ilya: Ifrit, beat him down!

Ifrit charged towards Vainamoinen, albeit to no avail.

Ilya: Keep going!

Very useless.

Venni: You're not going anywhere with what you're doing.

Ilya: We'll see about that.

Ifrit sent a barrage of attacks towards Vainamoinen, but it was left unfazed. And neither was Ifrit too.

Ilya: Keep on attacking!

Ilya smiled, confident in her strategy.

What's she planning to do?

Ifrit became faster and faster with each hit, using Vainamoinen to boost its speed.

Ilya: Do it now!

Ifrit struck Vainamoinen, allowing it to flip over to its side and jump in the air.

So that's what she was going for?

Venni: Interesting, anyways... get out of there, Vainamoinen.

Vainamoinen circled around the center and as Ifrit reached the ground, their blades were colliding with each other.

Ilya: Molten Smash!

Ifrit slammed Vainamoinen into the ground, then both get flung into the air and right on the ridge.

That was close, so that's what she had up her sleeve.

That might be just it, and nothing more.

Her raw power seems powerful, so it's best not to take her power lightly.

You don't really need to say that, Beniko told me she was part of this 'new generation' of Bladers.

Ilya hissed at Venni, preparing to attack.

Ilya: Ifrit, cut them down!

The two collided at the center, and as soon as they did, Ifrit attempted to hit it with a two-hit combo.

Ilya: Molten Sweep!

Ifrit slashed Vainamoinen, only for the Avalanche Ring to be pushed back and be compressed.

Venni: Crashing Avalanche!

Vainamoinen blasted Ifrit close to the wall, where it recovered immediately.

Ilya: Get back at 'em!

The two Beys sent a barrage of hits towards each other.

Ilya: Are you dumb? Do you think that a Defense-type like that is gonna overpower me?

Venni: I've blown you away towards the wall twice. Don't get cocky now.

They kept at it, and just as Ifrit gained enough momentum, Vainamoinen tilted and barely evaded Ifrit's attack.

Ilya: Dodging? Your tricks aren't gonna fool me!

Ifrit attacked Vainamoinen once more and also missed, it attacked once more instantly, and unsurprisingly, it missed.

Ilya: Quit running away from me!

Takeru: You've used this strategy before, right?

Ilya was alarmed by what Takeru said, distracting her and leaving Ifrit open for an attack.

Venni: Your Bey's wide open for attacks.

Ilya took notice of this and barely missed Vainamoinen's oncoming attack.

Her reflexes are quick, I'll admit. The battle doesn't seem to be over yet.

Ilya: Ifrit, pick up more speed!

Ifrit veered towards the left and circled around the stadium, Vainamoinen would also follow suit on its own side.

Ilya: I'll make sure that you'll lose!

Venni: Try your best.

Ifrit accelerated spontaneously and later on caught up with Vainamoinen.

Ilya: Hah!

Ifrit turned right, pushing Vainamoinen into the wall but failed as it slowed down enough to get around it.

Ilya: I'm not done yet!

Ifrit then went towards the left immediately, pushing Vainamoinen off to the other side.

Argh!

Hold on tight, I'll do something.

Do it quickly...

Vainamoinen tilted at an angle in the opposite direction, making it easier for Ifrit to push it.

Ilya: Man, what are you doing?

The two Beys reached the wall. And when they did, Vainamoinen slipped out of Ifrit's grasp because it fit through the gap between the Disc and the Blade in High Mode.

Ilya: So that's what it was!

The tabs on the Trigger Driver were pulled, resulting in the rubber ring being unlocked.

Venni: Avalanche Drift!

By accident, the rubber wings on Ifrit hit the wall and compressed, allowing it to bounce back into Vainamoinen.

Ilya: Huh? Nice one!

The two clashed, and Vainamoinen was knocked onto the top of the wall.

Venni: It's over for this round.

Vainamoinen tipped over and fell out of the stadium, still spinning.

Drone: Molten Ifrit, Over Finish! Ilya Mao scores one point!

Ilya: You lost now.

Venni: I know that.

Venni picked his Bey up.

Ilya: It's not over yet.

She returned to her position with a sinister smile.

Ilya: I'll make you realize how worthless your friend is.

Venni stood still, his eyes widening as he wiped off Vainamoinen.

Venni: What did you say?

Ilya: Do I need to repeat myself? Takeru is a worthless person who doesn't belong to the world of Blading.

Just as Ilya said that bad memories rushed in his head.

His face remained the same, but the aura surrounding him became sinister and filled with anger.

Venni: Ilya.

His voice deepened, sending shivers down Ilya's spine.

Venni: Poor choice of words.

His aura intensified even further as he stared at Ilya with his cold eyes, devoid of emotion. This caused Ilya to break out in a cold sweat.

Ilya: S-so he's reached his breaking point, huh?

Unlike earlier, Ilya had a serious expression on her face and her hands were trembling.

Venni... so that's what happened.

What did?

I know you're troubled, but calm down.

I am calm, I'll just make her know who she's up against now.

No, I know you're not. Please calm down.

Don't fear, I won't break her Bey.

Venni: I'll be breaking her instead.

The drone started once more.

Drone: Third battle!

Ilya: Three!

Ilya: Two!

Both Beys landed in sync and Ifrit was set to Low Mode again. 

Ilya: Ifrit, let's start!

Just as Ilya commanded her Bey, Vainamoinen was already in front of it.

Ilya: What?!

Venni: What are you looking at?

Vainamoinen knocked Ifrit into the wall.

Ilya: Go faster, Ifrit!

Ifrit tried to escape on the banking, but Vainamoinen beat her to it by pushing it into the wall.

Venni: Don't run away from me.

Ilya: I will!

One of Ifrit's rubber blades glowed and allowed it to bounce off the wall, pushing Vainamoinen away to the center.

Ilya: Don't give him a chance to attack!

Futile.

Ifrit sent a blisteringly fast barrage of attacks towards Vainamoinen, but Vainamoinen dodged it as it was circling around the stadium.

Ilya: Damn it... why can't I hit you?!

The circle tightened, making Ifrit turn sharper and lose speed in the process.

Ilya: Quit doing that!

Venni remained silent and still looked at Ilya with a cold stare, frightening her.

Venni: Tell me.

Ilya: What?!

Venni: Why should I?

Venni tilted his head in an eerie manner as Ifrit was stuck inside the zone Vainamoinen had made.

Ilya: H-huh? Get me out of here!

Venni was unfazed by Ilya's pleads while his friends looked at him in horror and concern.

Beniko: Venni, man... what are you doing?

Ifrit bounced off the walls, and later on the winds created by Vainamoinen disappeared, unveiling it and letting it grapple Ifrit towards the wall.

Beniko: Venni, cut that sh*t out!

Beniko ran for Venni, but looked at her, causing her to stop dead in her tracks.

Venni: Just watch.

Ifrit was being pushed against the wall.

Beniko: No, seriously. Cut that out!

Venni: Hm?

Venni was distracted for a moment, allowing Ifrit to break free.

Venni: Now look what you've done.

Vainamoinen chased after Ifrit with great speed.

Ilya: N-no...

Ifrit was sent out of control.

Ilya: Get away from me!

With Ilya greatly terrified, it hit the wall and Bursted.

Ilya: Ifrit...

Ilya fell down to her knees.

Venni: Tch, and you say that she's part of the WBBA's new generation?

Everyone looked at him in horror, with Ilya being the most frightened.

Venni: Don't make me laugh.

Venni sighed, and it seems like he's calmed down.

Venni: Right, sorry about that.

He went to the other side of the stadium and helped her up.

Confused and a little scared, she looked at Venni.

Ilya: What are you planning?

Venni: Nothing.

She shoved his hand away and stood up herself.

Ilya: Like I'd believe that.

Ilya skated towards the staircase and climbed up silently.

She rolled her eyes then Beniko pushed against the chair, closing up on Venni's face.

Beniko: Something was definitely wrong with you there.

Venni remained silent, looking on with a straight face.

Beniko: Come on, Venni! Tell me!

Takeru pulled her away from Venni.

Takeru: Just... leave him alone for now.

Beniko: Huh?

Takeru shook his head.

Venni: That might be the best right now, I don't want anyone trying to bother me.

Beniko turned back with a wide smile and ran towards Venni, surprising both him and Takeru.

Beniko wrapped her arm around his shoulder, much to his chagrin.

Venni: What are you doing?

Takeru: H-hey, I don't think what you're doing would be-

Beniko did a 'thumbs up' gesture, somehow cutting off Takeru.

Beniko: Oi, Ven-san! I brought a bike with me today, so what do you say we...

Beniko got off of him and pointed towards the sky.

Beniko: Have a little trip, just the two of us!

Venni looked at her with a little confusion on his face.

Venni: Look, I don't really want to be bothered right now. Just leave me be, please.

Beniko: Bothered? It's not like you've got anything to do today though!

Venni looked away a little and eventually shook his head, smiling.

Venni: I don't really know what you're planning, but I'll take on your offer.

Okay, mission success!

Beniko pumps her fists as Venni stood up.

The whole room was tense for a moment, with everyone including Akio was staring at the two.

Akio: Venni, you...

Beniko went in front of Venni, in an attempt to protect him.

Beniko: Calm down, folks! Let me explain.

Akio went for Venni.

Everyone's pissed! Including Kanayama himself!

Akio: That was crazy as hell man!

Unlike Beniko thought, Akio was smiling in joy.

Akio: Thanks to the people downstairs, the Formula System was a success. And that battle from earlier was an absolute banger!

A child in the store spoke.

Mister, did you actually defeat Ilya?

Venni: I... don't really know actually. I just drove her Bey towards the wall.

Another one spoke up, smiling widely.

Still, what a way to beat her!

More people were crowding up to him.

Yeah, even though we like her as a Blader, she deserved that loss!

Mhm! The girl you were with was also quite brave. You just grabbed Ilya, of all people, by the collar!

Beniko: Eh? Oh, yeah! She totally deserved that Burst!

The people in the store were admiring both of them, especially Venni for his heroics earlier.

The children stopped talking and looked at Venni.

After Venni spoke, silence ensued for a moment before the rest of them spoke in unison.

Akio: The Formula System's gonna make waves! Just as what Takeru wanted.

Beniko: Yeah, definitely!

Akio: Where are you guys gonna go anyways?

Venni: I predicted that you'd go somewhere baseball-themed. Aside from Blading, you always talked about baseball back when were kids.

Beniko looked away in embarrassment, causing the bike to wobble a little.

Beniko recovered her bike immediately, letting off a sigh.

The two arrived in the aforementioned batting center, and they'd get off of the bike.

Venni: You said this wouldn't be that far.

Venni looked around for a moment, the batting center had a fair amount of people but wasn't too crowded, nor was it too empty. In contrast to the bustling streets of Odawara and Shiroyama, it was somewhat calming.

Venni: You know, this place seems quite peaceful.

Beniko: Of course it is! Let's go inside then!

They'd head for the center, with Beniko dragging Venni towards it.

Hopefully, he likes it.

Beniko and Venni enter the building.

Beniko: We're here!

On the side was a counter where the manager of the place was.

Beniko: Hey there, mister!

Oh, Beniko! It's been a while, how are you doing?

Beniko: I'm alright as always!

The old man was reading a newspaper, kicking his feet up.

Manager: Heh, you've really grown. And by the way, who's the boy?

Beniko: Oh, Venni? He's my best friend!

Manager: Best friend? I've never seen him before, how'd you meet him?

Beniko: Remember that time when I went abroad?

Manager: Oh... that was a really long time ago.

The old man smiled and rearranged his newspaper.

Manager: It also appears that you're from Europe, right?

Venni nodded his head.

Manager: You're not the type to talk that much, huh.

Venni: For the most part, maybe.

The manager looked at Venni with a little smile before reading his newspaper once more.

Manager: Well then, you guys can take your time in here.

Venni: I'll just go for the least amount.

Beniko: 20? Man, you're a wimp. 

Beniko chose the 65-ball option, the third one.

Beniko: Try plus 60!

Venni shrugged his shoulders, and just went along with it.

Venni: Alright then, Jackie Robinson.

They got into their respective cages and began batting.

Beniko: Now, come on!

The first ball was thrown at her and struck it with a good amount of strength.

That was a good one, now what about Venni?

Venni swung but missed on his first attempt.

Beniko: Oh, man... You suck, Venni!

Venni: Watch out for the balls.

Beniko: What?

Beniko's face was nearly grazed by a baseball that was thrown at her.

Beniko: Wah!

That was awfully close, I need to pay attention to what's being thrown at me!

Venni swung once more and struck with great force.

What the? That was strong!

Venni: I think I'm getting the hang of this.

The hang of this? He's still fresh?

Beniko: So that's your game, eh? Bring it on!

Beniko swung at the ball that was shot towards her, striking it quite far.

Later on, the two finished batting. 

I didn't count, but that's gotta be over 55.

Beniko: I underestimated you Ven-san, you're pretty good for a beginner!

Venni: You're quite good as well.

Venni lays his bat down.

Beniko: I'm a little tired, wanna go home now?

Venni: As much as I want to explore, maybe. 

Beniko stretched her arm out, before leaving.

Beniko: Okay, we'll be leaving, gramps!

Manager: Stay safe, you two!

The manager and Beniko waved each other goodbye.

My arms feel a little beat down from all of that.

Venni and Beniko leave the batting center.

Beniko: Since I'm kind of tired, do you know the route back home?

Venni raised his eyebrows looking at her.

Venni: Is this an excuse to be lazy?

Beniko: No!

She replied instantly, with an angry tone.

Venni: I sort of do.

That's a relief, I wanna go home now after all those antics.

Venni got on the bike and so did Beniko, yawning.

Venni: Off we go.

Venni kicked off the stand backward and pedaled forward, leaving the batting center.

Passing through the same route they went to earlier, they drove through the same places Venni admired earlier.

Venni: Say, Beniko.

Beniko: Hm?

Venni: Why did you bring me here?

Beniko remembered the battle from earlier, and how Venni went wild against Ilya.

Now, look at what you've done.

Unconsciously, she clung to Venni, which surprised him.

Venni: Why are you hugging me...?

Beniko: Don't go again.

Venni was confused for a moment.

Venni: What do you mean?

Beniko: I don't wanna see you act as you did earlier, don't do that again.

Beniko tightened her hug and closed her eyes.

Beniko: Please.

Venni: That probably won't be the last time you'll see that version of me but...

Venni looked at her with a little smile.

Venni: I'll try my best to keep things under control.

Beniko looked at him, then her face turned as red as a tomato.

W-wait, what am I doing?!

Beniko: W-what, why am I?

Beniko forcefully got off of him, causing the bike to wobble around a bit.

Venni: Stay still.

Venni regained balance of the bike, then the two sigh in relief.

Beniko: Seriously, what is wrong with you?!

Venni: You were the one clinging on to me though.

Beniko: Eh? I... just shut up!

Bickering about, they rode through the sunset.

This day... I feel like I'll remember this for a long time.

A while later, Venni dropped her off and left her bike with her.

Beniko: Well then, I'll see you soon.

Venni left and waved goodbye to her. As he left, Beniko was met with her mother on the front door.

Yuka: Beniko! What took you so long? It's night already!

Beniko scratched her head with a smile.

Beniko: Just went for a trip to a place I like.

Yuka pouted in frustration but sighed in dismay.

Yuka: Can you return before dark, please?

Beniko: Don't worry, I'll try to come back as soon as possible.

Yuka nodded and smiled, caressing her daughter's hair.

Yuka: Good to hear. And by the way, what did you do with Venni?

Yuka and Beniko enter the house.

Beniko: Oh, we just took a couple of swings at the old batting center in Shiroyama.

Yuka: Shiroyama? No wonder why you took so long.

Beniko: We did have a little fun though!

Not including the biking parts, my legs are dead from that.

Beniko remembered her clinging onto Venni, causing her to blush a bit.

I'm remembering this day, but I don't want to remember that...

Yuka: Your face is red, do you have a fever?

Beniko looked away from her mother instantly.

Yuka: Hm?

Beniko: N-no.

Yuka: Okay...?

[The next day...]

Beniko woke up with sore eyes, unlike her usual self which wakes up with great energy.

I couldn't sleep well yesterday... my legs hurt like hell...

Beniko moved her legs around, and it seemed fine.

Beniko: Oh, thank you! It's gone!

She got up from her bed immediately, filled with energy.

Beniko: Right! Good day, people!

Getting ready as always, she changed her clothes and got out of her room immediately.

Yuka: You're awfully energetic today, aren't you?

Beniko: Yeah! I'm gonna train hard today!

Beniko ate her breakfast quickly and just as she finished, someone opened the door.

Bad news!

Kyouka?

She seemed exhausted from running and was in a panic.

Kyouka: There's something wrong with the shop.

Beniko: What-

Kyouka interrupted her by running away.

Kyouka: Just hurry up!

Beniko followed her quickly and caught up with her.

Beniko: What happened?

Kyouka: I took a visit to Akio's shop and his workshop...

Kyouka's eyebrows furrowed.

Kyouka: His equipment was destroyed and the blueprints were torn down.

Beniko: What?!

Okay, we're in some serious trouble now... how the hell did this happen in the first place?

Beniko: Who did this?

Kyouka: I wouldn't know, but we're trying to look for him.

The two arrive at the shop where Takeru, Venni, and Akio were inside.

Akio: You two are here! You guys see anything?

Beniko: No, I just woke up you know?

Akio: Damn it! Just a day after its debut, now my stuff's been vandalized?

Venni: Do report this to the police?

Takeru: W-well, they may help but I-I feel like they'd sweep it under the rug due to how minor this is...

Beniko looked down with a serious expression on her face before she came up with an idea.

Beniko: Guys, this may sound dumb but let's try and split up!

Akio nodded.

Akio: Groups of two should work.

Beniko: We'll scour through the city and look for that prick!

The group agreed silently.

Venni: This incident happened quite early, so they shouldn't be that far off.

Venni walked towards the door.

Venni: So we're going with Beniko's idea, two people are going to chase after him and the rest of us will intercept their route.

Kyouka: That sounds like a good idea, but who's going to chase after them?

Venni looked back at the group.

Venni: It's obvious, isn't it? The ones with the best physical ability and the ones with the best memory of this place.

The group nodded in unison and they'd leave the shop, with Beniko & Akio going right and Takeru, Kyouka, & Venni to the left.

...

Both of them ran through the tight street around where Akio's shop was, then took another right turn through the parking lot.

Come on, where is this guy?

While walking, Akio's eyes widened.

Akio: I'm not entirely sure but... I think that guy might be our target.

Akio pointed towards a person.

Beniko: What?

Beniko looked towards where Akio was pointing and saw a person with a r[i]ed hoodie and ice blue hair. It also appeared that he was hiding his face.[/i]

Beniko: He does look suspicious, but are you sure this is the guy we're looking for?

Akio: Only one way to find out.

Akio called out to the person.

Akio: Hey, you! 

The person looked back towards Akio and raised his eyebrow, confused.

What? 

Akio: Did you happen to enter a shop for Beyblades earlier?

No, I'm just finished after having a walk.

His eyes, is this dude blind? He's not even facing Akio correctly.

Beniko: I think you've got the wrong person, this guy's blind.

Akio: Wait, really?

Akio looked at his eyes again and was surprised.

Akio: Oh, he is! Sorry man, I got the wrong idea!

It appears that you are looking for someone, and don't take my word for it but...

The boy pointed towards his back with his thumb.

You might be looking for him.

The person he was pointing towards had a mask on his face and blonde hair, upon being pointed at, he ran away as quickly as possible.

Blondie's making a run for it!

Akio: After 'em!

Beniko patted the blind boy's back.

Beniko: Thanks, man!

Beniko and Akio ran for the other person, leaving behind the blind boy.

I don't know how he pulled that off, but we've already found the guy who messed with Akio!

Akio: I'm comin' to get ya'!

The person they were chasing after ran through the street, near the bus station, and towards the fast-food joint.

Beniko: Through the fast-food joint!

As they were chasing him, they were nearly hit by a car that was passing, Beniko simply slid through its hood and continued her pursuit.

Akio: Get back here!

The other boy would then take a left turn and another right towards the tight shopping district where it was relatively crowded.

Beniko: A crowd!

Akio: We ain't stoppin' here!

Akio and Beniko plowed through the crowd the person entered, causing him to be alerted and run faster.

This little prick... I don't see this ending quite well.

When they least expected it, the person they were running for turned right into a tight alleyway.

Beniko: Where'd he go?!

Akio: Over here!

Akio led the way and went into the alleyway, Beniko then followed suit.

This guy's got a lot of stamina for someone who's got a mask on his face!

As they passed through the alleyway, Beniko's phone rang.

Who's calling right now? 

Beniko answered the phone.

Beniko: Not the best time right now, call back later!

Kyouka: Where are you two?

Beniko: We're in the alleyway leading into the brick road, near the shopping district!

Kyouka: Okay, we'll catch up with you there.

The call stopped and as it did, the boy took a right out of the alleyway and into the brick road.

Beniko: Son of a... get back here!

The boy ran straight through another crowd then into another tight alleyway, leading into an old apartment block.

I'm betting that he's gonna head for that apartment block!

Just as Beniko predicted, he went into the abandoned apartment block's stairs.

Beniko: Jackpot! Akio, follow him!

Akio: I got you!

Akio ran faster to catch up with the vandaliser, following him through the stairs.

Beniko: And I'm going to...

Beniko climbed up the railings, cornering the man they were chasing.

Akio: Get back here you piece of sh*t!

Akio was getting shaken off by the boy, him to slam the railings.

Akio: You!

Beniko: Ah!

The railings shook, causing Beniko to lose a bit of her balance.

Beniko: Careful there!

Akio: My bad.

They continued their pursuit, with Beniko on par with the boy's position.

Beniko: I've gotcha now!

Reaching the final flight, Beniko dived into the boy.

Hmph.

Instinctively, he dodged Beniko's dive. Beniko did recover immediately by rolling.

This is where it ends!

Standing over the edge, the boy stopped.

Beniko: You've got nowhere to go, pay for what you did!

Beniko looked at him with a mischievous grin.

Do you think I'm giving up easily? Heh.

The boy jumped off the edge.

Ah! He's jumping off!

Beniko ran for him, trying to grab his hand.

Beniko: What are you doing?! Hold on!

She barely missed and fell.

Beniko: No!

Beniko looked on in horror, but that expression changed immediately into one of shock.

What the? Impossible!

Even though he fell, his body was nowhere to be found.

Beniko: Where... did he go?

[Venni's Perspective]

Beniko hasn't called us yet, I'm just hoping they managed to find the person we were looking for.

Kyouka: Keep searching!

Venni's group looked around the overpass Beniko and Akio were in earlier.

Will this search ever end? I want to go home now.

Kyouka's phone rang.

Kyouka: Beniko?

Beniko's calling now? Hopefully, she found him.

Venni and Takeru approached Kyouka as she answered her phone.

Venni: Put it on loudspeaker.

Kyouka increased the phone's volume to let the others hear.

Beniko: Hey, are you there?

Kyouka: Yeah, what happened on your side?

Beniko: He slipped past us by jumping off a building!

A building? There's no way that happened.

Kyouka: H-how? Okay, never mind.

Akio joined in, speaking into the phone loudly.

Akio: He's gotta be near y'all! Stay sharp!

Venni: Thanks for the information, but you're too loud.

Looking around, they ended the call.

Venni: Just as Akio said, stay sharp. 

Kyouka: You don't need to tell me.

The group took an alternate route, going to the left towards a taxi agency.

Venni: Look all around you, he should be close by.

Kyouka: Close by? Beniko passed through the shopping district, so he should be-

Takeru: Over there!

Takeru interrupted her by pointing towards the stairs on the overpass, the thief was going down the stairs.

Kyouka: He's there?!

Venni: Doesn't matter, chase after him!

Kyouka and Takeru went up towards the overpass, alerting him and having him run away while Venni continued on his route in order to cut him off.

Venni: I'll get you, just watch.

Venni moved past the taxi agency and went to the other side of the stairs, staying there in order to try and catch him.

Any minute now...

Since Venni wore a hoodie, he put his hood over his face, concealing it as he leaned against the wall mid-way through the flight.

He'll arrive at any minute now.

He heard hurrying footsteps and Kyouka's voice close to him.

Kyouka (struggling): Get over here you... muppet!

Kyouka tried to grab him, but once again dodged. Venni was in front of him though.

Here's my chance!

Out of nowhere, Venni extended his foot, causing the thief to trip over and fall on the stairs, rolling on the stairs and landing flat on his face beneath the stairs with a loud thud.

That should take care of him.

Venni and his friends approached him, as he slowly rose up and revealed his shattered mask.

You dumb pricks! This thing cost me a lot you know?!

Venni: And I believe that you're going to lose more with what you did earlier.

The masked boy looked at him with his magenta-colored eye, which was exposed.

Venni: We intend to settle this peacefully, so I suggest doing so. If you don't have any right now, we'll set up a date for the payment.

Takeru and Kyouka just looked at Venni with awkward stares.

Kyouka: Is this how Finnish people usually act...?

Takeru: I-I'm not entirely sure... but this is somewhat like him though.

The thief looked down on the ground as he rose up.

Alright then, I'll pay.

Takeru sighed in relief, but Venni and Kyouka weren't buying it.

This guy's trying to come up with something.

As he stood up, he threw a piece of his shattered mask onto Venni's face, making him flinch a little.

Takeru: Ah, Venni!

I've got glasses on my face, you moron.

He ran away as quickly as possible and the group chased after him.

Kyouka: Making a run for it again, huh? You're not escaping this time!

The boy turned back while running, beckoning them to come with a hand gesture.

He's leading us...

Quietly, Venni muttered to himself.

Venni: What's this guy up to now?

Passing through the restaurants around the area, they plowed through the streets then were led towards a crossing where the thief took a right turn.

Come on, what's wrong with you? Follow me, slowpokes!

He taunted them as he turned around, before running faster.

Just as I thought, he's leading us somewhere.

Venni ran faster, paying his taunts no mind while Kyouka appeared to be somewhat annoyed.

Kyouka: Oh, I'll get you!

They went past a construction site and went straight before the thief turned once again, this time to the left.

Kyouka: Get back!

Going straight he ran through the road and the car park.

Kyouka: Is he even trying to shake us off?

Venni: No, he's making us follow him.

Kyouka looked at Venni for a moment and nodded.

Takeru: Where's he taking us to?

Venni: How should I know? He's leading us, not me.

The masked boy then ran into another alleyway next to a building that was in progress. Then through a small residential area around there towards the right.

We're almost there!

He said playfully, as they chased him through the houses and turned right, going straight then exiting the alleyways.

Almost there, he says. This masked man might have something up his sleeves.

He took another left turn straight into a car park for what seemed like the umpteenth time and led them towards an abandoned warehouse.

Now, prepare for the show.

He entered the building and the others eventually followed suit.

There's nothing in here...

The warehouse was vacant and somewhat dark, it was only illuminated by the sunlight as well. 

Welcome.

The boy cackled as he stood in front of a large stadium.

Kyouka: A stadium...

Venni: You're going to challenge us to a battle, I assume?

The person looked at him in a menacing manner and nodded.

Precisely.

He turned around and spun slowly.

Now, where are my manners? My name is Naizen Mikage.

He grabbed something out of his pocket, and he revealed it to be his Beyblade.

An elliptical Attack-type... but why does he need to show off his Bey?

Naizen: And I suppose the two gentlemen standing here would be Venni Lehtinen and Takeru Miyazono, am I not wrong?

Takeru and Venni looked at each other before nodding at him.

Venni: Yes, we are.

Naizen's eyes widened and he began to laugh crazily.

Naizen: HAHA! Yes! I've been dying to meet you!

Naizen pointed towards him.

Naizen: And thankfully, we've met immediately!

Venni's group was slightly disturbed.

Takeru: This guy's bad news.

Naizen (chuckling): Of course I am!

I don't feel comfortable around him, I don't think Takeru and Kyouka do too.

Naizen grabbed his launcher and held it in his right hand, placing his Beyblade on it.

Takeru: You intended to challenge Venni? Why did you destroy our workshop then?!

Naizen swept his hair to the right.

Naizen: I believe you guys belong to Kaiten HS. Am I right?

Takeru: Yes-

Naizen (screaming): AM I RIGHT?!

Takeru was startled as Naizen's voice echoed throughout the warehouse.

Takeru: Y-yes!

Venni stood in front of Takeru.

Venni: Stop that, you're scaring him.

Naizen: Well, I'm sorry for this, sorry for what I've done earlier, and sorry for what I will say in advance.

Venni slightly furrowed his eyebrows and looked at him with a serious expression.

Naizen: I won't let trash like you...

Naizen raised his voice.

Naizen (screaming): Get in the way of Tozakura! 

The group's eyes widened as Naizen calmed down.

Naizen: Or something along those lines, blah, blah, blah. Let's just get on with it!

Naizen got into position, crouching. As Kyouka heard this, she chuckled.

Kyouka: Tozakura, huh? What are you rich softies gonna do about SAGA?

Tozakura? SAGA? The hell are those?

Naizen: SAGA?! Don't make me laugh, are you sure a measly girl's academy is gonna beat our POWER?

Venni: Hey, mind if you tell me what's going on?

Naizen: I'm tired of explaining now, and so is Nemesis.

Takeru and Venni got into position.

Kyouka: Well, frankly dear... I don't give a damn.

Kyouka smiled in a sinister way.

They refused to explain to me. But is this because of the Formula System's creation?

Takeru: So we're somehow involved in this now?

Venni: Yeah, maybe whether we like it or not.

Naizen: 3 against 1? This should be fun. Now, come at me! 

(In unison): Three, two, one... go shoot!

All four Beys landed onto the stadium with minimal stamina loss, all of them raced around the banking.

Kyouka: Get out of here.

Kalliope slightly swerved to the right to gain momentum then crashed into Nemesis which was on its left, slowing it down and allowing Kalliope to bounce to the center without anyone in her team being affected.

Naizen: Clever girl, that's not gonna stop me though!

Nemesis regains balance immediately and tilts at an angle where its free-spinning tip fits in with the banking, letting it spontaneously gain a huge amount of speed.

Venni: Watch your six!

Takeru noticed immediately and had his Bey move out of the way but it was too late, Nemesis was already behind it.

Naizen: Oblivion Upper!

With great force, Tennin was lifted upwards.

Takeru: Tennin, watch it!

Its metal balls shifted towards the left allowing it to steer a little bit back on top of the stadium walls.

Takeru: Way too close...

Tennin tried to rejoin the stadium but Nemesis was under Tennin, making a mad charge for it.

Naizen: I'm not done yet!

Vainamoinen charged towards Nemesis out of nowhere too.

Venni: We're just starting.

Tennin was nearly scratched by Nemesis, and it would've been a full impact had Vainamoinen not hit it from the side.

Takeru: Nice save!

Vainamoinen pushed Nemesis against the wall, but the upper blades on it slipped in between its disc, pushing it off to the side and allowing it to charge towards Kalliope.

Kyouka: You're not getting through this!

Nemesis slipped past Kalliope and came back again immediately to strike it again, where Naizen used its free-spinning Blade to boost its speed.

Kyouka: Venni!

Vainamoinen was riding along with the banking and tilted at an angle, allowing it to parry Nemesis' incoming attack.

Venni: You're just randomly attacking everyone.

Naizen: Or so you think.

Strongly, Nemesis pushed against Vainamoinen causing it to bounce off into Kalliope and slip past once more, where it picked up more speed to strike into Tennin.

Naizen: Hah!

Takeru: Prepare!

Tennin was hit by a strong attack, hindering its movement.

Venni: Just hold on.

Nemesis appeared in front of Vainamoinen immediately, where it hit it and hindered its speed before once again ricocheting off of Vainamoinen and into Tennin.

He's fast and strong... so his plan was to pin us all down?

Naizen: Randomly attacking, you say?

Venni: What?

Naizen: I remember seeing a show in the past, and a character said this as he was in prison...

Naizen squinted a little, before speaking.

Naizen: "I'm not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with me." Well, that's exactly what's happening right now.

This person seems smarter than he is.

Yeah, as if that wasn't obvious enough.

Looks like he's faking it, but I suppose that does not matter to you now.

It's interesting, but that's none of my concern.

As expected. Now then, time to take drastic measures.

Drastic measures, eh? Let's do this.

Nemesis kept pummeling the three Beys over and over again, gradually picking up speed.

Takeru: Uh... Venni? Do you have a plan?

Venni: Yeah, just wait for it.

Nemesis kept on going and got stronger with each hit.

Naizen: Don't tell me that's all you got!

Venni: I'm not holding back though, it's not like I care about winning this or not.

Naizen clenched his fists and his pupils became smaller.

Naizen: I know that's not all of it!

He then wrapped himself with his arms.

Naizen: Show me that power you showed against Ilya Mao! Let me feel the terror you gave her!

Naizen stretched out his arms as Venni gave him a blank stare, unimpressed by his antics.

I don't like this guy, for different reasons.

Nemesis charged towards Vainamoinen for the umpteenth time and this time, it got caught between the gap of Vainamoinen's blades.

Takeru: Yes!

Naizen: Come on, more!

Gripping the floor with its rubber ring, Vainamoinen grappled Nemesis and sent it into the wall, where its spring-loaded Blade would compress and allow it to bounce off of Nemesis and towards the center.

Kyouka: I think I've had enough of sitting in the center, give me a lift Venni!

Venni nodded and went behind Kalliope, shooting it towards Nemesis.

Kyouka: Kalliope!

Kalliope grabbed Nemesis as well just as it was about to recover and dragged it across the wall with its free-spinning Blade.

Kyouka: What do you think of me now?

Naizen: An annoyance, that's what you are!

Kyouka grinned, but she was seemingly irritated.

Kyouka: This little sh*t...

Kalliope pressed harder, giving Tennin ample time to recover.

Takeru: We're not getting left behind here! Come on, Tennin!

Tennin dashed for Nemesis in front of it, making Kalliope pass it onto him.

Naizen: Still going at it, huh?

Takeru nodded as Naizen looked on with some amusement.

Naizen: You'd make for a good Blader over here in Tozakura, but you've already enrolled to somewhere else so, that's a shame.

Nemesis knocked Tennin back into the center and followed it up with another attack, immediately Tennin evaded by veering left and curving back into Nemesis to push it into Kalliope, who was lying in wait.

Naizen: Ugh, you again?

Kyouka: That's my line.

With wind surrounding its Blade, it crashed into Nemesis, lifting it into the air where it was vulnerable.

Kyouka: Capriccio Melody!

He's open for attacks, go ahead and take your shot.

Vainamoinen tilted and let more rubber come into contact with the floor, allowing it to spontaneously pick up more speed as it crashed towards Nemesis.

Venni: Trigger Break.

He spoke in a monotone way as Nemesis was blown out of the stadium, making a metallic noise as it landed on the ground.

Kyouka: Nice! 

Takeru: That was some good teamwork.

Venni's expression remained the same, and Naizen began clapping slowly.

Naizen: Good job, good teamwork!

He shook his head as he picked his Bey up.

Naizen: But, this is a fight!

Naizen raised his voice.

Venni: I'm fully aware of that.

Naizen and Venni spoke in unison, with Naizen speaking loudly.

(In unison): It's not over yet.

Everyone got into position once more.

His Bey is called Nemesis... and as far as I remember a Blader named Norman Tarver owned that Bey.

Do you remember about it? That might prove vital to this battle.

Yes, the old one was able to switch between blades that slope downwards for Upper Attacks and blunt blades for Smash Attacks. So it's safe to assume he uses the same gimmick. It was shattered by Shu Kurenai though.

I see, but please stay cautious because this boy is a different person.

I know, I know. Even though all three of us are annoyed by him, he has great strength to back him up.

Naizen: Round two, baby!

(In unison): Three, two, one... go shoot!

All four Beys were launched in unison into the stadium for the second round, and this time both Tennin and Kalliope took the center.

What's this?

Venni: You didn't tell me about what you two were planning.

Kyouka: Just leave it and take care of the outside.

Takeru: We'll handle this!

Kalliope remained stationary in the center and Tennin spun around it, sticking to its Blade.

Naizen: You do realize both of your Beys spin clockwise, hmm?

Kyouka paid no mind and just smiled at him.

Kyouka: What's wrong? Are you getting scared now?

Naizen: No, I'm just saying that...

Nemesis tilted, allowing the reinforced metal on its free-spinning tip to grind against the floor.

Naizen: That might backfire.

Nemesis dashed at them with blindingly fast speed, blasting the two of them mid-air. As they did, Kyouka glanced at Venni trying to signal something to him.

What kind of strategy is this even...? I'll just go along with it, damn.

Vainamoinen appeared from behind quickly, colliding with Nemesis.

Naizen: What kind of plan are you guys even doing?

Venni: I have no idea, but it's a little effective.

Tennin and Kalliope landed back into the stadium immediately, where they'd line up in front of Vainamoinen to push it against the wall.

Takeru: Push more!

All four Beys reached the wall, where they surrounded Nemesis and pinned it down to the wall.

Kyouka: Sorry about this, blondie. But we intend to end this quickly!

Naizen only stared at them, unamused.

Naizen: End this? We're not even at the good part yet!

Takeru: We'll make sure you won't reach it!

The three Beys pushed harder against Nemesis.

Naizen: With your performance right about now... it's bound to be here anytime soon.

One of Vainamoinen's blades got caught onto the rear side of Nemesis' upper blades, pushing them into place and unveiling claws in place of the serpentine upper blades it had.

Exactly what it was! 

Venni: Brace yourselves!

Nemesis' blades were engulfed in a dark purple aura.

Naizen: Oblivion's Hammer!

Nemesis pushed them all away with great force, leaving behind a black and purple shockwave as an after-effect.

Kyouka: Gah! Kalliope!

The other two Beys were left wobbling around for a moment while Vainamoinen recovered fine as it landed.

Naizen: So you're the only one remaining now? Perfect!

Vainamoinen and Nemesis collided with each other, but Nemesis' power seemed to be increased three-fold.

Just as things could get any worse, he's gotten even stronger. 

Let's just try to end this quickly.

Venni: Retaliate!

Vainamoinen turned towards the left just as Nemesis charged at it, allowing Vainamoinen to hit Nemesis from behind three times.

Naizen: Good! My turn!

Nemesis then turned back into Vainamoinen, pushing it back with great force then following up with a second hit, which Vainamoinen barely evades.

Naizen: Ooh, close!

Gaining enough momentum, both of them rode on the banking for a short while before sending a barrage of attacks to one another.

Takeru: I'm not done yet!

Earlier, Tennin recovered its balance and so did Kalliope.

Kyouka: Yeah, we're not done either!

Naizen: Here it is, here comes the climax of this battle!

Tennin interfered with their clash, giving Vainamoinen some breathing room.

Takeru: Skyline Counter!

Tennin's wings were pushed out, knocking Nemesis into Kalliope who was racing around the stadium with breakneck speeds.

Kyouka: Do me a favor and get out of here!

Kalliope pushed Nemesis off to the right but left a large enough gap between them for Nemesis to ricochet into Kalliope.

Naizen: Moron!

Kalliope was sent flying into the wall upside-down, killing all its stamina.

Kyouka: Ah! Sorry guys, you're on your own now!

(In unison): You don't need to tell us!

Tennin, Vainamoinen, and Nemesis all met up in the center then clashed against each other.

Naizen: The guy who lost against Ilya isn't half-bad as well, he's really giving me a run for my money.

Nemesis charged towards Tennin, sending it flying out of the stadium.

Takeru: Tennin!

Naizen: I overestimated you, never mind.

Venni: I'm still alive.

Vainamoinen hit Nemesis in its blind spot, but that just pushed it to go faster and head towards the banking, its free-spinning tip grinding against the floor, making it even faster.

Venni: So that's what you're up to?

Vainmoinen took the center and gradually built up strength, producing a pulsing, blue aura as it stood stationary.

Naizen: Nemesis!

Vainamoinen prepared to defend against Nemesis in the center.

Venni: Vainamoinen! Get ready.

Nemesis closed in on Vainamoinen, but just as it did someone else entered the warehouse.

A battle, from what I can hear. This is gonna be fun.

He then launched a mist blue Bey into the stadium, blocking off Nemesis.

Naizen: So it's you, Izayoi.

Oblivion Nemesis Polestar Titanium Destroy-13NM:
Oblivion Nemesis is a Right-spinning Attack-type that features an elliptical shape and two large blades that are split into two parts and can be shifted forward or backward to change its performance. Normally, it's set Upper Mode where the blades slope downwards and unveil a spiky, serpentine head to deal Upper Attacks and when it's set in Smash Mode, claws reminiscent to that of a skeletal hand take the place of the serpent heads and provide smash attack because of its blunt contact points. Polestar is an octagonal DB Disc that features 8 triangular protrusions, four of which stick out more than the others and four of which support the gaps they're on. Titanium Destroy is the Titanium variant of  Destroy, an Attack-type Driver that features an 8-pointed flat tip surrounded by a free-spinning ring. This time, however, the outside of the ring is covered in metal and so is the star tip, now having a star-shaped depression in its center while also having a second spring accompanying the golden spring Metal/Dash Drivers typically have, increasing Burst Resistance.

Orichalcum gimmick was all about OWD, the layer would extend when spinning fast and increase burst resistance. although becoming quite oval as a weakness.
The disc was Outer, very OWD focused afaik.
The driver was Octa, it directly synergies with the layer since the layer grabs its teeth-y design to increase burst resistance. The driver has a sharp tip surrounded by metal.

I have some guesses on the layer alone:
1st: Phantasm could be just a direct adaptation of Orichalcum, no difference.
2nd: Instead of Oval, the layer just becomes wider in all directions with 4 gaps  between each segment that could be used as a weakness by some beys.
3rd: It just has OWD.
The core:
I'd assume it would have weak teeth if Phantasm has the aforementioned gimmick and because stamina type, but not completely sure.
Disc:
Only part where I'm confident on. For me it will be just circular disc with OWD, maybe good LAD idk. That's the base, because it can very well have fancy gimmick too.
Driver:
The part I have no clue on. You could very well do an Octa variant like metal Octa or just make another part. What I have sure on is that IF you add the OG gimmick, the driver will have a teeth-y design for the gimmick, like Octa. Either way I see a sharp tip, maybe metal, and maybe teeth-like design

This part is how I think a combo like this above would perform:
If it happens as I tried to predict, the combo would have good same spin stamina and ok-to-bad opposite spin.
It would be easy to throw around but hard to burst at the beginning (unless oval shape, in this case it would be only somewhat harder to burst) and will be weakened by the slow loss of spin. Fortunately, the low friction with the stadium and great OWD makes this same spin bey hard to slow down by time alone, forcing contact. The combo is fairly easy to knock off balance due to the sharp tip.
