LOCATION: TORONTO CONGRESS CENTRE  NORTH - HALL I

All BEYBLADE NORTH 2024 events will be hosted in our space at the back of Hall I in the Toronto Congress Centre North.

We should be in the southeast corner of Hall I. The Floor Plan will be as similar to recent years as we can make it in this new space.

The exact layout is subject to change and may appear different than previous years depending on time, staff, or convention restraints at the time, but we will try to keep things as close to familiar as is permitted.

PRIZES

As is tradition, the top three players in each event will earn prizes for their exceptional play in the tournament.

For now, the prizes will be a mystery but stay tuned to see what incredible things we have in store for you this year!

MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR BEYS!

In some of our previous events we have lent out Beyblades and Launchers for people to use, but for BEYBLADE NORTH 2024 there will be no loaned Beyblades.

You must bring your own Beyblades to be able to participate in these events – make sure to read the rules carefully to know how many you’ll need and what is legal for a given tournament format.

HAVE A BEYSTADIUM? BRING IT!

We will be bringing stadiums for this event, but more are always welcome!

Any BeyStadium is fine for free play, but Beyblade X's "Xtreme Stadium" (BX-07/10/17/00, similar to the one pictured below) are particularly appreciated. If you can bring one, please post here to let us know.

The more Xtreme Stadiums we have present the more matches we can play simultaneously. If you are able to bring additional Stadiums or Deck Boxes, please let me know in advance.

Hello everyone,

It has come to my attention that a release (UX-05 Random Booster ShinobiShadow Select) comes out just a week before Anime North, on May 18th.

Because this is release is so close to our events I do not want to have players feel pressured to try and purchase in time for BEYBLADE NORTH 2024, or have a fear missing of out on a competitively relevant set of parts to use for BEYBLADE NORTH 2024.

In my opinion, no player should feel that they must get parts as soon as they come out to gain a competitive edge, stay relevant or just not lose at our events. This can lead to a fairly toxic competitive culture that we have seen many times in the past. Because of this UX-05 Random Booster ShinobiShadow Select's parts are not allowed to be used for the duration of BEYBLADE NORTH 2024.

To be perfectly clear: you will not be able to use UX-05 Beyblade parts on our Friday or Saturday Beyblade X events even if you did manage to have them shipped over in time. I hope this relieves some potential pressure to be on the absolute bleeding edge of releases and give you time to capitalize on parts you and other participants are more familiar with at BEYBLADE NORTH 2024.

This is a general practice we are looking to implement more frequently to reduce undue financial stress on participants or fear of missing out. Any release with a street date within 13 days of an OBBC event will be "banned" for that particular event (or set of events). If a particular release has been out for longer than 13 days, the part will be "fair play" for all to use. These are not a reflection of WBO Organized Play rules, but a community-specific and player-minded approach by OBBC/current Toronto Organizers.
