how does DGrin change modes

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - th!nk - Jul. 05, 2011

If you'd bothered to read the thread and watch the videos linked, you'd already know and not be asking another stupid question. But anyway, because I'm nice:

Ok I find this funny because YOU'RE telling [KAI-V] to stop posting? Thats wacked up man. She find stuff for us or therefore, the beyblade community.

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - Hov - Jul. 05, 2011

Ohhhh LOOL. My bad th!nk xD. Sorry man, misundrrtsanding.

Also I think we pretty much know that Vari is a Recoil with out the 2 plastic things in it. You can tell from that gap around under the wheel. But still we're not sure yet.

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - th!nk - Jul. 05, 2011

Hahaha, it's cool Tongue_out (By the way, your signature should say "that's", not "that".)

Anyway, do remember Spike attack is quite powerful, and generally suffers less recoil. We've only seen battles on plastic tips, so with an RF, it may do better.

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - Hov - Jul. 05, 2011

I have a feeling that DGrin wont be too much. I mean after a while the locking mechanism can be loose and flip to another tip while battling. [in anime, thats ok, but not IRL haha =p]

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - th!nk - Jul. 05, 2011

I doubt it, judging from TH170, TT have finally got locking mechanisms down-pat. Plus, after the disaster that was Dranzer F, I figure they would've put proper effort into this (much like the improvement from CH120 to TH170).

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - xshaman-kingx - Jul. 06, 2011

d:d is gonna be the king of out classed parts

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - Temporal - Jul. 06, 2011

So? I think D:D may have use due to versatility. Maybe not uber-competitive, but someone will find a use for it eventually. It's happened before. That's just my view, though. Thanks, Kai-V

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - xshaman-kingx - Jul. 06, 2011

but all of DGrin's modes are all out classed for its type
such f is fail for attack
s is fail for stamina
and wb is fail for defence

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - Temporal - Jul. 06, 2011

F has use. WB has some use still. S can find some use, but only in certain combos. I mean, F can be useful, depending on how tall this thing is, along with WB. S can be used with Basalt regardless.

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - th!nk - Jul. 06, 2011

F doesn't really have important use, WF and MF basically do better at everything. I mean, I guess MF LDrago 90F does beat a few things that people use sometimes, but I'm yet to try WF on it, so that may even be better.

S isn't that good with basalt, it just happens to beat hell kerbecs bd145wd sometimes. You may've misunderstood the point of Bluezee's thread?

WB is basically outclassed by CS.

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - Temporal - Jul. 07, 2011

I know all of this, but you can't say that the whole thing is useless. Each has some type of use, and WB can be used to destabilize. I just don't like people saying something will be useless without seeing it. Like that whole fiasco with 230? Remember how we all said that it'd be a total fail? Remember how that turned out? I'm not saying it'll be top-tier, I'm saying don't call it garbage yet.

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - th!nk - Jul. 07, 2011

I was pointing out that they don't have any use, especially with a fixed height base.

Any tip can destabilise. The beys we had called "destabilisers" are a severely dated concept.

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - Temporal - Jul. 07, 2011

Are they? Again, I have been out of the metagame loop for quite a while. BD145 was the final headshot, I presume? (I really don't know.) I was under the impression that Destabilisers still had some type of use, I apologize if I was mistaken. My main point is that you really can't tell if something will be garbage or not. (MF wasn't well received when the actual width of the tip was revealed, 230 was ridiculed, and that's just what I know.) It may some out outclassed, but maybe it won't go right into the "Dark/Poison" bin.

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - TenshouTsubasa - Jul. 07, 2011

The insane 230 ruined up all our predictions.
You can't tell a part is trash or not if you didn't ever see it.

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - Raigeko13 - Jul. 07, 2011

Yerp. ES was thought to be the Bearing Core when it was about to be released, but it turned out to be carp. No one even considered that would happen. xD But yes, the whole thing itself might not be trash, but the tips are all outclassed. However they all seem to have a different design then their respective tips, F no difference, S a bit different, and WB looks like a brand new kind of tip. Anyone else noticed this?

The difference between the reaction to 230 and the reaction to D:D is the fact that before 230 was released, we had never seen anything like it, so we really had nothing concrete to base our predictions on. We thought it was a joke part. With D:D, we know it won't be useful because we've had a part like this before (Flame Change Base), and we know how each of these outclassed tips perform.

Thus, I can guarantee that this part will be close to useless, especially at a fixed height, as th!nk pointed out.

RE: BB-114 Vari Ares D:D - TenshouTsubasa - Jul. 07, 2011

What I actually meant is we should not kick it to hell before we test it.
Maybe we will find something funny if we test it more.
