First: if this thread is in the wrong place, I apologize. I wasn't sure where it would go.

Okay, so hi, I'm driger212 and I'm a 1st generation Beyblader. Ever since Beyblade aired in the US, I've been experimenting with my Beys, trying to make various stadiums. After 4 years of trying (and having the funds to do it), I finally made the 1st ever clay beystadium. I know it's not an official beystadium, but it really works. I even made a YouTube video of my progress:

I'll give you more details later. I'm open to comments/criticism.
Moved to Your Creations.
Might want to put this in the your creations thread.
Looks cool how do the beys spin on it? Do they spin longer or shorter
awesome dude

watched video-Nice!
this sounds interesting, sounds like you put alot of effort into this, too bad i can't watch the video at the moment.
No...this wasn't the first... Are you using wet or dry clay?(By dry I mean like put into an oven and and that stuff)
Wow! Sounds like a good stadium.....
wow! im amazed! I just saw the vid.....Great stadium man! Grin
Wow I was serprised when I saw that it worked, good work!Smile
Sorry for the late reply guys. When you reach my age, it gets harder to keep up with things. But that's not important. I have all the necessary details you need to know about my clay beystadium:

I call it the "Crater Dish", since it is shaped like a jagged crater, with the inside having tiny dents and cracks. It's dry clay about 14" in diameter, 1.5" thick, and stands at 2.5" tall. I might give it color, but for now it'll stay white.

Now, for the bey stats using this stadium:

- RF, R2F, and F tips have a slight disadvantage, since the dry clay has less gripping power and the tiny cracks and dents also reduce their spin power.

-WB, B, WD, D, SF, and CS spin a little longer. However, their movements are limited, due to the dents and tiny cracks.

-HF seemed to be unaffected by the dents and cracks and performs the same.

-All sharps act more like defensive beys, staying in on spot (due to the dents). However, MS leave marks in the stadium and can create more dents in the stadium (still researching this).

-Launching can be difficult, since the bey can land in the stadium and self KO (either swirling upward til it leaves the stadium or bouncing out)

The Crater Dish is still in the prototype stage and I'm still conducting research, especially with other bladers as the subjects. I hope this answers most of the questions you guys had. I'll continue to keep you posted, especilly with my newest stadium, the "Diamond Dish".
I think using a dish or maybe another stadium as a mold might work and glazing it would definetly make a change in performance by making more of a glassy type of texture
You should put finish on this. They make paint specifically for clay that you put in a kiln again and it will glaze the surface over, making the surface smooth.
Thanks, both MarcoThePhoenix and Deikailo, for the suggestions. I will place a gloss or finish on it later. Should I color it or leave it white?
i had a sweet idea....Put your favorite beyblade's logo on the stadium! Grin or just a regualar color.....
hhm, if you have the colours of like a volcano so like red black grey, then colour it like a volcano or a metoerite crater, which is pretty much the same
That would also be cool for a **AWESOME CLAY BEYBLADE STADIUM**........Great job with the ideas and beyblade stadium.
I like the ideas Nwolf and Straight Edge. Thanks.

And thanks to all who have commented on this thread. I didn't think anyone would like my stadium, so I'm glad for the positive feedback.
Okay guys, it's been a while since I posted (being an adult is not always fun). So, I took everyone's suggestions and finally finished the clay beystadium. It is called the Aquario Crater Dish. And the show how well it works as well as mini progression from beginning to finish, I made another YouTube video. Again, I'm open to comments and suggestions.

I would buy one or get it for free (if ya don't require paying) Ill pay for shipping bra Smile i want one of these make it look like meteor like nwolf said...ya did good my boy..(Thats if your doing requests for people ya can make money of off this Wink )
Hrm...The paint job looks amazing (You PAINTED that aquario symbol?!), but it seems to affect the performance pretty bad. I don't know what to suggest other than try to smooth out the bumps...

I've been thinking about it. Right now, I have other priorities (again, being an adult isn't always fun). If I were to sell it, I would sell it for $20 (including shipping and symbol). However, Captain Caprii, this is one of the many trick dishes I'm creating. I already have another one in the works. All I can say is that it's diamond shaped.

Yes, Sparta, I painted the symbol. It took some time to get it, but I'm glad it came out well. And you have a good eye. There were some globs of dry paint that made the center bumpy, which affected the performance (even with three beys spinning). So, I've already buffed out the bumps and will try to make another video with different bey battles. Like I said to Captain Caprii, I have other priorities, so it'll take some time. But thanks for the feedback.

thats awesome! ive made some trick dishes of my own, one was from a sattelite dish, and another from a metal sink
Wow nice.. Its way better than the Proto! I would buy one!

No, you're awesome, beyblade oregon. Even I can't match up to your trick dishes. But I'm glad you like mine.

Thanks! Like I told Captain Caprii, I'm thinking about it.
You're awesome! I tried doing it, but it's a failure.
can I get any data for you to help make this stadium idea work better?
I'm willing to do many things to help.
