RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - Cat - Jun. 26, 2020 Oh wow... I just noticed that Lane's birthday is the same as my daughter's (September 1st) and Lui's birthday is the same as my son's (December 25th). RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - Vtryuga - Jun. 27, 2020 We used to have trademark bots which gave latest information on releases... wonder what happened to them RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - LOL-y Rancher - Jun. 27, 2020 (Jun. 27, 2020 8:22 AM)Vtryuga Wrote: We used to have trademark bots which gave latest information on releases... wonder what happened to them It feels like it has been a while since we've last seen updates from trademark bots. I remember when we used to have marutti (before he was banned) and bigdaddyjoe posting the new names for new beys and I would always look forward to whatever confirmed update we had. I think it would be especially important now, since it would probably help confirm whether the remaining Legendary Bladers (Daina, Wakiya, Zac, Xhaka, Delta, Gwyn and Phi) will reappear in the anime with new beys or if they're just in the manga to get beaten by Lean off-screen (heh... it rhymed... sort of). RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - snoc - Jun. 27, 2020 bored so I've decided to debunk Valt character criticisms due to boredom(hes not perfect, but these reasons are very bad) 1.Unlike others Valt never went through a good character arc and grew along with Valkyrie: This is just wrong. Valt had a bunch of struggles through his journey, and at alot of times he was stuck and had no idea what to do 2.Valt can always pull a new technique out of his butt and win: Wrong. Valt creates new techniques as a result of blader instinct and taking advantage of his beys traits. 3. Valt is a uninteresting character, unlike others (by others usually people put Aiga there) So you liking valt is up to you, however just cause Aiga is more flashy and has a more intense character arc doesn't mean Valt's is automatically bad. 4.Valt is overpowered: His strength is due to constant training and his large bond with his bey. Valt worked a lot to get where he is And also I wanna answer this: Who deserved to win the Cho-Z finals? This is complicated...With the strength both were fighting with I would say Aiga. Aiga in the manga did naturally build up his strength with CHo-Z Achilles, but he still did get strong to fast. Valt was really strong and stronger than AIga at this point, but he doesn't care to much about his champion status and wanted to have fun. So, Valt wasn't really trying and AIga was pretty strong, so Aiga did deserve to win there. However Valt is still stronger. Cause the thing is: Valt never really needed to get mad or anything like that and unleash his full power. Valt just wants to have fun. RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - Logic123ABC - Jun. 27, 2020 (Jun. 27, 2020 7:32 PM)snoc Wrote: bored so I've decided to debunk Valt character criticisms due to boredom(hes not perfect, but these reasons are very bad) I agree with you for the most part, but in the turbo dub where Valt is making Cho-Z Valkyrie he told Aiga's Dad that he needed to be champion again. There was enough emotion in his voice to make me think that he really cares about being champion. RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - Zeutron - Jun. 27, 2020 Logic123ABC (Jun. 27, 2020 7:32 PM)snoc Wrote: bored so I've decided to debunk Valt character criticisms due to boredom(hes not perfect, but these reasons are very bad)I’m sure he does care or rather did care about being champion to an extent because while he does beyblade for fun over fame he has always aimed to be the best just like any other blader and becoming the champion is the ultimate indication (note: how I say “indication”) of being the best blader in burst, or atleast it was back then. Although he can live without it, he goes for the title when he can because why not I guess. What I find really cool is that in GT, Valt was not champion since he preferred having fun and was training bladers in bc sol but the anime implied he may have been the strongest blader in that season. Regardless of whether this is right or wrong it shows us that being the champion does not necessarily mean you are the best out there. RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - snoc - Jun. 27, 2020 (Jun. 27, 2020 8:41 PM)Zeutron Wrote: Logic123ABC Yep! Aiga didn't win cause he was using all of his power, but that Valt wasn't. And of course, being the champion does not mean you're the strongest out there, just that during the final battle you were able to win. (Jun. 27, 2020 8:25 PM)Logic123ABC Wrote:He cares, but prefers having fun more. Even other characters said Valt was more in it for the fun. He never had a reason to get mad or anything like that, and when he uses special moves he just shows alot of emotion (as all characters do). ANd the battle was intense cause its a final battle so better animation. I think Valt was shown off better during this battle in the manga actually. And after in GT you can see he prefers training new bladers and having fun, not necessarily being champion. He just wants to be known as a strong blader, cause he is one.(Jun. 27, 2020 7:32 PM)snoc Wrote: bored so I've decided to debunk Valt character criticisms due to boredom(hes not perfect, but these reasons are very bad) tl;dr: he just wants to be known as a strong blader. Overall Valt cares more about blading and having fun then the best in the world status (plus being world champion doesnt mean you're the strongest). RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - UltimateMaster - Jun. 27, 2020 Sometimes I wish the anime was a bit more realistic. Like, some characters have had really long absences from the anime. They end up coming back without an explanation. RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - snoc - Jun. 27, 2020 (Jun. 27, 2020 9:48 PM)UltimateMaster Wrote: Sometimes I wish the anime was a bit more realistic. I'm sure lots of more slice of life things have happened off screen, but they just decide to start back competitively blading or make a new bey later. Valt would have been kidnapped lol RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - Admiral W - Jun. 27, 2020 I guess I'll throw my analysis of Valt into the ring. Valt is a character that of course we know loves Beyblade with his whole heart and truth be told he understood the lesson of enjoying yourself in battle is the most important thing more than anyone else. I've heard people say that Valt didn't have a character arc or that his wasn't as interesting as other characters. I completely disagree. Throughout Valt's journey to the top, he experienced bouts of discouragement, doubt, and disappointments and despite all the bladers who looked down on him, he kept pushing and training. Valt's journey was one of perseverance despite the opinions of others, all the while growing his bond with Valtryek. I've seen others compare the arcs of Valt and Aiger. Some have said they find Aiger's arc more interesting; for those that do, that's fine and your entitled to that. For me, I find Valt's journey much more interesting, that perseverance in the face of all the odds is really inspiring. And what's so wonderful about it, is that in the end, he proved all those naysayers wrong when he was crowned the best Blader in the word. He didn't let the opinions of others or his own shortcomings and failures stop him, nor did he let himself be shackled by those things. Valt's carefree and kind nature has had such a profound effect on those around him. So many characters changed because of Valt's positive influence. They changed him and he changed them. As for wether Valt deserved to win his battle with Aiger in the last episode of Turbo, I firmly believe Valt should have taken that win, not only because he's far more powerful than Aiger imo, but because of the work Valt did to get where he is, he deserves that position. He truly earned it. Kris said something in the later half of the international bladers cup that I think sums up very nicely who Valt is and why he deserves to stand above all bladers. "Well, over the course of this tournament, I've reflected on who Valt really is inside. He's truly one of a kind. That's the type of Blader I wanna put my hopes in. I always learn new things from him. When he beat Cuza, he showed us that winning isn't everything. Having fun with your friends is important. With his enthusiasm, good sportsmanship, and free spirit he's taught me that the journey to becoming the best is about more than skill and strength. That's why Valt deserves to go the final and triumph over Shu." Kris understood that Valt knew what blading was at the core, and that he's a truly positive influence on people. For those who feel a certain way about Valt, I hope you'll read this and take something from it. For me, Valt is the one true Champion. Not only because of his power and skill, but because of who he is. Didn't intend for this to be this long, but here we are. It was only Wakiya who notified the gang about Shu’s status). And theres no concept of calling the police at all, and its surpeising how Theodore Glass got away scott-free RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - snoc - Jun. 28, 2020 (Jun. 27, 2020 11:20 PM)XSabxManiacX Wrote:(Jun. 27, 2020 10:09 PM)UltimateMaster Wrote: If beyblade was realistic. If anything, if theyre really going to be out of touch with their child, why have children in the first place? Its okay to be a busy parent and all, but there should be some degree of connectivity (ex. Calling on the phone 30 minutes every night, other methods, etc. like what my mom does with my grandparents and theyre countries away) But then again, Beyblade has a lot of the Adults Are Useless trope. These adults dont look after their kids as shown with children going all over the world by themselves, looking for a team full of strangers RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - snoc - Jun. 28, 2020 (Jun. 28, 2020 12:38 AM)XSabxManiacX Wrote:(Jun. 28, 2020 12:13 AM)snoc Wrote: Have we ever seen Shu's parents? I Would assume Valt would have talked a lot of stuff over with his mom before going all the way to spain. Plus there's a lot of other kids Valt age at BC Sol so you could assume they can be trusted with your child. As for Shu's parents...idkj they prob just suck. That's a real problem a lot of people have, so I guess they had a child cause why not and left them to fend for themselves. I would assume they would maybe clal SHu every once and a while, but we wouldn't know that. tl;dr: Shus parents prob just dont care, and good parents do care (like Valt's) RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - BurningSands - Jun. 28, 2020 Thank goodness Valt’s parents seem loving and dedicated for the most part. As for Shu, er, I dont even know. The entire Red Eye deal started because with incompetent parents, which is pretty petty like how Phi’s evilness is from not getting the Beyblade he wanted RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - Zeutron - Jun. 28, 2020 Guys, it’s a children’s anime. Serious topics like parents are intentionally not brought up too much because the whole plot is meant to be more playful and it’s simply a kids show. Though, that didnt stop my little cousin from questioning why no adult noticed that Shu went missing, etc. (heck no adult investigated things further when Lui gave Shu the scar). By the looks of it, not every kid is dumb to not question the plot, nor does being a children’s show means that you can necessarily get away with plot holes. In the end, its just something fictional but that wont stop people from nitpicking the obvious holes RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - Vtryuga - Jun. 28, 2020 The first season of burst was the most realistic with the involvement of parents and school RE: Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts - snoc - Jun. 28, 2020 The WBBA has always been kinda shady, so a scar is nothing. Plus it’s hidden underneath Shus hair most of the time, And no adult noticing is cause Shu’s parents don’t care about him. Other parents wouldn’t know, and teachers could just assume Shu went overseas like a ton of other kids in the school. debunking some stuff I saw something that really hurt my head, so I shall prove it wrong. Valt making new launching styles isn't a result of accident, the first time he does Shu comments on how he noticed with Valkyries rubber tip and the friction in the stadium, he could make Valkyrie do a rush launch. Valt beating Shu wasn't a result of him just getting "a new driver". After he got the driver he had to learn how to use it properly, and he still had to train alot and overcome strong bladers. Valt winning is a product of him training and getting better. He constantly trained during season 1-2, and a shown by SParking, he also trains while being sort of a beyblade celebrity. He constantly improves imperfections about his launch, strength, and all that making him a strong blader. Now about AIga deserving to win: Valt wasn't fighting at his full power. Other characters even pointed it out during the match, he was just having fun. Yeah Aiga has talent, but he is not stronger than Valt. Valt did not become weaker either. Valkyrie only saying "BLast off Valt" to him at the end of god, was cause that's all he needed. He was already insanely strong already. The reason Valt wanted to become champion is cause he wanted to be recognized as a strong blader. Valt realized that champion only means you won a couple tournaments, you aren't the strongest. So in the final battle, Valt just had fun. He is still the stronger blader by far. And just cause someone like Amane got gold turbo when he first met his bey, doesn't mean Valt not getting it proves he's weak. I think if you even just watch burst its immediately clear: Valt has the strongest bond with his bey. Heck, Gold turbo didn't even exist when he first met his bey. Valt didn't need to meet his bey to get stronger, he already talked to it alot and formed a giant bond. If Gold turbo and true resonance existed in God, he would've had it. And as soon as GT started and GT beys were being created, Valt immediately got gold turbo so....this argument is just invalid. Anyways rant over, I get liking AIga more than Valt but you cant just make up reasons as to why Valt is bad so you can try to feel better about the world championships. I don't know who's throwing all this shade at Valt, but I wish they'd be reasonable. Truthfully, most people like Valt better than Aiger, the latest popularity poll proves that. Valt is a great character; I wish the people hating on him would look at him more closely. And as Sparking proves, Valt is the superior Blader.
