to an exstent i used to replace parts with objects around me, and with unused spare parts i used to remold them. i created a beyblade with shap edges, it takes off fingernails and makes your fingers bleed. there was a point to it, iv had beyblades stollen out of the area or grabbed by kids who thaught it was so cool to be rude. so i invented a cure..........and it cured my problem..

its accually a usable blade pretty hard to beat, "very illegal blade", didnt think it would work since it thows a blade off ballence and everything dosent add up to the right calculations. if you can create a blade thats perfectly ballenced and all the calculations add up perfectly, you earn my respect real quick.

Although I do wish people would stop going on about the laws of beyblading.. I'm not having a go at you here, but what makes a homemade blade with spikes so illegal? As far as I can see only beybrad and people scared of innovation and cut fingers... Ah well.

I could be wrong, but in the first series of beyblade did the kids not build their own blades? The spikes looked pretty damn sharp too....

Both of you are absolutely right, the attack ring is far heavier than the weight disk, so not entierly nessesary. But I think the more weight the blade has the better it's chances are.. Also it's good to keep the customizaton element, as thats a big part of beyblading.. without that it'd just be a spinning top...

keith do you know a way how to make an attack types atk ring ?2000 rpm lol

well it wasnt much i could do. either cut fingers or just sit around and do nothing. kids a rude these days. though it is senceable that i could get introuble for it and i will face the fact that its not the smartist thing in the world. its duled down by now over the years and i dont have people bugging me anymore so there is no use in hostile fights. im not sure what the absolute laws are as of yet. but im pretty sure its compleatly agenst all rules to use a blade that was ment to draw blood.

Yes back then the beyblades where pretty sharp and had more pointed ends to them. but they also broke much easer then the newer ones. if i didnt keep up with the one i made then it would break as well.
its only human nature to have someting much better and uniquer then anyone else. having a blade that is intitled to you only is much better then playing with a top that a ton of people have in the world is kind of neet to tell the truth. i dont do it any more so im pretty sure im ok with what i got. besides im not sure if anyone really plays with the S,F,V, and V2's so i dont have to worry about fighting some one with it...... hehehehe

I know homemade beyblades are "illegal" and I know what the reasons behind that are, but to me its just stupid.. this is just another branch of beyblading. Maybe having the intent to draw blood is over the top, (personally it doesn't bother me) but talking about homemade beyblades in general here..

By the way the spikes I refer to are from the anime, not the toys.. Is the animie based on the toys or is it the other way round? If it's based on the anime then I think the rules should be too.. They were free to customize in any way they pleased, and the spikes were gnarley.. Haha, check these they look seriously bitchin.....

well, it is over the top but so was taking my blades and throwing them in the fire. either way it dosent matter. to me it was the fun of making the blade.

some of the first blades where pretty spiky. hahahaha i never looked at it that way. well its been so long since i seen a beyblade from the first. wow do they have spikes. ya i think it should be ok to make them and use them.....if you can make one work then i think should be aloud to use it.

im not going to be making anymore home made blades let alone the painful dealer so you dont have to worry about that. i rather keep my self at peace XD

I have only SEEN this once, but a guy in a contest used a blade he made himself by sending blueprints to a molding company, and he won!

okay then , the hommemade beyblades i make are awesome ! i know it may seem im bragging but seriously if mine and kieths battled it would be fantastic seeing how well made his is !

If any of you guys know how to make good homemade beys i would appreciate it if you help me out.

I can make a couple of suggestions, though you're going to ask me what you need help with with.
For material, I'd recommend simple peices of metal.
The best thing to start out with is a washer, and you want to add to that, as in building a base and such. Then make some grooves for the launcher. I dunno.

Sorry. I need to know how you made your previous beyblades, the weight,aerodynamics etc.

I would like a to make a beyblade out of metal like steal modeled after a t-rex. Also its like a metal fight in the way its mostly metal but its safe in the way that any beyblade is then again any beyblade is dangerous. Also what if I made one out of hard plastic so it wont break easily but the only metal is the tip and the weight disk, but its modeled after a t-rex. The reason why I want to make it is because I know hasbro or takara would never take ideas for making a new beyblade

Judging your post, you just want a nice looking t-rex blade. I suggest, painting a blade to your preference.

And about lego beyblades, in order to make one with a fair design you'd have to use one of those wide toothed gears. Anything else will hardly spin even with a conventional weight distribution.

Work, Design, Create. i did not plan the blade just spare parts and went to town on them, and this is what came out in the end.

Completely useless in a battle but it was never made to be fought with, it still has a good spin rate despite it being off balance.

probably not, but its for what its worth. it depends with different people. some think molding or shaping their own blade makes it home made while you get people who create their blades from scraps, no natural beyblade as a base. its pretty hard to create blades from scratch, rather as i just created something out of parts of busted beyblades.

i think of it either way, the same way with a bomb, is it home made if you still use some sort of firework or gun powder? or go all out with flower and baking soda. XD
