Since zombie beyblades are described as beyblades that steal spin and have life after death ability, do you think that regular spin stealers should be called vampires or something like?
I think the community has accepted that we have a slightly different perception of Zombies than the Japanese interpretation. Technically, it isn't supposed to be called a Zombie without tuned bearings, but obviously we don't do that.

So basically, are you saying that many people call their beyblade combos zombies when they're actually not?
Zombies are spin stealers with tuned bearings.
I knew that they were spin stealers already, and now I know that they need tuned bearings, but back to my original question, do you think that regular spin stealers should be called Vampires, as in, energy thieves, seeing as they use the other blade's rotation speed to gain momentum?
Nobody in western beyblading really bothers with tuned bearings though. Or even plastic combos for that matter.

I have found the part about plastic combos to be un-true, but I do agree with what you say about the bearings to a certain extent. There are some bladers who want to do things properly so the do use tuned bearings just so they can say that they have a proper zombie blade. And then, there are those who have zombie-esque blades that don't have Bearings.
It is my opinion that tuning should be classified as illegal modification, but that's just me.
We don't really need a monster term to describe a Beyblade. A zombie makes total sense, but anything that sucks/drain/steal could also work in place of a 'vampire'. I'm not really up for calling a spin stealer that's not a zombie something else.
If there was going to be a random big plastic beyblade tournament in NA I'd assume that we'd ban bearing tuning for it.

Is it currently legal in tournaments?

Fair enough, but I still think that it could catch on in the future
I like the term vampire because vampires are so close to zombies in popularity, and since most people use unofficial zombies i think that vampire would be a great name because they do drain energy, but spin stealer is good enough in my oppinion. If we do decide on this name then i'm gonna start calling smash attackers ware-wolves.

Why do you guys want to change things that are set in stone? Most of us know what a smash attack type is. When you post a "where wolf" type combo no one will know wtf you are talking about.

this is the worst post
It was a joke. since all three of those monsters are related i thought i'd make a joke about calling smash attackers ware-wolves. But i guess it wasn't funny..

EDIT: To Cye: i didn't know what a zombie was when first got here so what did I do? I asked what it was in the ask a question get an answer thread and got an answer, the same would apply for this term, though i'm not really in favor of using it.

I don't understand. Just because somebody wants to call smash attackers "werewolves" doesn't mean that "vampires" isn't a good idea. Calling spin stealers "vampires" makes sense.
look the names we have are ingrained in the community and work perfectly fine now if you'll excuse me i'm going to go work on my force smash combo or as i like to call it "frankenstein"

Yeah, i think it makes sense. I like the idea. Also Brad, wasn't really necessary was it? You can't really have a successful board, if everytime somone suggests somthing you just make stupid sarcastic comments about it and being rude towards them.
But why do we need a name change now? Everyone knows what a zombie is. Everyone knows what a spin stealer is. There's no reason to introduce new terminology unless the current terminology isn't accurate, which it is.

Wolborg5, what jokes are necessary?

Brad, look below

zerosys Wrote:sorry...but i dont get it wats a zombie blade

That proves that some people still don't know what zombies are. And, I was just making a suggestion. All it really required was a yes or a no, and why you came to your decision. There was no need for the whole "frankenstein" joke. You disagree with me, and I get that, but wasn't zombie a new term once?
ChozenBlader, the term Zombie was created by the inventors of the combo in 2001. This is an entirely different scenario.

And I was making fun of Bump King's "werewolf" idea. The "vampire" idea makes significantly more sense but I don't see it as necessary.

Im just saying that its not really appropriate to make a joke on somebodys suggestion, even if you disagree, its not really fair to take the mickey.
