As much as I love the original bL, that crimson layer is living up to its name. I thought the red might end up too overbearing, but it's absolutely beautiful to me. Definitely buying a couple copies of the layer.

Longinus is the name given to the soldier that stabbed Jesus in the side with his spear or whatever. I guess, in theory, Longinus was “forgiven” by Christ and the “bloody” status was removed making Bloody Longinus have no crimson design — I guess that Longinus not having any crimson effect on it to resemble blood is because Christ forgave Longinus and the effect was omitted; so in hindsight, maybe Takara Tomy just thought ahead; maybe not, but it’s nice to theorize.

Why are you posting this on a thread that's been dormant for an entire year? Don't do that for release threads like this. An explanation of the source of the name Longinus is a little silly for bL. Especially considering Zwei Longinus just came out.
