Join the Toronto Beyblade community for a 1-on-1 Plastics Format tournament at High Park on May 28th, 2022. Heavy Metal System (HMS) Beyblades are also welcome for use in free play, and I implore you to bring them for a same-day follow-up tournament.

No Plastics? No problem.

To encourage attendance from newcomers, and because I know Plastics are niche, I will be supplying a small pool of loan stock Plastic Beyblades and launchers that you can use or swap out throughout the event. Only one Beyblade is required to play all tournament long.

With that said, it is recommended you bring and use your own Plastics Beyblades or combos you'd like to play with.

Be sure to read the Plastic/HMS Format rules outlined below before attendance.

Location

We'll likely be playing outside, in the gazebo attached to the front of the High Park Nature Centre.

This means that if you're coming to High Park via the Bloor St W entrance, follow Colborne Lodge Dr. down until you'll see the large gazebo on the left-hand side. Check the red pin on the map image below if you're still unsure.

If we aren't in the gazebo out front or on the grass, check behind the Nature Centre as well, as there is another gazebo there.

If you have any questions about the location, time, or date, please feel free to post about it below.

Any updates to the venue location or rescheduling will be posted by me on the morning-of, at the latest. If you see nothing posted to the contrary, assume everything is continuing as outlined here.

NOTE: Public washrooms can be found just west of the Bloor St W entrance of High Park. There are no public washrooms available at the High Park Nature Centre. Do not knock on their door asking to enter. They don't like that.

Tournament Bracket on Challonge

As always, during the tournament while we cannot give you a set time for when your next match will take place, you are welcome to follow along with the tournament bracket on Challonge. Challonge is the management tool we use to run the event.

This event has been approved.
It's the day before our first Plastics tournament in... who knows how long? Make sure to be there before 1:30PM please! If you think you will be late, send me a Private Message.

I'm not sure whether we will get to do Round Robin or Club Format yet, but tomorrow with those present, if we do have Club Format on our hands I will let you guys decide whether we do a truncated Round Robin or Win Streak Format.

Just in case, I have planned for Round Robin and have made the appropriate Challonge event pages.

I forgot this was happening and haven't slept yet lol, hopefully I get enough sleep and can make it out, was really looking forward to playing with old bey.
Thanks for hosting this Dan!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, so many of you came from quite far away! I am going to have to see about another venue that is a bit easier for people in the GTA to make it to. This was an incredible event to run, and it was just downright fun.

Unfortunately I waited as long as I could before starting, until 2, so we ended up going with a very very interesting Club type Winning Streak Format as we were just short of 8. We got 9/10 people later on, but far too late to go with Round Robin. I apologize to the parents and kids I kept waiting so long, but I know many of the people attending were new faces that may not have the easiest time finding the venue, never mind being on time. I also apologize to too, it was very difficult to incorporate you into the already well-underway battles, but I hope to see you both again tomorrow and at future events.

I'd like to give a big congratulations to the following players for getting top 4:

1st Place, 13 Points!

Dan 2nd Place, 9 Points!

3rd Place, 7 Points*!

4th Place, 7 Points*!

*Deck Format Tie-Breaker for 3rd.

This was a really fun and relaxed environment and event, lasting quite a while, well after the Win Streak tournament was over. I will post up the primary combos you all tended to rely on from the box in the appropriate thread. I just wanted to congratulate you three and thank everyone again. It was really great. I am also so happy the TA prototype was fun for the rest of you to play in. Thank you for bringing along so much stuff for others to tinker with (and bring a guest!) and put the repro to good use, especially when we ended up splintering off. I am also so jealous of some of your Phantom Force stuff!

We hope that superior version will be available soon (in the coming months ahead), I am sure you will all know much more about it when that time comes.

Anyways thank you all for letting me share some of my plastics with you, and I hope many of you found them interesting enough to consider getting into. It is so much fun to fiddle with and find unique and interesting combos.

And before I forget!
