Yes, MF Lightning L Drago 90MF is a good combo but if you replace MF by RF the combo will be top tier (though still in this metagame with TH170/BD145/230 it will not be good)

You can make:
Attack: Lightning L Drago GB145/90RF or L Drago Destroy 90RF
Defense: Basalt Virgo GB145WB
Stamina: Basalt Virgo 90/145WD

Clonetos: Lightning outclasses Ray by a mile, use Lightning with a Left Light Launcher if you have one.

Hell Wolf- Its OK. Now, the reasons-
Earth is a good Metal Wheel. But, if you used something like Basalt/Hell, this combo would be even the more amazing.
Wolf is an average CW. Well, you know about it, so I won't say any further.
TH170 is the best track in the meta-game atm, and there are very few ways by which it can be misused, i.e. it can be used for a bad combo.
CS needs no description. Its one amazing tip, and with TH170, OMG! OMG! OMG!

Janstarblast: There is no best track in the metagame, just like there is no best beyblade. The best track varies depending on the type.

EDIT: LeonTempestXIII: Yes, that is the use of T/D125.
You can use either Aquario or Bull, both are good enough.
Yes, this is only good to be used against left spinners (and that too when launched weakly) or it will get smashed. You need to get GB145 and CS to have a chance against other attackers.
Inferno and Midnight would have no use.
Scorpio is not a good CW.

Yes, its probably for getting the height.
You may use Aquario or Bull, whichever is available. Well, it can be use against all combos, but do not expect good performance, as WD isn't THAT good for Defense.
No, Inferno/Midnight will be just useless considering the meta-game.
Also, never use Escolpio. Doesn't matter if its light. Its an extremely useless CW, IMO.
The heavier the CW, better the Defense.
The better the weight distribution of CW, better the Stamina.
Escolpio has none of the above properties.
As you are asking for advice-
If at all its possible, try to get some more beys. You may only buy Hasbro beys now, it seems; as you won't have enough time for TT beys getting shipped to you.
You may try for a Ray Striker, or if you manage to get a CH120, then do it!

Ray Unicorno- Well, that's true. But still, its currently an amazing track which can be utilized for ferocious purposes.

My hope is to get the Face-Off Set that contains Dark Gasher (there is one right?) and then hopefuly a Face-Off comes out with Ray Unicorno as well.

I dont get what my obbsestion is with special value packs and Face-off sets. could it be the exclusivly colored and crazy combinations of parts? I guess deep down I am sort of a collector at heart.

i chose 125 over 100 because now people use BD145 and 230 which 100 would fail at and i am not sure how it does on 145.

oops, i forgot that Pinching_eyes_2 between aquario and bull, whatever you like more works. thinking about it now, it may be good to use _125 or maybe a 145 instead of 100.
VS right spin, full power launch. VS left spin attackers use a weak launch

the defence/stamina combo i suggested was way more on the stamina side then the defence side, if you remove the MF then it would be pure stamina, i said put a MF just to give it a boost of protection (if you want some more defence use B, but i do not think it has to much of a advantage over WD for defence). no, midnight and inferno wont do good, they may be fun in free play though

Shadow x 9365: No, an MF is fine as it is.
Flame Aries: Fang cannot be used for defense regardless of the track as it has too much recoil.

so all in all i think this is what I will use:

Attack: MF Lightning L-Drago (Upper) 100RF
Stamina/Defense: MF Earth Aquario/Bull 100WD

On the Earth custom, I decided to go with 100 since it would be more useful agianst higher profile defense and stamina types. Does D125 have any sort of signifigant impact on the bey utilizing it though?

Would it be better or worse to use a WD that is slightly worn? I have 2; one that has been used more than the other

And since I am not to familiar with physics (yet) what would happen if I did use T125 on the Ldrago custom?

Normal MF's are good with all types except Stamina types, as Samina types need to have outward weight distribution, not inward. However, because Defense types need to be heavier near the center of the bey, MF's work great for them. Using MF's with attack types also reduces rapid movement for more controlled, but still equaly powerful, attacks. When it comes to balance types, they can be used with practicly any kind of balance type. Some may argue that using an MF with a balance type that has properties of a Stamina type is bad, but I disagree.

if you want some actual examples of combos you are going to need to list which beys and parts you have in your possestion, or name some parts you would like to be used in a combo along with MF.

Remember this is just for the normal Metal Face bolt. Asking for advice on the Metal faces with the interchangable ring and core is a seperate thing entirly, and since I don't own them, I am afraid I cant help you there.

D125 should do better IMO, as it can destabilize both 145 and 100 (IIRC one person has been winning quite a bit using 125 for stamina), and it should do better VS BD145 and 230 then 100

personally i would go with the less worn one. the less it is worn, the better stamina it has

Actually, Defense types need weight focused on the outside, but they use MF because they need as much weight as possible. Stamina types need the weight focused on the inside, but MF isn't used because it's too heavy, so it reduces the overall spin time. Also, I'm not really sure what you call a Balance type, because I remember quite a few people saying that you can't have a good Balance type.
