It's still not released yet, so maybe we shouldn't speak in absolutes just yet. I'm sure if he was wrong about the naming, it wasn't on purpose. Let's maybe not be so quick to attack others directly like this. If you want to attack anyone for the uncertainty on the series naming then it should be TT for their clumsy announcement cycle.

The only way you get the title "super king" is if you literally translate the kanji into english, which the katakana next to the kanji on the logo clearly indicates is not the way its meant to be read. Zankye may not have meant to spread misinformation on purpose, but he's still incorrect and confusion has been caused regardless, so maybe everyone should like. Yknow. Stop.

Don't be mad man, we definitely need you. But I don't think you're right about the naming. I'm not saying it's anything compared to being a native, but I passed the N2 fluency two years ago and I can definitely read two simple characters. And even people who can't can simply look them up and see that that 超 means super, and 王 means king.

The official name is Sparking, but don't get mad if people start calling it super king, since that's what TT was also going for.

My dude, Furigana is a thing. With past series you could argue the title is meant to be translated literally and you could potentially have a point. But the logo for this series literally has the katakana for "Sparking" next to the kanji. "Sparking" the way the title is meant to be read, which is thematically fitting with the new launchers, as well as a pun on the literal english translation of the kanji. It's really not rocket science.

I don't think it really got out of hand or anything though. Now that I look at the previous photo again you can see a bit of it on the left side too. Well, that was quite stupid of me.

This whole conversation about Super King or Sparking should probably be deleted IMO. It’s getting out of hand.

So aside from all of this craziness, the episodes will be posted on YouTube like GT is currently, right?

I have been hearing that since Bakugan is going to be posted on YouTube that the new series will be on TV.

I’d like it to still be easily accessed on YouTube, but go back to the longer episode format. GT episodes felt too short, it’ll be much better with longer episodes tbh.

Actually they were deleted once they aired in Japan, so if anything they were not as easily accessible, so for the reason you said and what I just said I hope they do go back to longer episodes.

While yes, kami does mean god, the kana specifically sounded out god. Supā Kingu and Supākingu are both a play on words. But the official title is Sparking.

There are many times in Japanese anime where there is a name of something... better explanation. In MFB kanji says Tenma, katakana says Pegasis. The katakana is how they want you to read it.

Also, Sparking will still air on Fridays at 4:00 PM JST after GT is over. That has been confirmed via the character poster. As for episode time length, that is TBA.

As for Zankye and Crv, they may not know Japanese, but they try to convey their info the best they can. They also update when they have the right info. I have translators and try my best to get this stuff translated for you guys.
