Is the defense driver still viable in stamina combos and does it still stand a chance?
Well on first launch, I love it but when it fades,,, forget it!!!

It's not that good anymore, unless you play Burst Classic. Defense and Stamina Types are pretty much required to use Drivers with high LAD to succeed these days, which is something that the Defense Driver doesn't have. The oldest Defense Type Driver that is still viable is Orbit.

Short answer: kinda but go with another option if you can
The defense driver for burst or MFB?
Lacks LAD. Id rather use massive.
