I could swear Brad said it was Lakmus... Confused http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-New-WBO-...#pid109491
Lakmus is used in one of the concept logos, but not the final logo
(this one: http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/9766/wba.jpg )
It's a grand theft auto clone font.
Unhappy Oh Never Mind Sorry...

Thanks for trying though, was good of you to make an effort Smile
the lowercase "world beyblade organization" part is called planet kosmos, but I can't find the WBO part.

Does anybody know what the WBO font is? I'd kind of like to make some posters to put up on the day of the expo, or at least something I could put as a signature for people on the expo forum.

Brawl Font
I might send out some PMs soon to make up a more definite attendance list. Just letting you know.
Spinoff poster draft. Thinking it needs some shifting around, but it's just a draft[attachment=680]

It looks good, but the words clash too much with the background so the words don't stand out that much and it's a bit hard to read. You should change the font colour.
I's good but you have to change the font where it says <brought to you by the>
^ I liked that part. Unhappy

I dunno who's doing/making what but I quite like this poster. Joyful_3 It doesn't really go with the other logo though......

I could see what it looks like with the original logo, I just felt it was a little plain.
Does anybody find when they upload an image to the internet, it looses saturation?
Switched things round and changed the contrast a little, so hopefully things should be a little more legible.

This is a really weird design decision in Photoshop. Read this:

What Chocked_2.. That's MENTAL! For some reason, the saturation isn't lost as badly when I export it as a .png (like the previously post I made), but .jpg's are a nightmare.
Did we work out if there would be a small entry fee for prizes or not?

I totally live in Bromley. Grin

And I don't think anyone would have a problem with it but I doubnt it would attract many people unless they were posted in specific places, i.e, Orbital Manga, Forbidden Planet, Tokyo Toys, Japan Centre, Time Trek, China Town, Adanami Shobo(?), psosibly video game and hooby shops. Argh, if Woolworths was still around you could get like 100+ but they'd all be under 10. XD

Dieddead, if the Expo people work with us then we're not allowed to charge an extra fee. If it's outside that's another matter but I think we decided that, with donations and such, an entrance fee wasn't really necessary. It'd just put people off.

Sorry, I missed this post.
Yeah, that's fine, if you want I can upload a better quality version?

To Rocky, you make valid points, and I'm guessing people are more likely to take interest if there isn't a charge.

This was an alternative version of the poster that has more of an organic feel to it, slightly inspired by the water color theme of the web link Brad posted.

If anyone has any suggestions for what they'd want to see on a poster, or changes to the existing designs, then please say so.
First thoughts: Pepsi! I guess that'd make people remember it more. :3

As it looks like we're doing posters now, would it be an idea to have a poster along with a number of flyers that people can take? I guess a mix of the info in Brad's pamphlet and the info surrounding the Spinoff?

Flyers would be a possible, but I still think the posters are the way to go, I've added the worldbeyblade.org website link to them as well.
Might be an idea to start a new thread for all of this over in the your creations section.
Whelp, you're the poster creator person here so go for it if you like.
In any case, I thought it might be difficult to include all the relevant information whilst still keeping a clear and eyecatching poster, hence the pamphlets. If we wanna attract total newbies or people who gave up the game a while ago, they need to know about the new series, how it works, how beyblade actually has strategy, about the WBO and how beyblade isn't dead, etc, as well information about the actual tourney (times, locations, format, freebattles, etc.).
Mind you, if posters were to be set up in targeted places then I guess all that might not be necessary as the people viewing it would most likely be attending the Expo anyways.......oh I dunno. I guess either way works, they're just different strategies. :X
Damn, Blitz only does Paypal and I don't have that, now what do I do?
Get Paypal? Or ask your parents to get it? He might take postal order or something seing as you both live in England but it'd be easier on him if you could find a way to use Paypal........maybe ask a friend to transfer the money and pay them back?
Well, they were mostyl to advertise the event on the day, any I think the link to the site is enough for anyone who wants to find out that information.
From the poster, you can automatically see that it's beyblade, beyblade hasn't been around for a while, so people are going to assume that it's back, and if they're the kind of people who would be interested, they'll check out the website.
We can do flyers, but I think all we need flyers for are so people will have the web address to take home and look up for further details.
Started a new thread for the poster and possible flyer designs

The HQ posters can be found there for those who want to print them off.

Yeah, I don't think my parents do Paypal, well, espically not my dad. My Uncle might do it and if not I'm sure a friend does, maybe.
You could always try to do it behing the back.
