I agree. Instead of reading the rules, a video could be more informative.

EDIT: I had to go eat while I was posting this so I am late.
That's my hope someday, Suicune_Articuno. What's wrong with appointing more mods? Hopefully, just some day...

Anyways, what do you mean Raigeko? Also, I personally think we should do this:

When a new member wants to post something, a rule list will come up.

Might be stupid, but... it could work. They ignore? They banned?

EDIT: Just because th!nk has posts and such doesn't mean he is mod worthy.
Raigeko13,I like your idea,we could make a system that deletes any posts that don't abide to the rules.
Idk, but I just have a feeling he'll be a mod soon lol
I think the mods need people who are on a lot of the time, make GOOD posts, and destroy the bad posts.
Like he does, without the magic modpowers xD
And a rule list every time before you post? IMO I don' think that's the answer.

Kcpj
I never really said anything about that lol. Or did I? Bah, I can't remember. Making a system that could recognize spam posts would be extremely difficult. Say a person just randomly posts a horrible combos saying it's good. It would be extremely difficult for the system to recognize a bad post when made. It wouldn't really help at all.
That would be impossible. That's like making a robot with emotions.. but of course it's a good idea.

But, we could make something that sends a warning notice, not those MyBB ones, one that is robotic-ally written and has said rules. Then, at the bottom or top write:

Failure to abide these rules will cause your account a suspension, or permanent ban.

EDIT: He doesn't destroy posts. I do spend a lot of time on here, of course, though, we all have to take breaks.
I'm not hatin' on ya Rai, but I've been waiting to be a mod since February. Also, Committee decides who's mod.

Hey but he could at least be an advanced member.
We are a little off-topic there, iBeyblader.

But, anyways, what do you guys think of the message? A mod could issue it, and then if the guy doesn't abide, he would be removed.
Kinda like a 'Terms of Agreement' thing like when you sign up for stuff. Except this one you actually have to read instead of checking a box and continuing. <-- Off topic? Kinda.
Yeah, but how is it going to know when the member is finished reading
Exactly the kind of thing we need CRU.
But how can we make new users actually READ it? A timer won't help now, they'll just wait it out.
That was a good idea? Really? Wow, that wasn't expected. There is no way to get users to read the whole thing, that I know of, unless you have a quiz at the end summarizing the passage, but we've already thrown a quiz STRAIGHT out of the window.
Voice, it could be an answer. But some, that would be not good for...

Man, this is hard. I just want to help so bad.
How about if we have a voice speaking the rules when they are reading terms and conditions
Or they are not allowed to post unless they read the rules, which would NOT be sent by Kai-V, but they have to find themselves, then after/if they read, there could be a quiz. They must get the answers right to post, and a Face could be rewarded for getting it the first time. So they have some motivation.
Two of those things you said we threw outta the window.
No quiz
No face for new users, must be earned with hard work, and for the Rose Gold, money Tongue_out
That sounds good.

Unfortunately, most of the rules here are basically common sense. So if you fail to abide them, you lack common sense?
Yerp.
You know... I don't think we can help them.
No common sense = well... Yeah.
Me and Raigeko were talking about this kind of stuff earlier, then this thread pops up. I just thought of that...
Everyone has SOME common sense, blinking, moving, breathing, are all things you never forget how to do but never think about it. <-- Off topic?
Nahh, it has to do with their incopetence.
I'm gonna go ahead and bring back up the quiz thing, but no face. Being able to post on the WBO should be motive enough. 75% correct answers, and you pass.
OR
We could do the video. A simple video, just explaining the rules VERY simply. A little background music, in HD (to look professional) would be perfect. However the video thing could be a problem, as I for one, have slow internet, and this might affect some people, but not many.
i agree. no face.
so who's doing the video?
This thread has gone far in its day/days. But anyway:
I was thinking, for new members who don't know absolutely NOTHING about combos and go bragging about a carppy one and say it #1 and can destroy anything, The PM, should come with a list of top tiers and a list of some great combos, so when they talk about a combo, they know what they're talking about at least. And the quiz also seems like a great idea. And if I am right, it'll be about the rules so they now how and what to post, NOT bey parts and skills, Cuz WBO IS mainly for learning about beys, bey parts and skill, and just for having fun sometimes on off topic (AKA non-bey related for Incompetant members who think it means you can get off topic) threads.
I also agree for the no face.
maybe we could have the quiz for 80%+ if you want to access all beyblade related boards and have a quiz thats 65%+ for all the other boards?
No quiz.
The video is honestly the best idea, if done correctly. It should show only the WBO. No ones face in it. I think that the best type of person to make this is a person who as a lot of experience using the forum, but not too much, someone who is not a mod. OR a mod could make the video using a new account, although I doubt they will want to do that.

EDIT: For all these SPAM Bot systems, we need a CAPTCHA system when you sign up. That will stop quite a lot of SPAM from the beginning and also show which members are truly members.

I'll attempt to make a video for the WBO, using WMM.
Would that be possible, or am I not experienced enough?
