RE: FOR NEW YORKERS are you intrested in beyblade tournamets? - Bey Brad - Nov. 20, 2007 Quote:First off it would be unfair to have an HMS blade fight a plastic blade Am I the only one really sick of seeing this? It's no more unfair than a player with a strong, well thought out plastic customization beating a kid who brought a Bump King. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PLAYER TO GET GOOD PARTS AND USE THEM WELL. If the guy has a better *plastic* customization, it's him putting better use of a same generation of parts. But when you use the next generation, because it just looks and feels so different, the mob hunts you down =( RE: FOR NEW YORKERS are you intrested in beyblade tournamets? - Bey Brad - Nov. 20, 2007 Isn't that GAMBLING? RE: FOR NEW YORKERS are you intrested in beyblade tournamets? - keyblader007 - Nov. 21, 2007 Look if you don't like it then don't go! Blackblade22 was only trying to give you guys a place to play in a competition! And Brad, even you told me that HMS blades are unfair against plastic blades no matter how skilled the combo! You told me that yourself! It's not a trap ok, reentries are done for 2 reasons: 1. To make the tournament last longer! 2. To allow people a second chance, they are allowed to switch the blade the used previously. This is good because maybe the last combo broke, was damaged, or just messed up for some reason. Now that person has a chance to enter with a different blade! So it's only to benefit the players, also the prizes are an average of the total entries so that the store makes a revenue and we get nice stuff as well. You can't expect a store to give prizes to a tournament if they aren't making any money from it! No one there except myself and Blackblade22 would use HMS blades as well. Everyone like traditional play there is nothing wrong with that! If enough people wanted HMS tourneys then we would have them separately! Also yes this was the place on my videos with the Vortex stadium! Blackblade22 only told you guys so you could stop moping about no tournaments and have some fun, if you wanna complain for personal reasons or others then lose out while we have fun! RE: FOR NEW YORKERS are you intrested in beyblade tournamets? - Bey Brad - Nov. 21, 2007 Keyblader, you can't tell us to not express our feelings about the situation. If you want to do re-entries, everyone should get them, and they shouldn't have to pay extra. It's a cash-grab, plain and simple, and the store makes money either way. This thing is pure profit. The store makes money regardless, they're just making MORE money doing it this way. I'd pay $8 because I know I'd make it to at least the top three. However, these kids probably don't have that assurance. Quote:And Brad, even you told me that HMS blades are unfair against plastic blades no matter how skilled the combo [sic]! You told me that yourself! Yes, and a Spin Dragoon is worthless against a Driger S or Galeon, no matter how skilled the player. That doesn't make it unfair. Also, players can't change their Beyblade after every match? That's friggin' ridiculous. ANY basic tournament allows you to change Beyblades. Why are people so hung up on plastics, referring to it as "traditional play"? How far back do we have to go with this? No Customize Grips? No Support Parts? Hell, let's get rid of Beyblades that use SGs, they're too NEW. Also you can change blades in between matches so again your putting words in my mouth! I'm not telling people to not express their feelings, I am telling them to back off on my friend who only made this thread to help bladers have tournaments! Why should everyone get free reentries? It a carp small carp store! I only said HMS are unfair to use again plastic no matter what the blade! End it there! You told me yourself, so if you say otherwise you are saying that you were wrong! I am trying to end this peacefully and to help my friend, so if you don't have interest on the tournament then leave it alone and let someone who does find out what they need to know to go ok! It should be simple; plastic division and HMS division. Some people might not like that spread, but it's the easiest and allows for a more equally standardized level of play. Though I have to agree on banning Wolborg MS. Or at least its Running Core. Both of you should really end it =/ RE: FOR NEW YORKERS are you intrested in beyblade tournamets? - Bey Brad - Nov. 21, 2007 Quote:I never carp said no support parts or custom grips! I said traditional play meaning only plastic! hyperbole |hīˈpərbəlē| noun exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally. I was making an example. My point is that I find it odd to ban entire series of Beyblades because they're "too strong". Galeon is too strong, Driger S is too strong, Dranzer V2 is too strong when compared to almost every other Beyblade, but they're still legal. I understand that there is a demand for this, but there should be some way for people to use HMS as well. I am sick of hearing "HMS is unfair." No it's not. It's advantageous. In hobbies like this, players with the best equipment have an advantage. It has always been that way. Quote:Also you can change blades in between matches so again your putting words in my mouth! If it's anywhere near Rochester, I might decide to bring the pain. Also, will beigoma be allowed? RE: FOR NEW YORKERS are you intrested in beyblade tournamets? - Elmo - Nov. 21, 2007 I think this tourney is only meant to be for the neighborhood. Keyblader and his buddies meet up at a shop and beyblade all day, after paying $8 to the storekeeper for being nice to them. Hoorah, hoorah. No HMS because Keyblader and his friends don't like it, no harm done. I doubt anyone outside of New York, and hardly anyone outside the neighborhood, will come to this small store to beyblade with stuck up plastic lovers. ![]() RE: FOR NEW YORKERS are you intrested in beyblade tournamets? - Nic - Nov. 21, 2007 Spinster Wrote:Has it been noted where in New York this will be?
