Why is that? The beyblade hasn't been released yet, we can't just ban it without proper testing.

I'm trying to say when it gets tested maybe

Im just going to point out that the physics of this bey will not pan out. It will suffer the gaia dragoon syndrome and it will loose a lot of stamina in same spin matches. So again it doesnt depend on how sturdy those wings are or how much gap there is,.. with a design like that the recoil created would be too much and will result in a stamina drain..

There's no way the Ring is comparable to D2. It takes a lot for anything to be banned in Burst Standard. Valiant/Variant looks a lot like Duo αpollos, which was a terrible Layer when it was introduced. Of course, being a Sparking Bey already gives it a slight advantage over a lot of GT Beys, but the perimeter is pretty rough, like a circular saw, which isn't great for Defense. I think Left Spin Master combos are going to outclass it in terms of Defense because Master has pretty smooth contact points with 4 medium gaps.

One idea. Though the blade gimmick of the chassis seems questionable when they aren't out it seems pretty round. Maybe 2D could be used for spin equalization combos.

I mean, Duo Apollos was terrible because it’s teeth couldn’t handle it’s recoil which shouldn’t be a problem with this bey. Duo Apollos also had 4 specific wall/gap contact points on its layer that had high recoil and it wasn’t much the spiky design that was the primary problem although it didn’t help the burst resistance either. This bey on the other hand has the same continuous spike pattern across its perimeter and its spikes don’t have huge wall like gaps as opposed to Apollos so that shouldn’t be a problem either. Do any of these things mean it will be good? No, it could be good or bad we just have to wait until release (was just making some justified guesses) but I believe it shouldn’t particularly suffer from any of Apollos’ problems .

believe it or not....Variant L. doesn't have a core chip.

yeah, so we're guessing it has metal in the middle.

I believe that is correct......This beyblade is very unique and creative at the hands of TT.

I have high hopes for it. and I wonder how Hasbro will destroy this bey lol.

Bruh, imagine that.
I think Mobius could be really good, but it really depends if it could surpass something like Bearing.

Alright let's get to 2D, by far the most interesting part. The wings look like... well coincidentally, an LBX robot called Lucifer with it's translucent pink and all. Secondly... are the wings just going to slide out but locked sideways? Given the length and the wings not being all that sturdy looking, this is gonna break so easily. It looks amazing, I love how interesting and unique it is, but performance wise, it looks poor and may break. The defense type Chassis aren't showing much promise in a competitive sense are they? Hopefully there's an option to lock in the wings though.
I think this bey could go five ways: either the wings are really strong and this bey is virtually unburstable, the wings are super wobbly and break all the time making 2d garbage, the wings occasionally breaking because you have to actually launch it hard to release them, they just get stuck while coming out or the blades are actually shorter than what we have seen in pictures.

I don’t think it will burst often because the teeth are on the chassis, which is guarded by a big shield

Now that we have a better look from the ad, the blades on the 2D chassis look really flexible.

RE: B-169 Starter Variant Lucifer.Mb 2D - Valtryek Aoi - Jun. 17, 2020

At 9 seconds there is a decent look at the Mobius driver

RE: B-169 Starter Variant Lucifer.Mb 2D - Infiniatmos132 - Jun. 17, 2020

I still wanna see it in an unedited battle but it seems ok. My issue is that it may be facing Helios in the ad only cause the force applied to the blades in opposite spin makes it less likely to break, but we'll see.

Anybody feeling some Bearing vibes?

RE: B-169 Starter Variant Lucifer.Mb 2D - Valtryek Aoi - Jun. 17, 2020

Exactly, it has a very similar shape

RE: B-169 Starter Variant Lucifer.Mb 2D - William Cochran - Jun. 17, 2020

i found out that Mobius is a mix of quest and bearing. It has the shape of the suction cup and the ( im guessing) material of the bearing tip

RE: B-169 Starter Variant Lucifer.Mb 2D - BuilderROB - Jun. 17, 2020

So Mobius is not like bearing, rather a POM Rise. Probably not anything that is top tier but I could see Mobius having some use in certain stamina combos.

RE: B-169 Starter Variant Lucifer.Mb 2D - William Cochran - Jun. 17, 2020

pretty much.....I'm guessing it could be good........but then again....who knows?

RE: B-169 Starter Variant Lucifer.Mb 2D - Orbit - Jun. 17, 2020

So.... it looks like the ring has black painted metal on it. If this isn’t just shiny plastic, then, the ring could be top tier. It could work with 2S since it has 6 sides so it would be balanced on it. I’m hopeful for it.

RE: B-169 Starter Variant Lucifer.Mb 2D - 4DFury - Jun. 17, 2020

It looks like Mb could be a free-spinning POM guard from what I can see in the ad

I think the ring's bad shape sort of counteracts this.
