Is beyblade a sport? - MasterBlader-X - Jul. 02, 2012

I was in a argument with my big bro and he said beyblade is not a real sport. Is he right, and if so why don't people go pro in beyblade?

See beyblade is not a sport but it is a hobby yeah but in beyblade obsessed countries like japan beyblade is kinda like a sport.

Of course it's not a sport. It's a game. Honestly please think about why what you saying is rediculous for a minute or too and you'll see.

How exactly would one go pro in Beyblade?

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - Meteo4Ever - Jul. 02, 2012

It really depends on how serious you are about it. Technicaly it's not but some people like myself are so competitive about it that it should be one? As far as going pro, some people already are.

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - MasterBlader-X - Jul. 02, 2012

But no ordinary games have big official tournaments all over the world. This is the only game i know that does that.

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - Ultra - Jul. 02, 2012

So what if it does? That doesn't make it a sport at all. That just means it's popular enough to warrant such events.

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - MasterBlader-X - Jul. 02, 2012

But beyblade have all the requirements of becoming a sport.

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - Tetsu - Jul. 02, 2012

Not really...most sports, require you to get up and be really active. This really only requires your arms. Maybe MAYBE you can get a little muscle. But it is categorized as a hobby.

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - MasterBlader-X - Jul. 02, 2012

Thats might be true but what about darts, ping pong they only require your arm and they're still a sport.

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - bj3rdd - Jul. 02, 2012

That's a good point, I think it's a sport but still....
THIS IS RANDOM:
I think blading is helpful to you. It teaches you to have coordination, and basically use your brain. Grin
RE TESTU: You say darts and ping pong require skill, but hey their are many things that are hard to do. Like slide shooting, aiming, precise timing, etc...

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - Tetsu - Jul. 02, 2012

Ping pong and darts require skill. Beyblade is really just figuring out combo and how lucky you are. Sometimes people have unfair advantages in beyblade, maybe because they have more beyblades.

Ping pong requires you to figure out where to hit it in a short amount of time, and controlling your strength.

Darts requires you to be good at aiming, so you can hit the center.

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - MasterBlader-X - Jul. 02, 2012

Just like darts, but in beyblade you have to do the perfect aim so you don't mess up and go out of the stadium or come off the launcher wrong
and like ping pong, well if you launcher the right way and with enough strength your'll all good.

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - bj3rdd - Jul. 02, 2012

@MBX Exactly! Grin I agree with you

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - DefStamina88 - Jul. 02, 2012

I think it's really only a hobby, definitely not a sport. Now tennis, THAT'S a sport...!

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - MasterBlader-X - Jul. 02, 2012

Now thats a fun sport but we're getting off topic

That is simple stuff...
you would have to be blind to not be able to do that stuff...
(Now sometimes we make mistakes, but it isn't hard to aim at the stadium...)

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - MasterBlader-X - Jul. 02, 2012

But there is something called the perfect launch that really works. So it requries skill.

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - Tetsu - Jul. 02, 2012

Ok then, I would like to see you get into a tournament with profesional Dart players and win 1st place, while I try to do the perfect launch...and there is no such thing as a "perfect" launch, nothing is perfect.

Edit: Sorry re-reading this I sounded like a jerk...

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - MasterBlader-X - Jul. 02, 2012

The perfect launch is real. but don't wanna get off topic.
So give me another reason why beyblade shouldn't be a sport.

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - Tetsu - Jul. 02, 2012

Shouldn't?
If it was, I would be happy, my mom would get off my back.

Your changing the whole argument, you said if beyblade was ALREADY a sport. It is not, and it never will be.

This is what are argument was about.

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - Ultra - Jul. 02, 2012

You really don't need any reasons more than we've already told you. It's not a sport at all.

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - MasterBlader-X - Jul. 02, 2012

So ya don't want beyblade to be a sport?

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - Tetsu - Jul. 02, 2012

I would only like it so my parents would get off my back and do sports...

Overall?
No.

RE: Is beyblade a sport? - MasterBlader-X - Jul. 02, 2012

Bout wont it be awesome to become famous from beyblading?
