i also want to learn japanese. my reason is the same as othellog's. i want to be able to understan what they are saying manga's and anime's.

Cool then, hah.
Through listening to Dir en grey all the time, I have realised that I do not necessarily want to learn Japanese. I do not wish to understand, upon hearing, what Kyo sings. I concentrate entirely on how the words/sounds are being sung, as well as the ambience the other instruments create together.
However, if I had to learn Japanese, what I would look forward is to embrace this perfectly respectful and respectable language. There are so many traces within the language of what the culture is, with Japanese being humble and really respectful towards certain generations of their society.

I'm currently learning spanish, but I would really like learn Japanese. I probably want to learn Japanese so I can go there and talk to Japanese people and visit the toy stores or maybe get an exclusive iteam from Japan while I'm at it.
I would like to learn french because it's always been very interesting to me and it is an amazing language. Also because I plan to live in France later in life
I want to get better at Mandarin, my writing is a bit mehh but my speaking is respectable.
I guess I love watching anime, Japanese would be a nice language to learn for my current age/hobbies. I hate having to wait ages for the episode to be subbed.
I wouldn't really care about learning Japanese for Beyblade related stuff, I could go to Hong Kong that speaks a chunk of Mandarin above their Cantonese.
I would love to learn french! I always found their culture interesting and I love the way their language sounds.

I would like to learn Japanese as i watch many anime so i can understand more what the meaning of each episode is and there are no feelings when i read the sub.

i like french also its my second choice but im not sure its the safest place to live. my family got pick pocketed lots of times there
I want to learn Greek because i love the Greek mythology.I even like the pronunciation of all Greek words.
greek is a good language to learn. there are a lot of greek words in greek and latin roots so they would help u whem u dont understand a word. i would say greek is my fifth favorite language to learn

Japanese. Japanese culture has always interested me, both in an intelectual and a "OMG this is where all my anime, manga, and video games come from!" level.

Hindi: India is a booming economic centre and it could be economically useful for me to brush up on it
French: Well because it's a sexy language.
Spanish: The language is just amazing, also because I've always liked the Spanish accent.
Turkish: I like Turkish people. The country is amazing so that's is why I'd like to learn it.
Spanish: Because thats what most of my school speaks. (just the students)
I'll love to learn to speak and read Japaness. All of the coolist and lastest stuff is there(Beyblades for example). I would mind even living there. My only let down about is the food...
Japanese: I am huge fan of Japan and also all the beys..and since all beys and most animes are first released there..it would be nice to learn that language(although I know it to some extent)
French: I frequently visit Switzerland so French is useful. I already know some German.
another language i would like to learn is russian. i really like thier accents. and espiciall ywen they talk in english their accent is awesome
