No, it's not some snazzy rock band.
you're talking to the classical nut here dude, lol
how long you been playing?
I played since I started middle school. I'm not that great, I was originally 3rd chair, but the 2 people in front of me switched to a different instrument to cover all of the parts.
I screwed up on the second part of the solo, since I was nervous and didn't take in enough air. Oh well
lawl
I play trumpet too, Elmo.
I was first chair my Junior and Senior years back in High School. I know how much it sucks to bomb solos. lmao
I just played at the mall, so it wasn't that bad. It was just during the Christmas season, and the mall was just a
little more crowded than usual. My solo was
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus

for someone who could very well be a classical musician someday, i'm deathly terrified of solos
I was totally terrified of them too at first.
But then I took Jazz Band and my instructor went ape carp on us over improv solos and how necessary they were to the performance.
He had us practice improving in front of the rest of the band while we were playing and that drastically improved my confidence when it came to solos, so when it came time for a solo in Concert Band it was no big deal as I was used to doing it.

i just think jazz is awful.
I think it's fun to play and it's easy to listen to and get into.
What's so wrong with that?

you're turning this into something it shouldn't be, lol.
I don't like to listen nor play jazz. I've been trained/enjoy classical music far better, but can still see the merits of a jazz class.
and kettle chips are disgusting
