RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Temporal - Jul. 29, 2011 I did say that I was a skeptic. I am in no way judging anyone, I simply pointed out what seems to be the popular occurrence at 13. Though, yes I do seem like a jerk. Eh, I stink at articulating these points, apparently. Okay, I will simply not post on such matters anymore, as they tend to annoy people. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Temporal - Jul. 29, 2011 Okay, that WAS going overboard, and I have nothing to say about that. I tend to run my mouth a bit much, so I'll just not reply to posts that involve age. Point taken. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - dark Warrior - Jul. 29, 2011 my girl freind is very very hot like crazy RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - NoodooSoup - Jul. 30, 2011 Okay. I just hope that's not the only thing defining your relationship. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - th!nk - Jul. 30, 2011 Dammit, Kai-V, your mind connects the dots greater than I ever could. Well spotted, though I was implying he may not be being truthful. I'm pretty certain this is the case here, not because he actually finds her "hot" and just misunderstood that that is not a synonym for "cute" or "beautiful". RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - th!nk - Jul. 30, 2011 Ya know what I need to do? Get my drivers license. Then I can take people on interesting dates (which covers up my inherent dull, tiresome nature). Okay, maybe I'm being too negative about me, but anyway. I should set a target for at least starting to learn to drive though, because it'd mean I'd at least be able to go places and have stuff to talk about. Plus, public transport is not romantic. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - bugturtles - Jul. 30, 2011 give her a ride on a motorcycle chicks dig motorcycles RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Deikailo - Jul. 30, 2011 (Jul. 30, 2011 8:02 PM)th!nk Wrote: Ya know what I need to do? I have a car, I had money, and every girl I had an iota of interest in started using me for my car and money. Don't fall into that trap. Sometimes she's got to work for you, bro. So, this explanation is a synonym for them being idiots anyway. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Annoying-Fork - Jul. 31, 2011 Insight is sometimes better than using one word to describe an age group or group of people in general. But I digress you have an unbeatable point there. I'm pretty certain this is the case here, not because he actually finds her "hot" and just misunderstood that that is not a synonym for "cute" or "beautiful". Every culture varies. If you go into bad parts of brooklyn, for example, kids will have already done things I've waited 21 years to do by time they are seven because they hear it discussed so casually or have seen it. Even in my home town, some of the South Americans who immigrate here strongly believe in teenage pregnancy. It's become a high problem now for my old high school and the nurses/teachers don't understand the culture enough to tell what's going on. It's just upbringing and perception, really. After all what or who truly determines right or wrong in the end? RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - Kai-V - Jul. 31, 2011 When you do not think about what you are doing or what you are saying, for me that is being idiotic. Imitating is not always idiotic, but doing it blindly without thinking is. RE: Boy/girl friend Thread - th!nk - Jul. 31, 2011 They are children, imitation is a stage that the developing mind goes through. It has a lot of beneficial effects with learning, but there are obvious downsides. It's part of being a child, even if it is irritating for the rest of us.
