This is the thread for pretty much anything related to the Kendama toy. Post what kind of Kendama you have, what tricks you can do, how long you've been in the hobby, and pretty much anything else! Smile

Here's some basic info on Kendama: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kendama

I've had a green SunRise Kendama since the end of May, and it's pretty addicting. My personal favorite trick to do (and one of the only ones I can do) is the spike. Every day I try to learn or get the hang of a new trick, and end up failing at least half the time. Tongue_out
Ugh, I'm trying to repeatedly go from Big Cup to Little Cup but I keep getting my finger tangled in the string XD

Oh, almost forgot to add- this is the site where most people that I know get their Kendamas from: http://www.kendamausa.com/ IIRC, they're based in Atlanta, GA, so it only took like two days for me to get mine.
No Kendama-ers, huh? :\

I've made up a trick called 'Sphere 360' (yeah, I used the name of the Sphere 360 stadium). Whatcha gotta do is get the ball into the Big Cup or Little Cup, then flick the ball up and rotated the Kendama 360 degrees sideways, then land the ball in whichever cup you started in.

I've been able to do this a grand total of one time.
Video please?

Could I take a pen, a paper cup, string and a marble to make my own?
Sorry; I made a video but I can't upload it until Saturday. :\

I guess you could. Make the string long enough, though.
Oh, Kendama.Good times.Grin I have a black Kendama, I'm not really sure what brand it is.I can do spikes, big cups, little cups, base cups, pretty much everything basic.Im trying to formulate my own trick though....

Sounds like Japan's version of Mexico's favorite toy; ball in a cup! Tongue_out
