Chapter 5: The New Quest(ions)?

Tai decided that it was best to strip Axe and Lance of their beys or anything else that could help them. “Stay out of my damn pockets before I hurt you," Axe hollered. Inside of Axe’s back pocket, Tai found a piece of paper with an address and a phone number. He couldn’t worry about what was on it, he had to focus on the task at hand, so he stuffed it in his back pocket, then helped Alexzander and Justin drag Axe and Lance to a small room located inside the BeyDome. They tied them back to back in two metal chairs. “Alexzander, take Justin and go guard the door. No one is to come in," Tai commanded. Alex began to roar, “Look here Tai, I will not be taking any orders…" Jess interrupted, “You and Alex should should stay here and do the questioning. It was the battle you two were having that this creep disturbed. Anyways, everyone is most likely looking for you two, having Alex outside would lead them to you." Tai didn’t like the idea of doing this interrogation with Alex, but he nodded and went along with it. Jess and Justin headed out the door. Justin mumbled under his breath, “I wanted to ask the questions…" " Go guard that damn door before I hurt you," growled Alexzander. Justin mimicked him under his breath, and Alex gave him a dirty look. Justin let Jess head out the door before exiting and slamming it shut.

The key to getting information out of people was to remain calm, Tai thought. Okay, here we go. “Why are…" Before Tai could finish his sentence, Alexzander grabbed Lance by his hair and put his face up to his own. “Who the hell sent you?" Alex asked with aggression. Lance started to scream with pain and agony. “Zander, chill! You are going to draw too much attention to this room!" Tai tried to sit Alexzander down on a couch, but he pushed him off and sat himself down. Tai walked over to Lance. “Now, I’m thinking you don’t want to go through that again considering you now have a bald spot on the top of your head," Tai began, “So I’ll ask you the questions. Who is this “master"?" Lance began to open his mouth, but instead of giving him an answer, he spit in his face. Tai was so enraged that he punched him in his nose. Lance began to wipe the blood dripping from his nose wit his bony fingers, but soon passed out. “Now Axe, answer the question or your next." “Okay, okay, I’ll talk. The Master is a man with incredible power, and a Bey like no other. He sent us because you are the chosen one, you are meant to be the King of the Era Beast. You are meant to…" Before Axe could finish, there was a loud boom and the door blasted open. Tai saw that both Jess and Justin were knocked out. Then, within mere seconds, a black lion with a silver mane jumped through the door, grabbed Axe, Lance, and their Beys, and headed from the way he came. Tai and Alexzander rushed out the door to chase after it, but it was no where in sight. Zander ran down the dim lighted hallway to see if he might be able to catch up with it, while Tai attended to his friends. “Get up, guys!" he pleaded with them. “C’mon, wake up!" Justin began to come to, yet Jess was still unconscious. “What happened?" Tai asked with concern. Justin replied, “I’ll tell you later, but now we need to get her to your house. She is much worse off than me." Tai picked Jess up and held her in his arms. He walked through the hallway and out of the stadium, with Justin limping behind. “Whoever or whatever did this will pay," Tai warned.

After twenty minutes, they finally got to Tai’s house. He laid her on his couch and tended to her. He couldn’t believe what he saw in front of him, who would hurt such a pretty face? With those beautiful brown eyes, her curly, soft brown hair, those amazingly thick lips. He knew that he thought that she was amazing, but did he like her? No, now was not the time to think of that. He had other questions. Why did that lion take Axe and Lance? What was this “Master’s" plan" Him, the King of the Era Beast? What were Era Beast? “Dude, relax. You’ll hurt yourself over thinking this mess," said Justin. “Tell me what happened," Tai demanded. So Justin told him how the beast came out of nowhere and that both himself and Jess tried to defend themselves with their Beybeasts in a failed attempt, which ended in the lion attacked them directly. It enraged Tai, he knew that he should have had Zander standing guard. They would have had a much better chance, but he couldn’t do anything about it now. The damage was done. “So where do we go from here?" Justin asked of Tai. Tai then remembered the piece of paper he took from Axe. The address read “14770 Salioway Street, Dragonwood City, CA." “We get back to full strength, we find Alexzander, and we go to this address. Get packed and call your parents. We’re going on a quest to find “The Master". We’re going to Dragonwood City."
