it could be something as small as pickpocketing someone or as large as raiding a town or something.

What are some of your pet peeves when it comes to fanfics? I personally hate it when people Think their characters are interesting just because they're OCs (Example BladerUmar's fanfic) and I also hate when someone has an english first name and an Japanese last name.
