What does it mean when they have G or C written by the names?

I used to have more (I remember having a regigigas level X power up).
G or C mean either Team Galactic or Cynthia. For example, that Garchomp you have is Cynthia's Garchomp.

Does that make it better?

Nobody else has anything to help me out? Plzzzzzzzzzz?

1. Can anyone link me to the simplest Pokemon how-to? It can be a video.

2. Can anyone tell me my best cards/deck?
You can probably just search how to play pokemon tcg and get good results.

Also they ban sets after periods of time and it appears the majority of your cards are probably illegal since they are from very old sets. Getting a starter deck and a tin could help get you into the game IMO.

Hm, yeah I know about them banning sets, your right since mine are mostly from Black and White.
As lomg as certain cards have been reprimted ie max potion or Bill ypu can use the oldsr ones
So, does that mean old energy cards are allowed too? Because most of my energy cards are from the first generation.
YESSSSSSSS. So, I got the yveltal tin and got 2 EXs (Exerneas EX and a FA Mew EX) out of four boosters Grin. Not to mention that awesome sauce Yveltal EX promo.

The boosters I got were:

XY Yveltal booster.
XY Xerneres booster.
Legendary Treasures Genesect booster.
Plasma Blast Porygon booster.

Sadly I didn't get the chameleon or Blastoise EX I was shooting for, but it got balanced out with the other awesome cards I got (one I really didn't expect was a Samurot. Really wanted this card.)

I'm really coming back to Pokemon Cards. Still will refuse to watch the show in a regular basis though XD.
So these Mega Charizards are amazing. All that damage can one shot anything. I would personally pick X due to the fact it is dragon and you don't see fairy as much as water which targets the mega Charizard y.
I just got a Yveltal Elite Trainer Box. Now I have sleeves, some dice, and more XY cards. But the only EX I got was an Emolga EX...Just my luck. Unhappy

Hey sleeves and dice are always good! You can't always expect good cards, maybe you got some good trainers and items you can trade or sell away.
Well looks like my luck finally turned around! Yesterday I bought four flash fire booster packs and I got a Charizard EX and a Mega Charizard Y EX. Grin

That's awesome! Do u guys think I should try a flash fire pack? I probably won't. I want to finish the team plasma cards.

Is getting an Team Plasma Inferape Holo and a Team Plasma Snorlax holo out of 2 plasma storms packs really great?
If your using fire type in your deck, then yes. Use flash fire. But I can't guarantee if you'll get as lucky as I did.

And yes, those cards in only two plasma storm packs is pretty rare.
Actually the Snorlax is a reverse Holo (the ones with the shininess outside the pic are called that, right?). Not sure if it makes it rarer or wut.

Yes, I am a n00bie.
reverse holo is considered rarer than normal non-holo cards

yes, it is, btw, I just got Mega Charizard EX, Its sweet. It can use 300 damage!
Nice pulls, which Mega Charizard did you pull?

Trying to keep updated on the new support for my deck. I run an incomplete Water and Electric plasma deck. I'm missing some of the staples that I'll have to purchase, but thankfully they are all not super expensive (some are simple items and trainers that I can buy easy). Maybe one day before the cards get rotated out I'll have a decent deck.

Wow.

I haven't played or really collected the cards since D/P/P, so dat weight creep. Haha I can remember when only Wailord could have 200 HP.

The deck I used had Arcticuno, Moltres, and Regigias, and the Snowpoint stadium to give them +20, as well as Infernape, Empoleon, and Salamence too. It probably sucks nowadays but it could have been decent back then.
Creep isn't so bad actually, with the exception of ridiculously overpowered EX/Mega/Legendary cards the game is pretty much OK still. There are just a few individual cards that shoot the game balance to Hades Kerbecs, but with the exception of the legendaries (which tend to be Basics with absurdly OP HP and attacks) and the EX/Mega cards (extraordinarily OP 3rd stage cards, so setup time is kind of a balancing factor) the cards haven't gotten much stronger since HG/SS (though even HG/SS is stronger than most D/P/Pt cards).

I still get D/P/Pt for the Lv. X's, which are often amazing; I have a deck which combines gens I - V to get some absurd stuff done with Grass types, namely inflicting double poison, sleep, and obscene amounts of damage while healing large amounts of health every turn and blocking status conditions my opponent may try to use. If I get fully set up, so many Abilities/Poke-Powers/Poke-Bodies kick in that my Active is pretty much invulnerable, and deals a whole bunch of damage per hit, and then heals for that same amount of damage XD

HG/SS Torterra + Torterra X + Expert Belt + B/W Serperior + D/P Venasaur + Hoenn Venasaur = 180 HP tank that hits for 120 damage plus 50 to all opposing Benched Pokemon, can reorganize your opponent's Bench/Active setup at will, can hit for 60 damage and then heal all that, heals 10 HP in between turns for a total of 20 HP regen per turn cycle, is completely immune to all status conditions, can flip a coin each turn to inflict additional conditions on the opponent, and if it should some how get KOed, the next Pokemon out (Hoenn Venasaur) hits for 40 damage and inflicts Poison, Burn, and Paralysis on the opponent, then the next turn comes back and nails them for 120 more, provided the Poison and Burn weren't cleared out by items or something. And none of that is using any single ridiculous item or Pokemon; it's all just an elaborate setup combining a number of good cards.

Of course, all that glorious strategy does nothing against all these OP Basics they keep releasing; they do ridiculous amounts of damage and have insane amounts of health, which aren't necessarily bad, but they have zero setup time due to low Energy costs and the fact that they are just Basics. In two turns or so you can have a 140-HP or more Pokemon hitting for 80+ damage, or something similarly strong. That's about the same strength as an average Stage 2 with a four-Energy attack, which takes a minimum of four turns to set up if you draw a perfect hand.

GAHHH DONE WITH MY RANT
Yep, that's the mega Charizard I pulled! Also, I don't understand why so many people use Darkrai decks.
Dat double sleep yo. That gives a 75% chance of NOT waking up, and there's a 25% chance that your opponent will faint right away. Add that onto Darkrai X's ability (which turns all Dark energy in play into Special Dark) and you are hitting for a whole bunch of extra damage just by attaching Energy.

Not sure if that's the same Darkrai you are referring to, but it's still strong.
I saw this thread up in the new posts and decided to get back up to date with the Pokemon TCG. Thinking about building Yveltal/Garbodor, cheap and I've liked Garbodor decks since the days of Big Basics dominating the meta.

Also checked back on PTCG Online, had a single unopened Flash Fire and a Dragons Exalted booster pack, and I actually pulled a Ho-Oh EX Full Art! I don't ever spend much time on PTCG Online but this made me want to...

So smexy
What's the required amount of energy a to start a deck? I have 7 water, 7 electric and 3 dark. I was thinking of trying to make an Electric/water deck.
