Hmm...I think there's gonna be extra parts like FR/LG other than battling that Uber-Red (for those who don't use AR codes)

The Gym leaders and Elite Four's Pokemon's levels may have changed too

This is another reason I look forward to Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

Woot, Johto Badges to fill up my collection! =D

do these come with the game?

Nope, Trading Card Game league.

After a certain (I believe 60) number of wins in a league you receive a badge.

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - Khel - Jul. 03, 2009

Did you win all of those then?

Cause if you did, I tip my hat off to you.

x2

The Pokemon TCG is definitely strategic and intense. I myself dabbled in it a bit (right when DP5 was released in Japan and when Gardevoir Lv. X was one of the main staples in the metagame)

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - Gadget - Jul. 04, 2009

Some I bought since I missed out on them, but mostly all of them I won. 4 of them I bought, the rest I won.

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - Bey Brad - Jul. 04, 2009

collecting badges at pokemon league was one of the highlights of my childhood

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - Gadget - Jul. 04, 2009

I stopped playing pretty much after the Platinum set...

The game just took too much of a turn and became too much of an expensive game. I'll play again when I get a job probably. I will definitely play once the Johto badges come out again though!

Also, Gardevoir Lv.X is a piece of cake. When I entered tournaments I usually just took out all of the Gardevoir players with a FIGHTING deck. (Shows how weak that deck really is..)

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - Bey Brad - Jul. 04, 2009

all card games are too expensive

wish they'd kept releasing pokemon tcg video games

Same here. But I'm happy with just real life cards.

The video games are great practice. But yes, I enjoy the real life card game, especially hanging out with friends on a weekly basis to play it (Though we don't do it now because the current badges fail horrifically, and the promo packs aren't useful at all)

the GBC game was SO good. I still have it.

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - endassey - Jul. 04, 2009

Both the GBC TCG and the actual TCG were great. I must have spent a good year collecting all original 150. Thank god I kept them.

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - A' - Jul. 04, 2009

I wish the GBC TCG had something where you could rip your cards up lol.

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - To - Jul. 04, 2009

I only really learned how to play the Pokémon TCG once I started to play the GBC game. It would be cool if Nintendo did another one for DSiWare or something.

GameFreak or Nintendo's Localization House (Treehouse?) should throw random Telefang references in.

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - フェルグラント - Jul. 04, 2009

Lol, get back on to topic now, its really off topic.

Anyway, do you think D/P/P is allowed to battle with HG/SS?

Cuz the character sprites may not be in the D/P/P series

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - To - Jul. 04, 2009

They should be able to battle. Once you get the National Pokédex in theory you should be able to get all 600 (?) Pokémon in D/P/P.

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - フェルグラント - Jul. 04, 2009

600? It is 493 pokemon currently because it is a remake of Gold and Sliver

so no new pokemon

and FYI, I don't think when you battle HG/SS version, a D/P/P character will replace the ones from HG/SS

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - MuchWow - Jul. 04, 2009

i believe yes you can.. because in the red, blue remake you where able to get the R,S,E pokemons...

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - フェルグラント - Jul. 04, 2009

I am talking bout wireless com. battles and you are talking bout getting pokemon?

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - MuchWow - Jul. 04, 2009

It was on topic :0

Heart Gold and Soul Silver will also affect the Card Game.

So, related to it, who hopes for an SP set again like the Platinum sets? It'd be awesome seeing some 2nd Gen Elite Four based cards in English. (Since Wizards of the coast is made of epic fail with the card game and decided not to release them back then)

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - Dude - Jul. 04, 2009

Haha...Soul Silver and Heart Gold...I'd love to see those colors XD

How many pokemons are there, by now, anyway? Four hundreads, or something? Isn't that gonna get confusing for the younger kids? I know I had trouble remembering the names of the pokemons from the very first series. Poor kids...
