RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion - Spring 2010 (Toys) Fall 2010 (Anime) - To - Dec. 25, 2009 Yeah, I would assume they'd be pimping this out every chance they get (get the hype train going early). All the work is done for them, except promotion. While I can't say it means they lack faith in the line, I can say it looks suspect. Especially considering their main competitor for next year, Battle Strikers, has had a heavy presence at every toy show for the past while ... I never really thought of it like this, but no, there has been no presence of Beyblade: Metal Fusion at any trade shows. Either they are really really behind or they do not have much faith or investment in the line. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion - Spring 2010 (Toys) Fall 2010 (Anime) - To - Dec. 25, 2009 Also, I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but Hasbro now owns Discovery Kids in the US. They're in the process of rebranding it. I don't want to sound grim, but if BMF airs there, the chance for success would be a lot lower then if it were to air on Cartoon Network, or Disney XD. As it stands, Hasbro really isn't pulling their weight. Nelvana is doing their job bringing the show to various TV conferences. The only reason I can see Hasbro being so reluctant is due to a fear of competing with yourself too much for toy isle space. They have the two largest brands in boy toys, do they really want to give up much space for a property they don't fully own? I remember hearing about this -- and being depressed about it -- but I would be shocked if BMF aired there. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion - Spring 2010 (Toys) Fall 2010 (Anime) - To - Dec. 25, 2009 Word on the street is that Cartoon Network killed Transformers: Animated not because of bad ratings, but because Hasbro was moving the franchise to their channel (along with GI Joe, and My Little Pony...). Obviously Nelvana has the final say as to where Metal Fusion ends up on TV in the US, and hopefully they'll choose a venue that is more then adequate. Also interesting to note though, is that Nelvana parent company, Corus Entertainment, owns Discovery Kids in Canada. Even more interesting to note is that Discovery Kids Canada was discontinued months after Hasbro announced their purchase of the US channel, and replaced by Nickelodeon Canada (under the same channel number, but under a different CRTC broadcast license). That said, Corus's website confirmed Metal Fusion is going to air on YTV in Canada. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion - Spring 2010 (Toys) Fall 2010 (Anime) - yusei fudo - Dec. 25, 2009 I do not think hasbro does not trust the line, they do not want to bargain their already selling toys. they will first test the waters and then focus on it. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion - Spring 2010 (Toys) Fall 2010 (Anime) - Ashari - Dec. 25, 2009 i hope they release cyber pegasis like in a box not a game RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion - Spring 2010 (Toys) Fall 2010 (Anime) - yusei fudo - Dec. 25, 2009 (Dec. 25, 2009 8:51 AM)Ashari Wrote: i hope they release cyber pegasis like in a box not a game The whole point of cyber pegasis is to help the sales of the game... RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion - Spring 2010 (Toys) Fall 2010 (Anime) - theflightyellz - Jan. 11, 2010 Me, e-mailed hasbro a while ago about the release of certain beyblades (quetz in particular), and they said they couldn't share any information about the upcoming line until its release in February. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion - Spring 2010 (Toys) Fall 2010 (Anime) - Bey Brad - Jan. 11, 2010 That is not what they said. They said they would have full info in February. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion - Spring 2010 (Toys) Fall 2010 (Anime) - theflightyellz - Jan. 11, 2010 "Thank you for your email regarding the Beyblade range of products. At Hasbro we appreciate the popularity of our products and the excitement of future product releases. Unfortunately at this time we are unable to comment on future product releases. You are more than welcome to contact us in February when we hope to have the range information to share with you." Meaning that Beyblade should no longer be a future product release in February. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion - Spring 2010 (Toys) Fall 2010 (Anime) - Kai-V - Jan. 11, 2010 To me that still only means that they will start revealing things in February, compared to the current situation where they are practically inexistent even in toy fairs ...
