While I don't disagree, this is subjective and plenty of people will disagree.
My family have just got a Panasonic viera today. 50 INCH plasma, that is.

if you're getting a mac just to run windows, you're wasting your money. if you want a good looking windows PC, get a sony vaio
are they good for like gaming and other media related stuff?? Currently im using a Toshiba Qosmio, but the fan is clogged with carpet (idk how it happened) it heats up rlly quickly. like i play a game for 5 min. and it will just shut down from overheating. Im thinking of getting another qosmio, but very expensive. so i was thinking maybe another computer good for gaming or other media uses.

You could just open up your laptop and clean the fan out.

  • Mac OS X works with me. Windows works against me.

What the hell does this even mean? This sounds like a box quote straight out of Apple's marketing department. lol

It means that OS X is a tool that is used to help me in my projects. When I'm doing something using Windows I feel like I'm working against the OS's weird quirks to get what I'm trying to do done.

Check the instructions that came with your laptop. Or check for tutorials online to see how to "clean the fan in a _____ __ laptop".

Also, can you try to avoid quoting so many quotes at once? All you really needed to quote was Ash's last post.

As a frequent user of both OS's, I'm still not seeing the logic to this argument here. What exactly about Windows makes you feel that way? Better yet, which version of Windows specifically are we talking about here?
yay i cleaned my computer. but im not sure if its better though. i used those compressed gas duster things.
Well Windows is now an obsolete software, they try to compite with MAC OS with Windows 7. I´m agree with Battle Brad that Windows is something weird, all MAC OS use intuition sense againist the Windows that you need some knowledge about it to use it at 100%.

But of course Mac OS is very expensive!
well no. windows is still the biggest computer os by a huge mile. Your average computer user will feel more comfortable with windows, it is certainly not obsolete. OS X is arguably a better experience, but they both send emails, browse the web and listen to music as awell as each other.
Well that´s right but the Mac´s has a better system, which you can do more things than Windows.

I don't agree with this. Both OS's have their place. I do agree that my intuition seems to react better with OS X, though.

Pretty cool, I guess.

Installed Windows 7 today; noticed it is a lot quicker than Vista right now, although I hope it stays this way, haha.

Everything looks great, though.
Those Justin Long Mac commercials have really worn out their welcome. Before they were cute, and a bit funny, now they're "ugghh".

Of course! Windows 7 is quicker than Vista because Vista works in 32 bits system and 7 works in 64 bits system, which give a lot of advantages if you work with heavy files
I am still on this dinosaur 2005 DELL B130 laptop. The hard drive still works.

... 32-bit and 64-bit variants of both Operating Systems exist.
