RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - Jinbee - Feb. 19, 2018 Yo that is actually really awesome! It looks cool and the four player gimmick does sound fun and is a neat feature. Though I do see the flaws of having one stall another if one is knocked to the bottom because unless it can move aggressively to the bottom level it'll become a stalling match. RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - KinkoUsagi - Feb. 19, 2018 I really like the idea of risks being taken with their products, especially the usual straight-forward stadiums. Sure, it's gimmicky and in demonstration (at least from the video) it appears less exciting, however, it provides some freshness and variety when conducting these battles. A melee-style battle in a multi-level, transparent stadium sounds like an awesome idea and I'm optimistic that the presentation was the issue in the video and not the product. However, I have a few issues:
RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - bidinga - Feb. 19, 2018 Well hopefully Hasbro releases noctemis n3 in a starter or else I will have to buy this ? I'm going to be honest with you, this stadium seems like it'll be the worst Hasbro Burst BeyStadium released so far. The Avatar Attack is way better than this Battle Tower, even with that bump in the middle of its stadium. I think the same can be said with the Chaos Core BeyStadium bc that's still an actual stadium even with the lines and bump in the middle. And when I was watching Zankye's vid on it, the Hasbro representatives looked they were weak-launching their beys in there. This might have been overlooked but think about it, if you have an aggressive Bey, you can't even use it at full power bc it may fall off the top part, which can put aggressive Beys at a huge disadvantage. And this Battle Tower is already disadvantageous to really any Bey at all bc the Bey falls the top part, it could lose a lot of power, stamina, etc. Another thing - the price point. Seriously? $49.99? $39.99 would've been better. Not having the new SwitchStrike launchers in the set isn't really that big of a deal to me, but if we're in the SwitchStrike system now, people are going to expect the new SwitchStrike launchers with every product under that line, so I get where you're coming from. And the Beyblades in the set, oh god. We got Strike Valtryek V3 (which should've been named Strike Genesis Valtryek V3 to keep the SgV abbreviation), who doesn't even have the actual Strike God Chip gimmick of wing disabling, it looks like it's purely cosmetic. I don't like that. I know that Hasbro's God Chips are irremovable, but Hasbro should've tried to do something instead of giving us a Beyblade w/o its intended purpose. I also don't like how we didn't get Ultimate Reboot with SV3 as well, so I hope Hasbro will give it to us soon. Moving onto Noctemis N3 (this wasn't one of the better names on Hasbro's end), I do like that Hasbro kept its Upper and Smash Modes, but why give it 2 and not 3Hit? I'm happy we got Jaggy (which looks somewhat purple, which is nice, but it may be black), but still it's not anime accurate, just as you said. Overall for me, I'm probably going to buy this set twice (first for the parts as stock parts, second for the parts as extra/replacement parts and use for testing), but trust me, I'm probably not going to use that stadium. It's a simular deal with Legend Spryzen S3 and whatever Spriggan Requiem's name will be (Requiem Spryzen S3?), but in that case those two layers are actually different. So it's really annoying to see people do the prefix thing with other names that don't have it on the box and don't need it (ex: Wyvron W3 -> Tempest Wyvron W3). It's just plain wrong, so stop doing it. The reason it doesn't deserve the name strike is because it is only different in weight. gV and SgV in TT are completely different in performance, while this one is only different in weight. It's completely stupid. RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - Tempo. - Feb. 20, 2018 Im thinking if the Hasbro SgV is anything like the regular V3, then it shouldnt be too hard to remove the spring and wedge something in the gap that will keep the wings from moving. Maybe they didnt want to risk releasing the strike god chip both to prevent an extra choking hazard (and obviously to save money)? Yeah, hasbro definitely missed their mark with strike valkyrie. The layer not even locking is absolutely absurd and the performance isn't affected whatsoever by the presence of a "strike god chip" and not to mention noctemis N3 looks so nerfed by hasbro that it was complete fodder in every battle zankye or the hasbro guys used it in in that video. Wait until Noctemis is properly tested in a proper stadium. We cannot confirm that it is nerfed in that video when it was in a smaller arena than regular stadiums, and that it had Variable which doesn't have that much stamina in the first place. They're not right spin. Dragoons left spin tabs are there. It probably has a different mold than the actual product version, or is that it was barely put on to make it look like right spin. OLD GEN +KUKULCAN,REQUIEM ++ EPISODE 4 RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - KinkoUsagi - Feb. 25, 2018 I don't mean to be overly negative, but most of those were cheaply painted mockup models were underwhelming. I'm terribly disappointed that the re-colours don't extend past green Drain Fafnir and the cool Xcalius+sword launcher combo. Hasbro's Beys tend to be significantly inferior in aesthetic quality when comparing them to TT, but the re-colours are actually pretty darn nice. A lot of repetition in the videos (showing the same products throughout multiple videos to extend views), and really, the only exciting and fresh take on the same formula are the Hasbro exclusive Beys (which are, sadly, gimmick-less double layers) and the new stadium (which, as many users have pointed out, likely is flawed, sadly. Doesn't stop the blind optimism from me, though!). I guess we should be excited the slopes could improve non-competitive Beyblades, like Shelter Regulus and Deep Chaos, but I guess that's it? The app controlling Beyblade is absolutely hideous and those have never, ever been a particularly popular product. The Fafnir layer is cool, but not worth it considering. While Super Z is formulaic, its unveiling eclipses Hasbro's new products easily. Yikes. The new Random Booster alone is every bit more exciting than the entire 2018 line-up for Hasbro. Additionally, Takara Tomy's exclusives (e.g., removable God Chips, Ultimate Reboot, Duo Eclipse, WBBA exclusives, lottery Beys, etc.) just create an incentive to collect, customize and spend money. I'm not really seeing any of that from Hasbro and they're really focusing on a specific audience. |
