I've always loved defenses but I never really got a good defensive combo. I dont know what parts to use either.
I use a defensive zombie tho using wolborg 2s tip. Can u guys recommend some defense blade combos to me? (PLASTICS)
There are two main types of defense combos: ones that rely on weight and ones that rely on grip.
The purpose of defense types is to:
1. Withstand heavy hits (from attack types primarily)
2. Not be easily knocked out of the stadium

Types that rely on weight are customs like this:
AR: Master Dragoon/Tiger Defenser/Galeon
WD: Wide Defense
SG: Neo Right HMC
BB: SG Metal Ball with 4 metal balls
If you think this is too much weight you can either use two metal balls or switch to a lighter SG Core.
Typically I prefer these types of defense combos. The extra weight increases spin rate. The heavier something is the harder it is to knock around.

Types that rely on gripped tips will make use of Wolborg 2's tip most of the time.
AR: Tiger Defenser
WD: Wide Defense
SG: Wolborg 2
SP: Defense Ring
BB: Customize Grip

or

AR: Tiger Defenser
WD: Wide Defense
SG: Wolborg 2
BB: Wolborg 2

In the second generation of zombie type beyblades, players started using Wolborg 2's gripped tip more frequently because it started to become more common that people would try to take out zombies with upper attack type combos. Wolborg 2's rubbery grip tip creates more friction between the beyblade and the stadium floor making it harder to be knocked around.

It would be better if you posted all the beyblades you have so we can help you better.

Here is a link to Composer's physics page. He talks about friction at one point. Maybe this will help you understand things more clearly:

Well I think that cements Cye's inauguration into the Advanced Bladers group!
kool, thx and congrats. also i use tiger defenser, 10 heavy, and wolborg 2s BB and bearing. would this combo work well? (btw, my bearings slightly bent, would this screw it up? ive tested it and it seems to be fine.
Shaft or bearing that's bent? That combo is fine if you're focusing more on defense.
That combo mixes weight (10 Heavy) and Grip (Wolborg 2's top). It is good if you are focusing 100% on defense, but it will have poor survival. I guess tha's okay if it can still outspin the attack types you are trying to beat. I tend not to mix one type with another. I either go the heavy rout or the grip rout. This is why I like Wide Defense. It works well with both.

As for your bearings being bent, do you mean the shaft is bent? I think it is pretty hard to bend those tiny bearings. Either way, it'd screw your endurance.

Also, I forgot to mention that the Magne Weight Disk is also very good for defense. The outside edge is very smooth. It creates a deflecting effect. But don't use it with a bearing SG. I'm not exactly sure, but the magnetism might have a negative effect on the bearings.
ya i ment the shaft. i dont have wide defense tho so wut be the next best thing.

I NEED to do a LOT of touching up. Having an exam next week, so I'm being lazy to write xP

Induced magnetism pulling the metal in your bearing and shaft together; it will increase the amount of friction on your bearing.
kool thx
