This really had to happen. Just for the sake of it, i think that even if nintendo didn't want to do this, they had to becouse the internal batteries of Gold and silver are running dry. Its very rare to find a running one these days. My copy of crystal doesn't save.
EDIT: Not to say that this game is a bad thing! Its uber!

It might run dry soon. By 2015, they should all be dry unless in mint condintion. At least i think so.

That question is so good that it may be up to par with "Why does round pizza go in a square box" and "Why do you drive on a Parkway and park on a driveway?".
On topic: I doubt it. Debuging has gotten better since G1 and G2. G3 was all like "You will never cheat again without a 20 buck peice of plastic that will break on spot!". G4 wasn't much better, with awesome Debugging.
A bazillion rare candies would be nice, though.

i hear the only bad thing about heart gold soul silver theirs no new Pokemon though have new feature called partner Pokemon looks game wise like Pokemon ranger when Pokemon follow you oh great mystery all notched ear pichu has special thing very few know about cant wait to find out
