I wasn't using an attack type. I used a combination I just threw together, no testing. Unfortunately, I'm not as enthusiastic as I used to be.

I don't really like borrowing parts. Beyblade is a game of preparation. If I didn't have the parts then I wasn't prepared enough. I'd really like to get a big MFB collection that's comparable to my HMS and plastics, but I've been spending all my money on other things. Plus, I just spent like $150 on prizes and a stadium.
oh, that's very true. but there's nothing wrong with borrowing parts. plus, if you had the parts but you didn't have them on you, THEN you'd be considered unprepared. you just didn't have them and that's ok. =) that's y teachers would yell at students who didn't have their hw or required books... it's not because the teacher didn't provide the supplies, it's because the student forgot them... unless the hw was to buy the supplies (lol, i know, i just contradicted the point of my statement).

It was posted that it was short notice but for something short notice it went very well. Props to Dei and Blue who arranged it and Cye for coming?

I just had flashes of kids being admited to ER's cause their finger slipped and landed on the iron, then chain reaction iron dropped on foot then fire on rug ...... doing what you suggested will mess up the angle of the tip because unless you are a robot you will not have a constant angle and pressure rotating it. Plus I am pretty sure doing that might be an illegal mod but do not quote me on that. tbh its not a big deel but if you are really that desperate to keep the scratched up tip I suggest just wet sanding it with a very fine sand paper or even dremel polish. less dangerous than workign with hot metal.

hmmm, but i think welding metal parts is legal unless it's the EXACT form it was before... Melting the plastic is the same concept except slightly different. It's illegal if it's wearing it down artificially like sanding it or polishing it... but technically, we're melting it down... i'm not sure if it's legal or not... i guess that's up to the WBO to decide....

The only progress thus far is that japan-toys took my money. They can't process or ship anything until after the 4th though. Also, I'm not satisfied with the prizes. I wanted a lot more stuff.

I didn't have a lot of stuff because I was expecting only like, 8 people to show like every other past tournament I went to. Not to mention, this was last minute.
lol. trust me, at the last tournament i won at, the prizes you gave out were good enough. (well, since it didn't count... i guess it wasn't really a "tournament"). lol. but they were still cool. hopefully if beyblademon isn't a scam, i'll bring my TT attack stadium. plus, he said it would probably take 3 weeks... i just ordered a week ago.
