Halo 4(2012) - Triple-X-Turbo - Nov. 01, 2011

Hi guys, Halo 4 is coming soon and it will be released in 2012. In Halo 4 Spartan-117(Master Chief) will arrive in an unknown planet and he and cortana will face an ancient evil. They will carry whole new human and alien weapons. Can't wait till the release day.

What do you think about it?

RE: Halo 4(2012) - Medz - Nov. 01, 2011

Not too sure if I'm going to get it as there is quite a bit of competition these days even though I am a major halo fan. Still excited to see what 343 industries can pump out.

RE: Halo 4(2012) - Annoying-Fork - Nov. 01, 2011

I don't think the planet is THAT unknown, it was said to be Sigma 7. But of course very little is actually known about it.

If I recall correctly, an incident with the ONI put a blanket on researching this shield world.

Also, I found a lot of the hot headed whining about 343's involvement hilarious. So many people are absent of doing research. I can guarantee each major person involved in Halo's development and overall history of success have their own biography.

RE: Halo 4(2012) - Triple-X-Turbo - Nov. 02, 2011

Yes, Surely the planet was identified as Sigma 7. It is being said that Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary may have some resemblance with Halo 4. I read Halo 4 Wiki and knew that probably this is coming until the Holiday 2012 following the previous edition(Halo:Com..Evol...Annive...) which will be release on 15 th Nov, 2011. It is alose being informed that with Halo 4 there is a new trilogy of Microsoft will be newly opened named "Reclaimer Trilogy".

yeah I mean 343 is filled with ex bungie members AND has been taking care of a lot of non video game stuff like the books. I say have no fear halo fans. I also say that Halo CEA will be probably just as awesome.

RE: Halo 4(2012) - Ndog888 - Nov. 04, 2011

i though they were pulled in a halo ps i heard they may use forerunner weapons

RE: Halo 4(2012) - LeonTempest - Nov. 09, 2011

The only reason i have any faith in this game is for the following

343 has worked with Bungie before. on top of that, half of Bungie is now 343. But I dont think any original Bungie members are with 343, which is a good thing for Bungie, (other then them losing alot of thier staff, which is bad) but not ideal for halo. i wouldnt go so far as to say bad. Some essence of Bungie is signifigantly better than none.

I have faith in the halo franchise. I probobly have more faith in Bungie itself, but i am loyal to thier greatest creation. the game atleast deserves a shot. plus i am curious to see how this game will turn out. because its being made by 343 this time around, this game could determine for fans whether or not 343 can do a good enough job with the rest of the new trilogy. How will the covenant and flood be involved in the game? is there a new enimies? What will they do with the halo canon? Will Martin O'Donnel let 343 re-use his music made for Bungie, and will he write new music for the game? All will be revealed in 2012...

@Triple X turbo: new technology in Microsoft? Is that in general or just for halo? Source?

RE: Halo 4(2012) - Annoying-Fork - Nov. 09, 2011

We've NEVER fought the precursors (Or I should finish Halo Wars to confirm this entirely....), this new trilogy focuses on an enemy which is even more ancient than the flood.

RE: Halo 4(2012) - LeonTempest - Nov. 09, 2011

Keep in mind that I do not think Bungie even had anything to do with Halo Wars. All the canon made in that game was probobly done by 343 correct? if thats the case, basing the Halo 4 enimies off a game not many people played (or enjoyed) may be a risk. On the other hand, atleast the new game wont just make up a new enemy out of no where with an obscure way to fit into the existing canon.

I find it disturbing that the day halo reach was released, the media (even the news) bashed it a bit for being to much like halo 3 (which is totally false) and yet despite MW3's minor flaws and simlarities to MW2, the media hasnt attacked it at all. There is something wrong there, considering that both HR and MW3 are both outstanding games.

RE: Halo 4(2012) - Annoying-Fork - Nov. 09, 2011

People have complained about Halo simply because of change. Change is always bad in the eyes of an amateur critic.

RE: Halo 4(2012) - LeonTempest - Nov. 09, 2011

Frankly, no matter what you do, there is no pleasing the ignorant. To much change and to little change are all way to scary to deal with, or they aren't what they think is right or what they desired, and that goes for almost everything.

RE: Halo 4(2012) - Chups - Nov. 10, 2011

Would you guys recommend grabbing Halo: CEA or waiting it out out for 4? I mean I'm looking for a great multiplayer experience. Do you think there will be alot of people that get CEA?

Also what is Holiday 2012?

RE: Halo 4(2012) - LeonTempest - Nov. 10, 2011

November 2012. games are not ussualy released in December for several reasons. One in particular is that we have seen with the release of several hit games this year in November that stores get packed very quickly. Stores would be overrun with madness if december was the month for all of the major games. Consoles are a different story, and because a new console isnt made evry day, those are generally released in or around December.

You do realize that both games are a year apart. If you have the money now for a Halo CEA, get it. If you want halo 4 as well, i am sure you will have atleast $60 between now and next year. if you dont, then go with your gut instincts. If you own halo (1) and want both games, wait for 4.

RE: Halo 4(2012) - Annoying-Fork - Nov. 21, 2011

Since the secret Terminals in Halo CEA are supposed to leak information on Halo 4...

RE: Halo 4(2012) - Triple-X-Turbo - Jan. 27, 2012

Bungie is separated from microsoft and 343 industries has been in charged for developing halo's new trilogy. Also, the anniversary has some magnificent graphics and audios than the Combat Evolved. Thanks to 343

RE: Halo 4(2012) - DARK RAINBOW - Jan. 27, 2012

i think it might be the forerunner planet too, since I've seen the forerunner planet in a cartoon, but it wouldn't be a new enemy just a new enemy type wouldn't it? do you think the sentinels would still recognize them? And their weapons are super effective against flood too!

RE: Halo 4(2012) - LeonTempest - Jan. 28, 2012

I have heard rumors that Forunners will play a role in Halo 4. Of course, this could just be as map designs, as always, but hopefuky we gt a bit more than that, maybe something more direct and involved with the plot of the game itself?

After picking up Halo:CEA, I am very pleased with the game, although disapointed that Bungie is barley mentioned at all on the box. They get a mention in the fine print and that is all.

My faith in 343 has certiantly increased due to Halo:CEA and I have decided to put my total faith in them. Dont let me and everyone else down!

To Microsoft, 343, and Rooster Teeth, I look foward to your advances in the Halo franchise! For Bungie, I especialy look foward to what you have in store for us next. See you star side, and until we meet agian!

RE: Halo 4(2012) - Hitsugiya - Jan. 28, 2012

I hope I'm not going to be stuck in a clan hopping hell again like I am right now in Reach when this game comes out. Forerunners had to use their last resort (i.e wiping out all lifeforms in the known universe causing the flood to starve) to succeed into "killing" the flood. So yeah, of course their WMDs would be effective against killing the flood. I really want an arsenal of Forerunner weaponry though.

RE: Halo 4(2012) - spacemarine320 - Jan. 28, 2012

What im wondering about halo 4 is what the enemy's are going to be the covenent war is over the and the flood have been destroyed (in the area at least) i know its going to be an ancient evil but what?

RE: Halo 4(2012) - Annoying-Fork - Jan. 28, 2012

There's a chance Master Chief is a lot more legendary than anyone could percieve.

A 343 doppelgänger was seen leaving the UNSC Infinity. And it was constructed using a Human brain belonging to an ancient named Chakas.

RE: Halo 4(2012) - LeonTempest - Jan. 28, 2012

...what? Explain your post. How can thier be a double of someone who doesnt really exist? Do you mean in the game? Where are you getting this from?

Elaborate more in the future...

The new book explains certain disturbing detail.

A badly damaged copy of 343 Guilty Spark was found by the UNSC and had likely been in their possession for an unspecified length of time.

RE: Halo 4(2012) - Hitsugiya - Mar. 06, 2012

Has anyone seen the new trailer for this game? It looks pretty amazing so far. It debuts a bit of gameplay, maps, better graphics and sound effects.

RE: Halo 4(2012) - Annoying-Fork - Mar. 06, 2012

Yes it does. And it leads me to believe my looming question of "what the master chief really is" was not just speculation. Looks like Cortana has a lot of explaining to do, if she doesn't die first that is.

RE: Halo 4(2012) - Hitsugiya - Mar. 07, 2012

What do you think of the new maps?
