I don't find much use for Customize Bearing except when used for high speed attack with Wolborg2 shaft.
Isn't the Bearing Core the only shaft that can fit into Customize Bearing Base? You can put Wolborg 2's in, but it's really difficult to take out.

Wow! what a coincidence, I just ordered a Burning Kerberous last night since i don't have any blades and kerberous looks like a great starter.

I observed some of its battles on youtube and found that its good for suddenly forcing the opponent off ballance, and its smash ability is most prominent when it itself is knocked off ballance and is wobbling about.

Its defence seems to be its only downfall because it can knock its own self out of the ring if it does a smash attack, and it appears to get pushed around easily, maybe i should switch the weight disc to a heavy if it all ready doesn't come with one. In any case, i am sorry if i strayed from the topic.

EDIT: Make sure if you order a japanese blade that it doesn't have the TT hongli logo on the box, because those blades are fake. Also make sure the d-rights logo is somewhere on the box.

It's a takara. Made sure of that before I ordered it Smile

Also. I'm not too understanding on your terms of bearings. Care to throw me a run-down someone so I have more of an understanding of what youre all babbling about?

just to make sure aswell...little box in the corner of the packaging..Black japanese writing if it's takara, fake if it's T.T Hongli. Am I correct?

Yes, WB2 shaft (usually paired up with DZ S casings) is supposed to stay fixed when used in Customize Bearing BB, that's the point. It's a tight fit where part of the rubber tip gets stuck in the opening at the bottom of the base. It's used for high speed smash attackers, usually paired up with a high recoil AR like in the Whale Attacker/Fin Tectors combo.
It's the best choice when you don't have Uriel 2 BB (actually, I'm not sure which works better since I don't own Uriel 2).

Do you have Wolborg1/2, Bearing Stinger, Burning Kerberous, etc? These blades all come with free spinning shafts that hold NSK shield bearings (BK comes with 1 NSK bearing and 1 normal metal bearing). For endurance combos using a free spinning shaft, NSK bearings are the top choice for the increased survival and they run smoother than the normal metal bearings that come in other bey like Dranzer S, Flame Pegasus, etc.

Dont get: NSK

I basically get bugger all of the terms concerning bearings, bases, etc. Which piece of it is a bearing, Say what it looks like and I think i'll be able to follow.
Not trying to sound bitchy, It's just gibberish to me XD

I..... seem to have misplaced my bushings. [/embarassed]

Anyway,
[Image: DSCN0035.jpg]

This is the only existing picture I have on the computer for comparison purposes. On the right uses a bushing, and on the left a bearing. As you can see, the bushing is just a simple metal ring, while a bearing is... you should know what ball-bearings are, right?

It's obvious that the bearings will reduce the friction more than the bushings will.

Also, bearings can be tuned and seasoned. Tuning would be to remove the anti-rust grease in it; although it will rust faster, the performance is much smoother. Seasoning will either run it through many thousands of bey-battles, or using a motor, make it spin for days until the ball bearings are rounded smooth.

Bushings come with Bearing Stinger, Dranzer S, Zeus (takara), Kerberos
Bearings come with Wolborg, Wolborg2, Kerberos

You might notice Kerberos is on both lists. That is because its SG can fit two bearings. It comes with a bearing and a bushing, but the bushing can be swapped out.

Also, Flame Pegasus comes with a plastic bushing.

(If I'm missing out anything, please update)

In HMS era, Wolborg and Jiraiya have bearings, Dranzer MF has a bushing (I think). But since they cannot be taken out, no one cares.

NSK is a brand xD I think they provide the bearings.

Also, (and I'm betting it was not an intended pun) Kerberos's box says "Neo Spin Kore" on it somewhere. I used to think that was what NSK meant.

I never said it was supposed to be easy to take out, or to be able to spin smoothly.

When slightly worn down, Uriel2 cannot compare to this thing's speed. It's somewhat comparable to MSUV, I think. I'll test again later just to be sure, if I manage to finish my studies early.
Im starting to follow you now.

So whats the difference in performance between bushing and bearing, how to spot the difference, and rundown on seasoning?

Also, Where do you get spare bearings? I'd be tempted to look around for some if I knew exactly what I was looking for.

I think as soon as those bits up there are explained Ill begin to get it.
You can get spare bearings at hardware stores. Seasoning, from what I recall, is basically just running a bearing on a little engine or something.

Engine?

Now it's just boggling my head even more *slams head on desk*

Check the Bearing Tuning part of the Zombie article for a in-depth explanation.

Nice, looking forward to hearing more on it. Slightly worn fixed WB2 shaft has always been a beast.
is 'Uriel 2' Capricorn Strike G?

And thanks for the article, I understand it a lot more now Smile

another question, What is the exact size of the bearings I need to buy?

No.

Capricorn Strike G has an EG Spin Gear and a matching EG base. Hasbro. It's a change of Japan's Uriel 2.

Uriel 2 is a Japan-only beyblade.

Whats the Uriel 2 look like?

I'm after an Orthros but it's becoming a pain in the nect to buy, even with the random boosters still floating around randomly.

I'm fond of Ocean Wrath's attack ring, Reminds me of the homunculous from Fullmetal Alchemist.

Sorry for lo-res pictures, but I do not have a Uriel 2.

Most notably, SP and BB. BB is said to be super crazy fast, and SP helps with lots of attack (again, no Uriel 2 on hand, so someone do correct if I am wrong).

Hardly anyone uses the WD it comes with anyway.

Ah I see the difference now.
I'm eager to test out Capricorn when it arrives, it's base looks...unusual to say the least, same as flame pegasus.

I havent seen Uriel 2 anywhere and it looks uber pretty

xP did I not explain seasoning? Run your thing through a motor for days until the balls are worn smooth!

The difference in performance... the smoothness between the shaft and the slot will determine how much the shaft moves when the main body moves. So higher lubrication allows the shaft to move more independantly of the casings, and hence the beyblade will move around the stadium less, since the tip will be staying in the same spot even if it spins very fast.

It's the gold one. As you can see, the base has two different modes.

Yes, Uriel2 and Gabriel are some of the nicest Beyblade designs around.

I dont have Gabriel. I really want one. It's like ARGH to find though. I found one on a site a while back and couldnt remember the address afterwards. And chances of getting it in a booster is bleh.
Yahoo Japan Auctions is the best bet for one. They usually sell for 3,000 yen, but you can probably run into one in some lot for cheaper.

I can't get to grips with Yahoo japan no matter how hard I try. *cant read Japanese* so I've yet to find anything at all Unhappy

Use Mail Order Japan. That is what everybody else here does. Annie wrote a really good guide to get you started: http://forums.beywiki.com/showthread.php?tid=4

You have to use a service in order to order.
I'll give that a go. I take it Orthros pops up from time to time too?
There's one around right now. You don't really need to read the text to browse, just look at the pictures ...
If I could find it, I would.

My pc is pissy with auction sites. My BFs PC gets nearly twice as many auctions pop up on his searches than mine (Even if its identical text etc into the search) on ebay and whatnot.
