Really liked the episode because it was simple but fun to watch. They actually tried to make the filler moments funnier and more entertaining as opposed to idly wasting time. The battle animation seems to be a bit better and the intensity has noticeably increased too! Basara seems like a fun guy and I believe they were going for the “worrying” type with him. Bell is really interesting as well. I love the whole demonic facade, really unique character trait. One thing to note is that Bell is definitely no amateur whatsoever. His sparking shoot seems to be on a whole new level, his utilization of his bey’s capabilities and powers is perfect, and he already has communication level resonance with Belial. Bell and Belial seem a lot more like casual best friends as opposed to serious partners which is a fun and loveable twist. He practically had Lui at his feet throughout their battle and was honestly just toying with him all while tanking his special moves and constantly keeping him on edge (p.s, love Lui’s new design). I have no clue which direction the series is going in but it looks really fun.

I have no idea how to feel about DB's opening to be honest. The singing ranges from being fine to sounding really weird, though it does sound like something I would hear from cheesy Halloween specials in animated shows so I guess it works. Plus, the music is quite good.
It'll definitely take time to get used to, much like when I first heard Gachi's opening.
RE: Beyblade Burst DB Episode #1 (April 2, 2021) - i'm batman - Apr. 02, 2021
Alright, I've got quite a bit to say.
First off, I dunno about Bell, but that narrator is MOST DEFINITELY evil.
Love the opening, visuals are great, song is great. That shot with Valkyrie diving and changing to Goodman (that's the guy's name, right?) makes me think he has some connection to Valt beside kind of physically resembling him. Bell flying on Belial's back looked cool, too. Might displace Chouzetsu Muteki Blader as my fav.
Moving on to the episode itself, I cannot say I like it better than Sparking's 1st, due to the return of the legends, but it's incredibly close. We see it mostly from Basara's POV, and we're not introduced to Bell until later. BTW, he calls himself Suiryuu Basara, which means his given name is Basara (as long as he's Japanese), which means his bey's name should start with B. Maybe he'll get a new bey later. I just thought Suiryuu was his given name before and maybe he would get a Solomon evolution. Can someone please clear this up for me? Also, Basara's launch form looked like a clone of Fubuki's. It was nice to see B.C.Sol again, I must say. I don't think we've seen that training room (which is also Free's chilling room) since God. I said this somewhere before and I'll say it again, both Dynamite Belial and its avatar look SICK. What was Bell's special move though? Was it Dynamite Bomber?

Without much spoiling the episode I think this episode is pretty good and the majority of fans liked it while some hate it (2 ppl so far). The CG definitely a step up from choZ-sparking and the animation it's a pretty good also i love the op animation and song wise. Overall this season gives me a fun (and buddyfight+digimon) vibes And i hope this season got executed better than gt and sparking

This was a great start and there were so many things I liked:
(episode 1+2 spoilers)
· The opening is fire. The animation fits it and it's much better than the one GT or Sparking had.
· They're not pretending the beys from the previous generation don't exist. Not only were there two full battles with sparking beys but there's Brave in the opening?!
· I already love Basara and Hanna. They're absolutely hilarious together.
· Hanami starting to commentate a pretty much random battle out of nowhere just because he felt like it.
· The grandpa. He's so weird in a good way.
· The battle in the second episode being quite long. I expected Bell to crush Lui right after he used the first Raging Upper but it went on for a bit longer, and for a moment Bell seemed to be taken aback. Since it was a new series bey vs an old series bey I expected Lui to get absolutely demolished, but it was actually pretty close.
· Bellial went beneath Longinus so he couldn't upper him. I-is that... actual strategy...in MY flare anime??!

Beyblade Burst DB - Episode 1-2 (Review)
This was a pretty good start to the series, it leaves a cool first impression and it gives us something more unique. A haunted house setting with a bunch of kids who were scared away after exploring it, because it was just that scary (it isn't, of course haha). It's a fun starting premise and the scenes where they were all running out of the mansion scared was funny.
I liked seeing the spotlight going towards the side characters like Basara and Hanna first, as we get to know them for a bit and it builds up the tension for Bael's introduction. I like that Basara is the timid but sensible one, but is protective of his sister Hanna when she becomes too reckless. Hanna isn't that interesting but she's thankfully not as annoying as Takane or Chuck, and her being braver and more adventurous at least gives her a bit of purpose (introducing Basara to Bael, unintentionally).
Bael is a pretty fun main character so far, playing pranks to scare people away from his house. He reminds me of Hearts/Hyde, due to both being bombastic bladers who live in a mansion (or castle in Hearts case) full of traps, they like to tease newcomers and both own dark demon-themed beys. Also, instead of having him being some newbie, Bael is talented from the get go with incredible skills and an advanced system bey as well. It does explain why he can defeat top ranked bladers like Lui so early so the people who complain about new main characters winning against legends with "plot armour" should have nothing to fear, it's understandable why he won against him. Besides, Lui will be back and most likely with a new DB Longinus.
I also like Bael's butler, he just seems like a very nice guy who plays pranks on Bael just as much as Bael does to him.
The battles were pretty good, though I'm a bit disappointed with the launch sequences. In Sparking, whenever a bey is launched they land on the ground and make a huge impact towards the stadium floor which I thought was really cool. It didn't happen with Bael and his bey, which is a shame. This is a nitpick though, not a knock against the season. However, I like that the legends still owned Sparking beys, so it doesn't feel like they're pretending the past systems don't exist outside of amateur bladers.
Overall, it's pretty fun episode and leaves a good first impression. I'm not sure if this means the season will be good, I mean Sparking had a great first episode and well... I thought that season had a lot of problems. However, this is a fresh start (mostly) so hopefully we'll see something fun this season.

Ill like to mention that the animation of when the sparking beys land is still present( death solomon and rage longinuos both have those animations. Dynamite Belial Does not have those for a reason ; it is much lighter than sparking beys( both death solomon and rage longinous were knocking Belial back and forth). This was also emphasised in the anime. Pay close attention to the scenes again.

You know what I like about Bell? The guy actually has personality. He’s not some generic incompetent anime protagonist, but rather a dimensional character. They really tried to add realistic characteristics and concepts to his personality and he differed a lot from past protagonists so I can wholeheartedly say that it was a good first impression on me. As you said, Bell is already a good blader and I think that’s great since we get a new perspective. They also made sure to make him a competent strategist and reactive blader which makes him all the more better. That isn’t even it either, not only does he already have near-perfect resonance with Belial, but they have a much more casual, friendly “bro” type relationship which is honestly so much cooler than that formal stern approach. Now let’s compile everything shall we? He has actual skill and strategy (doesn’t just scream, shout “zoom zoom” and magically win/compete), has great resonance (that 15 seconds alone is already enough to compare his resonance to Hyuga and Hikaru since those guys hardly got any resonance at all), Has an actual personality besides being an overly enthusiastic idoliser, and comes from a genuinely interesting setting. What reason do we have to not like this guy more than Hyuga and Hikaru (this is a rhetorical question, I know you didn’t say you liked those two more)? Frankly, I totally forgot about the bros while watching this episode and I wouldn’t mind it staying that way.

Ah, I guess that probably explains why Death Solomon and Rage Longinus keep knocking back Dynamite Belial, though I was initially under the impression that he did it to toy with them or show off his bey's greater stamina compared to the two (akin to when Kyouya from MFB was knockong Libra off balance and Yu seemingly panicked, only to reveal he was just toying with him).
Thanks for clearing that up. But my point still stands, I wish we had a cool landing sequence for Belial. I was never expecting the same as Sparking, but something unique.

Yeah, I'm liking Bell more than the Asahi bros. He has a unique but still a very fun personality, and he's probably the first wealthy kid as a main character. Not that it affects anything, but it makes him stand out (as well as his demon persona).
And I agree, I love the bond between Bell and Belial's avatar already. They're just like best buddies already, which makes their resonance moments more fun and unique and shows how far Bell has come already in before his debut. He's also not a complete idiot like Hyuga was at the beginning, so that's really cool.

I liked it, it’s slice of life like and also kind of intense. Reminds me of Future Card Buddyfight Ace, or a mix between MFB and Gachi. I wish they kept in Kenji though, cause then we could see what Bell is really like right away.
RE: Beyblade Burst DB Episode #1 (April 2, 2021) - PinkRose - Apr. 02, 2021
Aight so, just finished watching Episodes 1 & 2, and here are my thoughts:
The opening was LIT! The visuals are pretty awesome (I especially love the shot where Bell's riding on Belial's back and the one with Brave dropping down and transitioning to Rashad before the opening ends, looks amazing).
The first episode was really funny at the start, with the part where the three kids are running away (that was hilarious), the various shenanigans with Basara and Hannah (that's how you spell her name, right?), and Bell's introduction. Speaking of Bell, I really like his mischievous personality. He has a big ego, sure, but he has the skill to back it up and that's cool (plus he's already best buddies with Belial, I'm all in for that kind of resonance). Basara's a nice character too, he sounds like a sensible but nervous kid who doesn't like failure but doesn't let that stop him from trying. Hannah...she's okay. I mean, she's about as good as Nika or Naru, but nothing too special. I do like that she basically kickstarted the plot by introducing Basara to Bell tho, and it was also nice that they started the series with more focus on the side character then switched to Bell's point of view in Ep 2.
The butler person is weeiiird, but hey, he's funny. Also, Bell likes chocolate-chip cookies. He's now one of my top 10 character just for that.
The battles are pretty awesome and well-animated (but like LOL-y Rancher said, I'm kinda sad they took away the SMACK! landing effect the Sparking Beys had due to the weight difference) and I love how Bell actually earned his win against Lui. He came up with a legitimate strategy to counter Raging Upper instead of just plot-armoring his way to victory, that's neat. And heck, Lui fought well too and it looked like it'd go either way for a second there, that is also neat.
Overall, pretty good start and I'm looking forward to what's next. Pleeeeeeaaaaaase keep up the writing quality in later episodes writers, I'm literally begging you.

My Reveiw 1 and 2
The episodes was amazing.
Both 10/10
First one wasn't really much too it but I liked the battle, also I like the death solomon. Bell is a very good charceter, I like his personality, his design is good, also his voice. THEY finally make the protagonist STRONG the start of the season, I mean, he beat Lui.
The battle was very good, Lui wasn't able to do a damm single thing that made Bell really worried
The new ragging upper animation is bad as hell, I don't know why they changed it but it was garbage
Lui's face after he lost was soo funny. I knew he was going to lose 0-2.

Wasn't Aiga strong at the beginning of Cho-Z?

Let's start with the opening. It's pretty decent, it's got a nice rock theme and a good amount of energy to it. Oddly enough, it sounds... nostalgic to me, I can't explain it but it sounds like a classic kids anime opening from the early 2000's. I'm not used to it yet so it hasn't fully caught on to me, but like any other openings, a few listens and I'll remember it, so I won't fault the opening for that.
Now, let's talk about Bell, I am liking him so far. Bell feels different from the other protagonists. He's not just another lame "idiot hot head rookie", this one is slightly more mischievous, he's very cocky and confident and has a fun personality. The closest resemblance he has is to Aiga, both being very cocky. However, whereas Aiga became a super talented blader in a seemingly short time after being a rookie, Bell is actually talented from the start of the series, so his amazing victories feel justified. He also seeks powerful bladers to battle, it seems. This is just my impressions with him so far, and I hope to see more from them and their character.
Anyway, the plot revolves around two kids, Basara and Hanna explore a creepy looking mansion, the standard, kids wandering around creepy mansion type plot. I must say that the mansion setting and the green skies looks great, I genuinely dig the setting and it's very vibrant. I like that Hanna is the one who's more brave, despite most likely being younger.
The mansion itself isn't that creepy looking, it's actually very clean, but it is justified since this is Bell's house. Bell scares the two and drops them into the arena room via a trap door, it certainly has a spooky game show feel and I like it. Bell challenges Basara and... well... obviously wins, considering Basara uses a previous system bey and isn't Valt levels of skilled.
The next episode focuses on Bell vs Lui, Lui still uses Rage Longinus which is so weird, but only because Burst rarely ever crossgens outside of generic bladers, and honestly, we need more crossgen battles. Lui does pretty well against Bell by uppercutting him constantly, but Bell does end up being able to counter Raging Upper and beats Lui. This is the earliest loss Lui has ever faced in a season, earlier than Chouzetsu and Sparking, and the first time he lost in his debut battle in the series too. It makes sense, Lui is using a more than likely inferior beyblade (in-universe I mean).
I don't mind this loss with Lui because, again, Lui isn't using a current gen system (in-universe, new gen beats previous gen most of the time), and Bell is established to be talented, not a rookie who randomly got talented quickly.
Random note, but it's so weird that the 2D chassis is used for generic bey fodder now, especially when that chassis belonged to the main villain right before, it's not even the non- barrier version.
It's overall a decent episode and a good start to this season, and without the pressure of legendary bladers, I have hope this'll be better than Sparking.
